When I started playing on Saturday, I was incredibly sad and depressed as I started my last double XP weekend. I was listening to music and every song brought tears to my eyes, evoking memories of loss and depression.

As I played, I realized that I wasn't ready to say goodbye to this game yet. I meant to, I really did. I just couldn’t. I played all day, much of the night and most of the day Sunday. I did my first (and likely only) Hami raid, I finally found a team on Triumph. I met new friends and saw some old ones. I played with my real life friends and it was great.

I know that when it does end, it will be worse by not choosing my own time. But I’m just not ready.

I thank you, Lord Garth, for your good and kind words. I am glad that your experiences with me were good ones. I know that there are people who can be jerks, but almost every time I teamed I had a good time. No one made fun of my terrible typing (which was usually being done while trying to blast bad guys) and laughed at my bad puns. I hope we can team again before the end.

Just being lazy. I'll take a look.

If they count all my donation's I'll make my goal. If not, the charity will still get the money.

Hey all, I set up a continuing donation for a sponsor, but it didn't give me credit for the amount. Will it count in the overall total or just what came out this month?

Humph! I sent out 11282 emails and only 9 people clicked through, but didn't donate!

You may know that this Saturday is the Extra-life Charity event. Most of the players are elsewhere (Virtue, Freedom). I couldn't bear the thought that Liberty would go into the darkness without one last stand for Liberty and for Life.

I will be on Liberty, playing from 8:00 AM CST on Saturday until 8:00 AM Sunday

The reason that it makes no difference is because Sprint is an inherent power at level 1. You cannot exemplar low enough for it to be unavailable.

Could you provide a little more detail on how the weapon unlocks happen? I looked on Paragon Wiki for the Rikti Invasion but it doesn't mention them.

Maybe mac users shouldn't be so touchy about their hardware. They are good solid machines, but they weren't designed by any deity I know of.

All computers, Apple to Xerox, were made by people and are thus prone to the vagaries of human effort. People make mistakes. Sometimes people chose a non optimum engineering solution for a variety of reasons; cost, size, performance, nerd factor and even personal reasons.

I don't think that considering that CPU intensive tasks might task a MPB is an attack. Further, the speed of the fans is not the only factor to consider. No matter how fast a fan may spin if it doesn't have good airflow over the heating components and a way to exhaust this heat, it may not cool properly. It's not unreasonable to surmise that a thin laptop might lack in proper cooling channels.

There isn't any point in talking about technical issues if you are going to bristle over perceived slights.

During the last Double XP event I asked on Freedom Friday about XP boosters stacking with double XP and was told that they did indeed stack. Sure enough, someone in the game tested it on taskforce and it worked as described.

However, this was before the 50% and Double XP boosters were in the store so I am not sure if it will hold true this time or not.

I'll try and ask next Freedom Friday or someone else can.

I recovered a Miracle proc and a Stealth proc that had expired by petitioning. He did point out that it was a courtesy and to be more careful in the future. So it is possible.

I know there is lot of States hate by the player fanbase, but I think that it is OK for there to be one hero who was openly a boyscout.

Every hero does not need to be dark and grim, or have a tortured past or just be a normal dude/dudette with superpowers. They also don't have to be crazy or jaded or smug or self serving.

Statesman was a hero who did the right thing because it was right. He helped people who needed help. He was a symbol when Paragon City needed a symbol. He wasn't perfect, after all, he was a redeemed villain (or at the very least a rouge). He was a heroic symbol and a symbol for redemption.

He was an immortal who willing risked an eternal life to do what was right.

It was OK for there to be one hero like that.

But surely, that is their choice, is it not?

After all, they could REALLY bypass the market by vending the salvage or recipes, making much more than expected return of 1 inf. The fact that these are available at all at the low price you suggest would seem to indicate that rather than avoiding the market, most people just choose not to bother learning how to work it effectively.

The common complaint I hear about the market is that the price of salvage is too high, not that the market exists at all.

I have heard many complaints about I/O's but none about the 'lewt' grind. Of course that is apocryphal evidence just as you own is and proves nothing but our personal experience.

The closest thing to 'lite gear has nothing to do with the market and everything to do with the incarnate system. I've never seen someone denied the chance to team because they weren't purple out with most expensive I/O's. But I know that some ITrial leaders will not accept toons who are not at least +2 level shifted for certain trials. In fact, many of them post on the forums and explain why they have these requirements.

If you measure your success by how much fun you have than the power that others have is meaningless. If you measure by ***** size (or if you PvP) then you might need to min/max your build.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't a free character slot rewarded with the Vet Badge?

I know you got one per year when Freedom launched and I was under the impression you got one for every year. Not a problem for me since I'm VIP and have maxed out slots on my favorite server but it might be nice for some players.

They have become pretty scarce. BUT...

There are a couple of ways to get one.

1. Alignment merits - 1 Hero/Villian merit will get it done

2. Reward merits - If you bought Superpacks you prolly have quite a few. Or you could do task forces - 150 merits

3. Enhancement converter - Buy an Exploited Vulnerability (any one of them at the appropriate level (20 or so). Do an out of set (in category) conversion to get into Achilles's Heel, then spend 3 converters until you get the proc. 50/50 chance since there are only 2 other possibilities.

4. Patience on the market - It will fill eventually. I needed 1 Shield Breaker at level 30 and it finally filled after a month.

5. Trade with someone here - I've got one sitting in my base and if you can't get it any other way, let me know and I'll mail it to you.

When in doubt, check Most recent under your badges. Finding the costume parts can be tricky but badges shouldn't be.

Even if the message never appears the badge should be near the top of the badge list (unless you badge a lot, but it will still be on the list)
