Does this mean Defenders don't get any alternate animations? Because for Defenders, Sonic Resonance is a Primary and the blast sets above are all Secondary.

As far as I can tell, two years after Epic IOs were released and Defenders and Tankers are the only two ATs that don't have purple sets designed for their primaries. No Defense or Resist purples. No Buff or Debuff purples. No healing purple.

So at least Defenders aren't alone.


Where do we go from here?

are new animations going to be introduced with each new update as well? I would definitly like more options for some of my guys and have no issue waiting on it. As I wouldn't call it a QoL more of an added bonus.

OK, prediction: The Nemesis we visit in Ouro is from Praetoria. That screenshot you see is either A) A destroyed version of the Ouro in Praetoria that Praetorian Nemesis first started with, or B) A future version of Ouro which is under attack by various forces.
There is no Praetorian Nemesis. I believe Posi said at one of the panels that they liked to think the Praetorian Gerhardt Eisenstad had lived out his life contentedly as a toymaker; thus, he would likely have died a century or more before the Hamidon Wars.

Also: Yay, animations! (Yay, other stuff, too, but the stuff about alternate animations is new info.)

What I meant by that comment is that Hamidon having tentacles does not make it an octopus. Hydra has tentacles and it is not an octopus. The Kheldian Nova Form has tentacles and it is not an octopus. I am willing to bet that Hamidon is not an octopus form. I bet it is much freakier than that.

Castle said yesterday that there were no extra slots.

Although, technically, that isn't true - as the 4 new inherent powers will come with the normal defaut first slot

The most annoying part of it was when there was the bug that would activate your toggles each time you zoned - so even doing something as normal as traveling from Atlas Park to Kings Row by train would see you thumping and screaming the moment you stepped off the train - it was way too alpha-male-marking-his-territory for lots of people

It's not that the animation of sound effects are bad, it's just that while most of the other power animations are pretty neutral, Intergation seemed way to specific - it really made everyone who used it look like some kind of cave person

I love the idea of fitness finally becoming a inherent power and its still slot-able but I see and issue maybe with 2 powers almost everyone gets and most who do slot it 2 with two more per power there might be a slotting shortage with the ability of opening 2 other powers

ex old toon had heath and endurance with 3 slots each --said toon was slotted tight and used all for needed/wanted powers to be IO'ed with 5 to 6 slot IO's

now those 2 powers are free and need to be slotted with 3 slots to keep toon play balance as same -now you want to use those 2 new powers that became available with maybe another attack type power

whoops now your short say somewhere between 5 to 6 slots per new power for a total need to IO right of 8 to 10 slots needed

a fix of this maybe to start 3 slotting reward availability earlier than level 30 ish to level 20 for a fix or at level 40 slotting goes to 4 or 5 for the fix

any other ideas besides picking powers that only need 1 slot????

I think it's quite possible he really is dead - but that doesn't mean that the Primal Earth Nemesis can't get invovled in Praetoria - after all, it's not like he doesn't have any experience with inter-dimensional wars

If activating Integration with the alternate animation has you do a "popdance" i'd have to make a regen user with a name along the lines of "Codpiece of Power"...

New animations and emanation points will be great. Now i'm really looking forward to seeing the promotional video.

Very interested in seeing what the reworked Incarnate System and new task forces will be like as well.

It occurs to me that both Fiery Assault and Icy Assault have elemental swords in them, wonder if we'll see the "no swords" camp appeased there, or if the alternate animations are just for the blast type powers in the set. I'd bet on it just being for the blasts, but you never know.

Now we just need customizable pool powers, especially the travel powers.

Would love a better running animation for super speed (plus the ability to remove the yellow power thinger at your feet)

Hasten. If I could remove the glow from hasten I would be in happy town, it has never looked good on my DM toons...

Seriously, what's wrong with picking up some one-slot wonders: Stealth, Recall Friend, Vengeance, Health Pool powers, TP, etc...?

Frankly, I get annoyed when I'm the only one on the team with Recall Friend.

I would like an option where I can choose additional slots instead of a power choice after a certain level (say 35?).

So when I get to level 35/38/41/47/49 I can choose 3 more slots instead of a power. Sure this means I will be able to 6-slot more of my powers but I will also have less powers in total (less Travel Power/Leadership/Epic/TP/Medicine powers which will make different aspects of the game harder).

Or if thats too much let me only get 2 slots when I chose this option.
