Well, seeing as how we're all dealing with the "neverending winter" out here in New England (as well as over 70% of the country), it's only fitting to have the slopes openend up again...so we can see more snow...
Serioiusly though, thanks, Avatea! I still have many Candy Canes that need turning in.

However, releasing the beast pack now would have been preferred to skiing that I skipped this year once already.

If somebody you're arguing with goes off the deep end, don't follow.
The riot was avoided because there was open and direct communication.
The vibe that I get is most people know that a Dev's job isn't easy and this isn't the first time that marketing has put them in a bind.
Dev's don't need a riot, they need a raise.

Devs need a raise? Did I read that? It's their fault we had downtime and you want to reward them for it? More ski time? How about extending double xp weekend or something else the bulk of the players can use. As opposed to the 20 or 30 lemmings commending you for throwing the equivalent of table scraps to them.

Right on, I never noticed them being down, but I mostly on at night, or at work so didn't even notice, but nice job on the quick and clean fix.

It's been a bit rough this week, and the servers have been up-and-down the past few days. As a gesture of [gratitude for not rioting] recognition we are reopening the ski chalet and ski slopes in Pocket D from February 4, 2011 (9:00 a.m. PST / 12:00 p.m. EST / 5:00 p.m. GMT / 18:00 CET) to February 8, 2011 (11:59 p.m. PST / 2:59 a.m. EST / 7:59 a.m GMT / 8:59 CET). So hit those slopes and ski to your heart's content, because right afterwards, the Spring Fling event begins!
Have fun, and thanks for bearing with the downtime this week.
