I won't forget!
Meh, good riddance. Shove off States. My only regret in your death is that you didn't take that Mary Sue granddaughter with you instead of Sister Psyche.

Can't echo Chad enough, I've always hated that Statesman was the face of the game, he just screams "this is as generic a hero game as you can get!". I thought the "main hero" looked so silly on the CoH box I almost didn't buy it, luckily I did and the game is awesome.
I love that the new dev team is so dedicated to making our characters feel epic and powerful, whereas the Emmert-era made sure to keep all players in their lackey spots as his fanfic character got all the limelight.
Agreed. I understand that States filled the "Superman"-esque role, but he just never seemed a very interesting or engaging character to be front and center. I think the post-States era will be much more interesting from a story standpoint.

Cold, they even removed him from the login screen.
ive always disliked states as well, what actually got me into the game was city of villains, recluse is so much cooler lol
Also, I can understand the hate for Emmert... but the hate towards Statesman just seems like the 'popular' thing. *shrug*
To each their own.

How much of the old content is Statesman removed from? Is he even removed from Maria's original arc, A Hero's Hero? Because that would be just weird. Removing him from A Hero's Epic is fine since that's her current arc, but her old arc is way before the death of States.

Otherwise States is gone, I don't even see him available in the AE

Thanks to @EnsonsDeath for the GVE code that made me VIP again!
If you run Hero's hero via Ouro you can still get Statesman's pal badge, hero epic now gives positron's pal badge.

Just glad my statesman tribute alt posed for screen shots next to him in IP before the "Great Statesman Erasure"
I haven't run one, but I've seen no indication he's been removed from the Lord Recluse Strike Force.
Oh, but he has...

I know there is lot of States hate by the player fanbase, but I think that it is OK for there to be one hero who was openly a boyscout.
Every hero does not need to be dark and grim, or have a tortured past or just be a normal dude/dudette with superpowers. They also don't have to be crazy or jaded or smug or self serving.
Statesman was a hero who did the right thing because it was right. He helped people who needed help. He was a symbol when Paragon City needed a symbol. He wasn't perfect, after all, he was a redeemed villain (or at the very least a rouge). He was a heroic symbol and a symbol for redemption.
He was an immortal who willing risked an eternal life to do what was right.
It was OK for there to be one hero like that.
Of all this game heroes, Statemans was the most shallow! Is soo generic and predictable . They never even try to develop him a personality.
The only good thing about Him was the creation of his Antithesis the Mighty Tyrants!

It took me a good while to earn the Master of Statesman's Task Force badge... and now come tomorrow afternoon the badge will be renamed...
Kind of petty, but oh well. At least I am able to remain Statesman's Pal.
I will remember who it was that put out the call to stop Lord Recluse that day.
I will remember who's Task Force it was that I mastered.
I will remember him even after he's long been cast aside.
Rest easy, Marcus.
