You aren't alone. I have to say, I'm getting pretty tired of all the downtime and the general shape of the game as a whole. This is the worst shape the game has been in ever. Memory leaks, crashes, mish/trial bugs, launcher issues, the list goes on. I understand we are in a transition to Freedom, but we have lost many hours of playtime due to problems cropping up after these upgrades. If it's just a hardware upgrade, why do we lose another 6 hours after the upgrade to fix problems? Which I gotta say, doesn't give me much hope for a smooth release of Freedom.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Why do we have beta/test servers? Yes, they are used, but it makes no sense that a build (supposedly)runs fine on the test but needs a fix days after the release to live. I know that every single scenario can't be tested and there could be minor issues. What I get from that is that they are releasing the build too early and with known bugs.
I'll stop now before I hit full-on rant. This is more of a venting I'm not going to say I'll quit if you don't pull up your socks, devs. But, it is getting increasingly frustrating to try and play this game at times.

Devs need a raise? Did I read that? It's their fault we had downtime and you want to reward them for it? More ski time? How about extending double xp weekend or something else the bulk of the players can use. As opposed to the 20 or 30 lemmings commending you for throwing the equivalent of table scraps to them.

I got it to go. I set the res in the pulldown and didn't click anything, I just restarted the game with options window still open. This clearly isn't right, so I'll bug it next time I'm in-game.

My res always stays at 1024x768. Desktop is 1152x864 and I run all games at 1280x1024. All other options are responsive, but as soon as I click apply, whatever res option I have set switches back to 1024x768. Thinking it was nothing, I restart the game, but it's still at 1024x768. This is the only game with this issue, I can run EQ2, FEAR2,Crysis,Stalker, CoD-MW all at 1280x1024 and all maxed. (exept Crysis)

Specs: Gigabyte mobo w/780 chipset, Athlon 7750BE 2.7GhZ, 2 GB 800MhZRAM, Asus 4850TOP512MB, on-board sound, XP Home, Dell 17" CRT(I know its old, but it look just fine thx)
btw the whole system was just built less than a month ago, so everything is up to date.
