You must be a Cthulhu cultist - and he's going eat you too, even if you worship him

I see Hamidon being the source of the coming storm. If he becomes an trans-dimensional entity, his reach could become infinite.

By the way, is anyone else getting a Gravemind kind of vibe from the Praetorian Hamidon (assuming that is in fact the source of the tentacles)? I half expect that thing to pick up my character and tell it that "I AM A MONUMENT TO ALL YOUR SINS..."

Quite a bit of discussion about inherent Fitness..

From what was posted in the original announcement, I would say that much like rest, all the fitness powers 'ungray' at level.
After that, much like brawl, you can slot them, or much like brawl... ignore them.

Rather simple dissectioning of what was said versus how inherents unlock really...

Couldn't it get the same message accross just by giving us a copy of WoW?

Actually, the poster he's supposedly portrayed on in Praetoria makes him look alot like Gravemind. All he needs is the mandibles and he'd be complete.

Yes. And a rogue on a hero-side task force has to travel the old fashioned way. No Ouro for you! So jumping straight from Talos to King's Row could be very handy. ^_^

I get a kick out of the fact that rather than run from the upper corner of the TI map to Citadel (less than a minute), I'll zone to Ouro, then zone to TI. Can an insta-teleport power to any zone in the universe be far off?
No it continues to make what people were already fighting constantly, easier, while the enemies they were avoiding are still just as difficult as ever.

Knives of Artemis (*note: this doesnt mean there arent people who find this group easy...it's just an example), people still avoid, even at easier levels of difficulty, because they find them more difficult.

CoH hasn't become easier, people just avoid some of the more difficult enemies, so it only seems that way.

Hmmm...a thought just occured to me...

Does this mean those who can load a map faster than they can travel across the zones, just got a big boon in stepping in the Green Tram in Skyway and exiting the Yellow Tram in Skyway, when wanting to cross the zone?

They're free. Who's going to toss them aside? That's like saying that the Nemesis Staff vet reward should be boosted to make it more desireable....

I don't find them difficult so much as TREMENDOUSLY ANNOYING.

It simply isn't fun to wipe up a spawn and be stuck buffing your nails for five minutes waiting for the 100-deep pile of caltrops they buried you in to de-spawn. There's no challenge to it, it's just tedious.

/edit
that said, they'd probably make good toys for my mind/kin controller! =P

Annoyingly difficult then ;p

But there are other enemies, that was just one. Rularuu are another difficult group that you don't hear people talking about how easy they are (okay, on Will Power based melee toons, I personally think they become a lot easier, but other sets, not so much).

And there are enemy groups that can eat through many toons, but then 1 or 2 of the right powerset combo's make that enemy fraction weep.

It also makes rapid-response much easier, which is important to us heroes, right?

In this scenario, let's assume that I'm in Atlas Park to begin.

WARNING: Rikti Ships are heading towards Founder's Falls!
Me: No problem. (Fights Rikti)
WARNING: Zombies in Steel Canyon!
Me: No problem. (Fights Zombies)
WARNING: The Praetorians are attacking Brickstown!
Me: No problem.
WARNING: Rularuu in Atlas Park!
No problem.

QOL FTW!

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

This isn't like an un-slottable vet reward. Your still need to invest enhancements, there just been made available from level one, without the prerequisites.

Actually, getting eaten and actually DYING is the reward.
Punishment is being forced to stay alive, helpless and powerless as you watch him devour, destroy, and torment everything you know, love, and hold dear.

There are a million fates worse than death... And the Elder one can do them all to you.

I think Rommy is complaining that Reichsman has too many HP, and Reichsman is complaining that he wanted Roman armor before level 35

Is it just me... Or has some of the wording on the announcement page changed since this thread cropped up?

So no it's looking like every just gets the whole set unlocked at level 2, slottable at will. Instead of being able to choose them out of order into your power-picks...

Or am I somehow off base on this?

There was confusion on the original annoucement, in that it sounded like you still had to use up a power slot to get access to the fitness powers.

With the new post, it sounds like you get the all at level 2, and can slot them by choice.

I think some are hoping they can choose whether or not they unlock the inherent powers, so they can decide if they take swift/hurdle, as I can't picture anyone actually turning down the freebies of Health/Stamina even on builds that don't currently have them.

Im still confused on this whole alpha slot. So does this mender give you some type of mission to get one? Can these slots be bought by merits? What do you fill the slot with? Is it like a Super-Purple IO?
