Sometimes the entitlement complex displayed by the forumgoers here plain disgusts me. "What do you mean we can't faceroll our way through this content, like 99% of the rest of the game?!", you cry. "Why can't I solo this content designed for 24 players within a day of release? What do you mean I might have to listen to others??", you sob as your FF/DP Defender ineffectually hurls bolts at Marauder. "I am a special snowflake! This end-game content, specifically said by the devs to be extremely hard and providing the biggest challenge yet seen in CoX, is far too hard!!", you mumble through the tears and snot staining your face and collection of anime figurines. "It's all too much. Time to make a forum post, just like with the last nine TFs the devs released!"

It's a fun fluff power. I wouldn't be against merging it with Recall Friend and adding something cool like a self-teleport to a random nearby area, as a kind of 'panic button'.
-
/Sonic it's the best secondary in the game. Enemies too tough? Not any more! Teammates too squishy? Not any more! Distressing lack of earthquakes? Not any more! Teammate recovering from a headache? Not any more!

I was pretty pleased when I got Overthrow on Union.
(PS: I think some people are missing the point of this thread entirely...)

I only just got my first 50 two days ago, give me a bit of time!
-
My only black/red toon is a Soldier of Arachnos, it's the only colour that really works on the uniform imo. (I shudder every time I see a bright pink/yellow/green one :I)

I like to fly around Atlas Park on my Empath and buff newbies as they street sweep.
I also help lowbie sewer teams on my Tank by taunting mobs and letting them pound on me while doing 0 damage. (this doesn't work any more since I slotted Perfect Zinger... killing people with taunts is so embarrassing)

Quote:"I can't solo him on my incredibly low-damage character with a team-oriented primary!I did beat him on some characters and lost on others. Unlike you, I tried it on a Force Field Defender. While I'm 100% positive someone is going to say "I did it on FF Defender with both hands tied behind my back while eating pizza and watching Dancing with the Stars" it's still not a sentiment we all need to hear.
What? Get a team for this team challenge? How dare the devs refuse to fuel my anti-social attitude in a massively multiplayer video game?!"

There is no such thing as true 3D in games or movies yet. Maybe sometime in the future. All we have is some fancy technology that tricks our eyes into thinking we are seeing 2D objects in a 3D fashion.
-
What you are seeing through a window is not on the window. It is a 3D scene that happens to have a transparent object in front of it.
What you are seeing through a monitor is on the monitor. It is a 2D scene displayed on a flat 2D plane that simulates the appearance of a 3D scene. -

Any kind of Sonic Resonance guy on my tank. Having capped resistances and squishier enemies is all kinds of fun.

I don't think the old warehouses have been replaced, by the way - I just ran five tip missions yesterday and they were all still in the old maps.

The Judgement slot, actually, and if you type [Ion Radial Final Judgement] or [Ion Core Final Judgement] in-game you can take a look at two top-tier ones for yourself!

I believe Time Bomb, like Trip Mine, isn't actually counted as an attack, which is how the 'toebomber' tactic works.

Quote:Unfortunately, I get the sense that the Party Pack and the new animations were done by the second string, since there's almost no verve to them and precious little (if any) originality. (I mean, really, Michael Jackson dance moves? Is the new animation team from WoW or something? Why duplicate something from that game instead of striking out in a new direction? Especially considering WoW has had the MJ dance emote for over 5 years now. If you're going to raid '80s dance moves, go for MC Hammer or Breakfast Club or *something* other MMOs don't do.)
The Party Pack animations were actually completed sometime in early 2007 and have been sitting around in the Paragon files for a while, hence the terrible quality. The booster packs just added a convenient way to earn some extra cash and implement them. -
DB/ is better on Scrappers and /DA is better on Scrappers because you don't have to worry about negating your fury generators with OG and CoF.
-
On a related note, that one Ouroborous intro arc where you have to destroy the meteor. It's so incredibly boring on my lower-damage characters...

A Nemesis Plot!
Suddenly, a buzzing resounds inside your head as knowledge pours into your brain! You realise you are actually a Nemesis Automaton.
Hero: For Lord Nemesis!
Villain: For Lord Nemesis!
Rogue: For Lord Nemesis!
Vigilante: For Lord Nemesis! -

3x Broadsword/Shield Scrappers. Your defense would be through the roof and you'd have nutty good burst damage.
-
Lemme explain. With the advent of Power Customisation we can make our powers look like anything we want - so how have you turned one powerset into something else?
For example, I have a scrapper called Goldwave who's meant to be a super-speeder. So you'd think he's MA/SR, right? Nope, Fire Melee.
"But Duncan!", I hear you cry, "Fire fists have nothing to do with superspeed!"
Wrong. He's punching the air so fast that the friction causes his fists to burst into flame and ignite bad guys.
So what weird ways have you used powers as something else, or strange excuses for powers on characters that shouldn't really have them? -
