The 5 Most Annoying Maps & Mission Types
For me probably some of the stuff in the Shadow Shard Task Forces. Defeat all Rularuu in cave. Do it again on the same map. Now again. Now grab 2 glowies at the same time. Now 4! 4 again! OMG it's 6 AM...

I, too, love the vampire generators.
Worst mission ever is totally the one you need for the Plague Carrier badge, with the glowies in the massive outdoor map. Really, anything that involves outdoor glowies. Oranbega I can handle, but when they could be anywhere on one of the huge outdoor maps? Ugh.
NPCs: A Single Method to Greatly Expand Bases
well he's not saying they're bad just annoying
Most annoying Missions:
Hunt X number of y in specific part of zone
Anything in the Tree maze of Perez
On Justice

Clear-alls in any Council/5th cave map that includes the Nazi Fish Farm.

That makes finding those glowies in the Plague Carrier mission much much easier.
My least favorite map is the ruined/flooded city map. That is a major pain on the eyes
Offhand, my least favorite missions would be the various Kill Everything on the Ship missions, and the Defeat Patient Zero mission where you have Wasting Disease, don't have Stamina, and are fighting Vahzilok. I almost always autocomplete that one.
The "find the one enemy in the giant outdoor flooded city map" missions are also irritating. And all the timed kill alls in various high level Peregrine missions (I don't know if the revamped arcs kept those). And all the "kill fifty of X" hunt missions in higher level, older content.

Any Defeat Alls in a map with assloads of elevators. You never know what floor you missed a mob
"Go and talk to Warzone Liason/Hero Corps/Blahdyblah"
Stop telling me about these people first up to send me over to where they are and then all the way back to say I've spoken with them. At least wait until I have your number, or better yet, tell me and shut up and don't make me see them!
Particularly bad when a bunch of my contacts keep asking me to go see the Siren's Call Rep.
I -don't- want to!

would make Dr. David Banner green before casting tier1 pet

Defeat-alls in any blue cave, but especially the ones with the multi-layer room and the twisty room that goes under/over itself so the map never tells you how the heck to get in/out of it...
Defeat-alls in any Council underground map with the water room...
Defeat-alls in any office/lab map with more then 3 floors, because if some mob ran and wedged himself in a corner you have to go up and down all trying to figure out what floor you missed...
Defeat-alls or glowies in Oranbega.
Really, I'm not fond of defeat-alls to begin with, the choice of whether or not to clear the place should be up to me, but adding complicated maps with lots of crannies and hard-to-get-to places just makes the whole thing worse.
the most annoying types of things for me are:
- kill alls on outdoor maps
- simultaneous click glowy mishs
- ANY lead hostage out mish
Multiple hostages on those outdoor city maps with a million places for them to hide. Multiple hostage with different names (so targetcustomnext doesn't work) are even worse.
Multiple blinkies on giant outdoor maps or the cargo ship map. Especially multiple blinkies that don't disappear when you click them (so targetcustomnext keeps targeting blinkies you've already clicked), and the blinkies fade in so they're hard to see.
Multiple lead-outs on big maps.
Any mission where I have to keep an ally alive or the mission will fail. The allies are inevitably squishy and stupid and attach themselves to the tank. Double bonus points when the mission is against Nemesis, in which case the allies are squishy, stupid, and stick to your behind like glue until there is a lieutenant to chase down and kill first. Then they do that, then resume standing right next to you.

No one brought up the Nemesis Mole Machines mission? aka "push attack buttons for an hour straight on inanimate objects."
Of course, I won't blame anyone if they purged it from their mind.

the only part that annoys me is the no xp part, but i understand why they have to be that way
#5.... Find the Glowie in Oranbega
#4.... The Lead a Hostage Out in a 5 Level Office Map #3.... The Council Vampire Generator Map & Mission |
#2.... The Defend the Circle in Croatoa |
Croatoa's "Stop 30....." mission is worse.
And the most annoying map mission is..... #1.... The Defeat All in the Cave Cake Layer Map! Anytime I get this one I immediately auto-complete. |
The Layer Cake room is easy, it just has a memorable title bestown upon it by the player base. Enter the room, hang a right and clear going counter-clockwise, taking the ramps as you see them. Get to the top, drop down a level, circle that level, drop down one and repeat. Easy.
The hardest part would be accidentally falling down a level, but it's not like we don't have vertical travel powers much sooner than we used to (I'm thinking Mayhem/Safeguard Temp Towers at L5+ and Vet Reward "skip a tier" to take a travel power at L6+.)
Now I'm sure there's a method that is easy to remember that makes the fish hatchery room quick and efficient, but taking the two "problematic" rooms out of both maps, the Council one is far more annoying to me.
Defeat all, glowie hunt or hostage rescue on any huge map.
The cake layer cave isn't that bad if you have vertical travel and no pets.
