We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy new year which we hope will bring much happiness and prosperity!

As a token of appreciation for your continued support , we are extending City of Heroes's in-game holiday event festivities by four weeks! You will now be able to enjoy the Winter Event until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, January 30, 2011 (Monday, 31 January 2011 7:59 a.m. GMT - 8:59 Central European Time).

I'd rather have some free server transfers. Another 4 weeks is a bit long.

Oh well, an excuse to get toy collector.

****. I think I'm getting all misty-eyed. Like pretty much everyone I know, I love the Chalet. For some weird reason it has a magic charm on everyone. Never had so much quality pickup RP either than when the Chalet is open. I know it's made more special by not being around all the time, but this still totally makes my day.

Hm, I remember last year it was extended a bit but we also had the transfers. I hope those return.

I wonder why this was extended?? Was there a hitch in the Winter Event? I dont really recall there really being any problems....

Right at the start; there was problems with getting into Lord Winter's Realm as well as a couple of TF bugs.


What's amazing is I called this this morning. I was running round Galaxy collecting presents and I said on a global channel "No doubt I'll finish collecting these presents and they'll announce an extension later".

This is great! When they announced that the Winter Event would only be two week, I complained that it was too short. So I'm very happy to get more time to ski and collect rewards on my newer characters (all I had time for was to get them the Jingle Jetpack).

Super! More time to replenish the Slow Resist IO stock for the year :-)

BTW, if the events going to run for a while longer, would it be possible for someone to look into the spawn points for Winter Lords in Praetoria? Some of them are very inconveniently placed indeed (e.g. next to Warrant, or at the Imperial City train station). The pesky WLs hang around for such a long time once spawned, too.

I'm pleased as punch! Those snowmen an the Elite bosses are droppin Shardz!! And the halos, badges and winter's gift slow res resipes are nice too.

Can't seem to do better then silver for any of my skiers though... I lack the skill and or lagless computer to stay on course at insane speeds.

THey are extending it 4 weeks, because Castle did not tell them how to turn it off. That is the estimated time it will take to find it

How bout stuffing the rest of the alpha slot boosts into some of the gifts?
