  1. With sales like these I would consider cancelling my sub and grabbing stuff ad hoc..... :/
  2. When I was on teams that got the badge we employed a couple strategies.

First we split the team 2/2 on each spawn point and popped reds while trying to use AoE's to full effect. IF you have a mass immob, that seemed to help my pairings keep them grouped for the AoE's before they scattered like roach's when someone moves the fridge.

We shot for 35-40 (obviously) in each of the fights.
  3. On Canada DAy?!?! I'm there....presently only have my blaster with the prereqs done so unless a miracle happens and something else I have is more useful that is what I will bring.

    RHW attempt

My schedule is all over the place but Sundays are my most consistent "easy to sneak away and get some CoH time in" days. That's not to say I won't try and make whatever day/time you schedule though.
  5. I'm all over this IF I am home in time.. my wife tells me we'll be leaving the outlaws house at the Hami raid start time, so with any luck I should log in just as this is forming. If you are still forming when I get home and are looking for reliable league mates I'll send a tell.
  6. Grats to everyone....I knew you guys would nail this

I found that for my blaster who is spec'd as a range blaster and not a blapper, I could, for the most part, stay out of range of his crackin' lightning. I occasionally creeped into range but after what seemed like the first "tick" of it, I back pedalled quickly out of range. Depending on where I wandered I actually found the Olympians to be more of a problem for me.

Thanks for running these MP. These reminded me of when Lam first came out and they became easier once everyone understood the routine and had the next incarnate powers slotted.

As a side note did you manage to run a successful "Really Hard Way" attempt? I could only shirk my parenting duties so long and had to leave after the successful Mo run.

Your opening statement explains her condition. All west coast Canadians are ....weird.

Back in my university days this subject came up with some of my school friends who weren't from the same region as myself. They could not figure out what my hs buddies and I were talking about when we referred to Vico(chocolate milk) and bunnyhugs(hooded sweat shirts).

    Grats Chad!!!

I will say being a uncle is a blast. You get to rile them up, get them excited and have a bunch of fun, then give them back to mom and dad and watch them try to calm them down.

Not to thread jack but as of Saturday I became part of the parent group for the first time and now have to do the calming down. But once an uncle always an uncle and I still get to rile up my nieces.

I recently upgraded and was looking to go to lion but you do indeed have to get snow first and then lion. At least that was how it was when i did it a couple months ago...pretty sure it hasn't changed yet to a single upgrade.
  14. I lol'd thinking of people finding out that is what the coyote travel power was after having bought it.

I came away with one of these http://www.petzl.com/en/outdoor/ice-...ng-tools/quark.

Can't wait to get out and put it to use.
  18. Curious if everyone had a good holidays. I ate alot of food and was spoiled rotten.

One of the highlights was logging in on Christmas day and getting my last day job badge on my badger. Made me smile.

    How about all you?
  19. I wasn't going to post considering I never really knew DC; just some casual run ins through the course of our playing the same game for certain similar periods of time over the past few years.

I mostly knew/remember him from the heal farm days; I also remember when, as a casual newbie learning the ropes, I would randomly throw out a question I was curious about in VB and more often than not DC was the one that provided the helpful, quick reply to my question. I was also talking my sister over the holidays about the sad news and she mentioned how he helped her farm for the Disruptor badge in a PvP zone in order take part in heal farms. Two things struck me about this; I believe DC wasn't fond of PvP and was still willing to help her out despite not knowing her particularly well either, and as a counter point I didn't help my sister get that particular badge.

I just thought I would add my two bits in and say how I think it is incredibly sad anybody should have to battle like he had to at such a young age, and I believe the community lost a real leader.
  20. I know its a bit late but just want to shout out a big thank you to @wac for the guaranteed Mo run I managed to snag at the auction. I went in to watch the craziness and snag a badge if I could which he delivered on tonight.

All in all the whole thing was a pleasant experience and I definitely will stock up the piggy bank for next year .
  21. A "quick" fix for this is to set up your UI once, type /wdwsave to save it and when it resets either on zoning or when logging in you can use /wdwload to reset it with one command.

Of course if you have individual setups for each toon this isn't much help but it could help get you through until they publish a fix.
  22. Thanks for confirming that Cuppa. In looking at the differences between Snow and Lion it will come down to my preferences/need for the what else the actual OS gives me outside of CoH. Based on the Apple website though I see what you mean by upgrading to Snow "at least." That an interesting business model that you apparently need Snow before you can get Lion; I didn't realize that before.

Anyways thanks for the response Cuppa, you always seem to be the "goto" person for all things Mac related when it comes to these boards.
  23. Sorry if this is covered somewhere already; I looked back/ searched through as many threads as i could but didn't find an "aha!! that exactly answers my questions" post.

Every time I try and browse through the market to spend some of my 2000 well earned ViP points on the market, CoH crashes on me. Simply freezes it up so I need to reboot and everything. I was hoping with the update this morning that this might have been on the QoL improvement list but.... it wasn't.

Now I suspect in reading through some of the other threads, this is due to with the fact that i am running 10.5.8 and, as this is no longer supported, I am SoL until I upgrade. I am not here to complain that it should be fixed for 10.5 rather was just wondering for those of you running Lion that this isn't a similar issue. Leopard is ok for me for right now but this might push me farther down the tracks into upgrading if it lets me use my 2000 points that would be "wasted" if it's a matter of simply upgrading the ol' OS (which I really should have done already anyways.)
