Discussion: Issue 19 Launch Update
Appreciate the update. Thanks.

It's better to wait for something that works than to have a broken product NAO.
I kinda saw this coming. Been able to get the last few patch days off work so I could play uninterrupted but a nasty bug always shows up when I'm off work
Would be kinda nice to see a partial update that would allow us to go ahead and earn shards so we can save them up and use them on launch day.
Friends don't let friends buy an ncsoft controlled project.
A pity, but entirely understandable.
Is the showstopper something we know about?

Lady-Dee: Hey my fat keeps me warm in the winter and shady in the summer.
Anyway, much as I was looking forward to respeccing this weekend and kicking butt on the Apex and Tin Mage TFs next week during my break, I'll live.

Sadly, this is expected news.
Nonetheless, still gives me time to get my 50s set up for Issue 19!
Glad to know that I19 is delayed for the showstopping bugs. Better to get those out of the way before I19 is released. Gives me some time to play my other characters close to 50 before they can work on the path of incarnates.
ATs to 50 - TA/A Def, Nrg/Nrg Blaster, EM/EA Brute, WS,ELM/ELA Stalker
Thanks for the update. It's appreciated, although we pretty much already knew that I19 still needed to have a few sizable bugs squashed before it went live.
What I really want to thank you for is just communicating at all. I don't know if there was some sort of new guideline brought into effect severely limiting developer interaction on the forums, if things are just really that busy at PS right now, or if there's some other reason or combination of reasons, but developer communication has been noticeably lower lately. Even during this Issue's admittedly short closed beta, there wasn't a whole lot of interaction between developers and testers. I know that we're usually spoiled when it comes to developer interaction, but things have just been rather quiet as of late.
Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."
I'm gratified for the announcement. It's always nice to have a more concrete
idea what's up. But.
So you can start gearing up now for the content that Massively.com calls, “well worth the wait."

here is really starting to grate. The heck do I care what massively says about it? I'm
already here. I'm subscibed. I'm reading the forums to see what's going on. I don't
need the added pimping like you're trying to sell me what I already buy.
Thanks for the update! Definitely appreciate the dedication to resolving the bugs before going live.
I'd like to add my heartfelt thanks for the update. Even when it's not the best news I would rather know what's going on than guess and wonder.
My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw
Understood and appreciated. I've actually got a few friends who regular on Khelds plus a bunch (including myself) with Doms. I'm glad you're opting to wait rather than release now with problems or roll-back later. I really, REALLY appreciate that - roll backs are ugly and could cause other issues
I support your decision and I'm glad that the powers that be are allowing you to do this. I think we can all think of games where the developer wanted to do something but the publisher/management forced them to do something less than ideal or even questionable. As such, I feel that much better about Paragon Studios and NCSoft as well as the money I've spent with you wonderful folks over the years.
Enjoy Turkey Day and the Black Friday sales if you dare brave them!

Thanks for at least talking to us!
Thank you so much for updating us. It means a lot to have a Development team that keeps the players updated instead of guessing at everything.
While it would have been nice to have I19 for the holiday, I would much rather have it in a working condition for all players a few weeks later.
Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
You know, I'm actually kind of glad it's being delayed. First reason is we get to have a far-less buggy update. Second is that this gives me plenty of time to (finally) get my namesake Tanker to level 50 before the Alpha Strike!
Level 48... just two more levels... gotta keep pushing forward!

"Our goal is to release Issue 19: Alpha Strike! as soon as we can after the Thanksgiving Holidays (November 25th through November 28th). "
Can someone clear this up for me? will issue 19 be released between the 25th to the 28th november or is that the duration of the thanksgiving holiday, and it will be released after that?
@EndGamer
That is the duration of the holiday, it will be released after.
Thanks for the update!

Well, at least I can spend more time improving how I apply my makeup.
This thread is to discuss the official announcement found here.
Thanks,
