Avatea strike target of the week? Your kidding...
I'll give you a tissue with shards in it.......
I'm the opposite, I was looking forward to the hefty experience bonus on my lower characters. I'd personally prefer it if they alternated a level 50 TF and a lower-level TF, but that's just me.
Nobody says you can't do other level 50 content, there's plenty out there waiting to give you shards.
No matter what TF they have us doing, you'll still get a Notice of the Well. That's really the point of doing these. You can get shards anywhere.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
I thought next week was supposed to be the ITF. I'm pretty disappointed by this change, the ITF would have given me exactly what I needed to craft my second Rare. I guess I can always breakdown the reward from Kahn/Cuda, but ugh those are both terrible to run (especially Cuda).
As to the topic, I'm glad it's not just going to be level 50 TFs (I was worried that it would be). I'd rather not run the same 4 TFs (STF/LRSF, Kahn/Cuda, ITF, LGTF).

The Incarnate System is not the sole reason for the Weekly Strike Targets - obviously otherwise no merits or xp would be awarded.

With the XP boost, everyone should have inferred they would not limit it to just level 50 TF/SF.
At least I did.
I'm just wondering how they would pair the Shadow Shard TF with something red side

Here lets do this, I'll run the SPTF for you and I'll keep your notice of the well and you can keep the inf, deal?

Also, if you're concerned that your level 50 is going to find a low level TF difficult, then, you're doing it wrong.

Rock, rock on Hamster.
The devs have been trying for years to get people to do more TFs. They added rare recipe rewards in large part to get people to do them, and then switched that to reward merits, and that still didn't get large numbers of players to participate. Part of the problem is that getting teams together for TFs is extremely difficult unless your supergroup is doing it.
By designating a TF of the week, the devs are gating a large number of players through the same content. This will make it much easier for people to find teams because so many people will be doing the same TF. This will also get a broader swath of players doing them, so a bigger segment of the player base will be more familiar with them, which means they'll know how they work and they'll (eventually) be more efficient doing them. Which will make them much less painful to do. When you know what you're doing, most of the TFs aren't significantly harder or time-consuming than a similar string of 5-10 missions.
It's a good idea to include lower level TFs in the WTF schedule so that more people can get the Task Force Commander accolade. By providing a way to make forming TF teams easier (making everyone do the same one each week), the devs are helping all those players who just haven't been able to get on a TF but want those badges and the associated accolade.
But if you don't want to do a certain TF because you don't get shards, skip it that week and do the ITF again. And again. And again...
I particularly like the part where he blames Avatea for the choices.
"Mailman, why did you bring me McDonalds coupons this week? I wanted A&W!"
@Roderick
For once I am actually excited about a Dev decision. I think the WTF is a great idea and will help people get used to finding TF teams. I've haven't seen so many people running TFs on pinnacle in years.
I also hope they decide to remove a few from the rotation. Some like the Caverns, Katie, Hess, Eden, Sewers and the Shard TFs, just don't have a Red counterpart. A part of me does hope they slip in Moonfire and Mender Silos.
I Wish they would revamp the Shadow Shard. Make it co-op. Add some light bridges, those jump jets just suck. Clear the fog of war and rework the TFs so they never leave the Zones. There is some great content out there that is just such a pain to access that relatively few ever bother.

I am liking the weekly target theme to generate interest in TFs/SFs. I am also very glad it covers lower level content. I may actually go play some of these now...the older TFs/SFs are just terrible and tough to stomach. This game has some good stuff but these older TFs/SFs are a bit of a black mark. I hope the revamps are done and soon. Anyway, I like this new weekly target program!
I'm the opposite, I was looking forward to the hefty experience bonus on my lower characters. I'd personally prefer it if they alternated a level 50 TF and a lower-level TF, but that's just me.

At first when I saw that the first weekly strike target was going to be Statesman/Lord Recluse TFs I was scared it was going to be only lvl 50 (well higher level) content but I am really glad they are going to include the lower level stuff. Otherwise what is the point of giving a hefty XP reward if what they really invisioned was lvl 50s running it only??
Not everyone dislikes exemping!

It almost seems like they're intentionally making all the targets be TFs that nobody wants to do. That's really not the best way to increase the interest in the TFs. If something isn't fun, you don't tie extra rewards to it. It sure didn't work for PvP... just made those items extremely rare since most people aren't willing to put up with unfun things just for the reward.
If someone said "Hey, what should we do about these TFs that suck and are boring?" my first thought wouldn't be "Let's tie them to the new things we just released so people have to play the lame content to get their incarnate stuff."
Maybe I'm just being cynical. It's not like I won't run them anyway. I really want my incarnate components. I just won't have much fun doing it.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Personally I hope they mix more of the lower level TF/SFs into it. I know the Alpha is the newest shiny, but it's not the only reason to play. If it was, why even bother doing anything other than farm your way to 50.
