I do like this event but another month of it might be a bit too much. Nice gesture by the devs and all but another week or two would have been sufficient.
I think the best part of a short duration is causing players to come out and play in a small time frame/window of opportunity. More the merrier! 
I look forward to it finally ending.

Some of them are very inconveniently placed indeed (e.g. next to Warrant, or at the Imperial City train station). The pesky WLs hang around for such a long time once spawned, too.

The problem is the Big Group badges. There is a rush the first week or so but not everyone has alt-itis. I was having a hard time getting groups for Winter Lord / Lord of Winter the last couple of days. Extending the event isn't going to change that.
*shrugs* Guess I'll work on Toy Collector for my lowbie toons.

Nothing to complain about exactly, but I'm wondering -why-, since I'm not buying it as a
"thank you for supporting us" thing. That would've come in the form of a 2XP weekend, or
some other more tangiable form of appreciation like free server transfers and renames for
a week or something.
An extension on an event is the sort of thing we get when there was a problem. Is it
because of the east-coast winter storming? The early lord winter bug? And why not just
say so if so? Are the new PR Overlords too afraid to couch anything in terms other than
"we're gonna make a thread for you to be grateful to us, so be grateful!" ways?
I dislike being suspecious of something relatively innocent, but this lines up in a really
peculiar way, however it's sliced.

Every year they start with a fairly short event, then extend it as the new year begins.
Every year some people complain about the seemingly short event and I post to remind them that it will be extended.
See? Extended! Now next year I'm just going to link back to this post

I'm taking this as confirmation that 2xXP weekend will not be in January, which means I can make myself available to go to AFCEA West for my employer if they so desire. Big IF though, since I don't know how exactly useful I would be, but it would be great experience.
Hmm, I wonder how close Paragon Studios is to AFCEA West.. will have to poke around ^_^

I was sort of hoping for an extension (I was busy with RL the last 3 weekends), but 4 more weeks? Wow. They'll be turning it off just in time to turn on the Valentine event 
What would be really cool though would be if they'd fix it so our older characters can get the Holiday Cheer/Spirit temp powers. Only my 2 or 3 new characters got them this year and I miss giving out gifts.

I don't have a problem with an extension for this particular event, but I do think it's a tad much for it to be extended an entire month. A couple of weeks at most would have been more than enough. I'd rather these events remain semi-special by having them kept reasonably short. In the real world there are already places which start selling Christmas stuff as early as September and that kind of thing is just silly. I'd prefer not to see a similar "holiday season creep" happen in this game as well.

A) They didn't know until too late that the event had been extended,
and/or,
B) They still didn't have time to cash in all their candy canes?

Where shall we go to find RP? An obnoxious dance club that looks like an implicit endorsement of cyber, or a great looking chalet with charm and divergent gameplay?
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
Thanks, this will make my son very happy as he loves fighting snowmen. A suggestion for next year would be to start the event earlier rather than run it a full month later. My son reupped our subs right before Thanksgiving week as he would be off for the week and could play. He hoped the event would start right after Thanksgiving and to his kid centered view of time passing the wait of a couple of weeks was forever. Anyway he will be happy it will run longer now, so not a complaint, just a thought for next year.
