Who here is proud to NOT have a black & red colored villain?

It's certainly not me since i have used black and red in the same villainous costume at least once.

Still, who here can proudly say they haven't done it?

I... actually have yet to use that color combo. I just kind of... subconsciously avoided it. I've combined black or red with other colors I'll admit....

Hm.

But are you proud of it?

I don't know.... It almost seems like I'm missing out.

Hm. I have to actually check... looks like I have three characters who have black and red costumes (out of 114 characters)... two are heroes, and the one villain is based on one of the heroes. (Setebos [Spines/Regen Scrapper]; Llecarud [Elec/Energy Blaster]; Big Sally [Thugs/Traps MM])

I also have a couple characters who are mostly black, with a hint of dark maroon, and those happen to both be villains. (Fire Banana [Fire/Traps Corr]; Bible Boy [Battle Axe/Shield Brute])

I have put some effort to not overdo it with stereotypically villainous costumes, but my main concern is just to make decent costumes.

Bah, blue, red, black, white, and brown are the only colours available in the costume creator. It's not my fault if I use them in everything.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

Do black and red have to be the primary two colors or does any black and any red in the same costume count?

If the former, then I have none, since my 3 villains are Black/White, Red/Silver and Purple/Black.

If the latter then I don't qualify sine the black/white villain has a red chest emblem.

However, regardless, since I had never given much thought to the issue of color combinations relative to what others wear, I can say that no, I am *not* proud of it.

Hm. I have used red quite a few times, but not black & red. Nevertheless, I would say yes, I am proud of spending hours making unique costumes that would not blend in with Standard-Issue Arachnos.

Captain Havana is olive & brown with maroon accents (and sweet shades, which I guess are black but don't really count). Annie Darkchild is red, magenta, and purple. The Penitent is red and metallic gold.

Warshades feel pretty dark, so I did go maroon & navy with black accents for him. He looks fairly villainous but certainly would stand out from all the Arachnos wannabes I see redside.

(Also I would love to see or hear more about Bible Boy if you have any links to his story, look, or playstyle!)

Dark purple, and various shades of green. You dont see enough purple in villainy, and green looks real good for an eyeglow effect.

Thats the main villain, ive got a couple others. Tried going for a copper/brass color with one, and I must admit I went with grey and maroon on another, depending on how much of a stickler you want to be that may qualify me as having used black and red...

But yeah, when I make a villain I go out of my way to avoid black and red. Its just too easy.

I tried to make a black and red villain, but they kept dissapearing in scenery.

I've got bluesiders who've used red and black.
I've got bluesiders who have not used red and black.
I've got redsiders who've used red and black.
I've got redsiders who have not used red and black.
I've got Praetorians who've used red and black.

I'm not "proud" or "ashamed" of any of it.
See a pattern here?

Hey! It's not our fault they took the good colors.

I tend to use black and red, black and purple, black and silver or black and blue quite a bit for both heroes and villains, so yeah, I have black and red villains. I am neither proud of the ones that aren't, or ashamed of the ones that are. It's just an aesthetic preference.

My only black/red toon is a Soldier of Arachnos, it's the only colour that really works on the uniform imo. (I shudder every time I see a bright pink/yellow/green one :I)

This is a really cool costume/concept, by the way!

I have no villains in red & black. I do have a MM in red & black but she started in Praetoria and went blue side.

I am swollen with pride. At least, I hope that's pride.

I don't play villains, but I'm proud to say that I do add the colors black and red to many of them. Blue too.

Almost all of my toons regardless of their morality use red. Some use black also, but I am pretty much incapable of using a colour that isn't red when making toons.

Dechs (the character) is a villain who is an avid card player, often referring to himself as "The Ace."

As such, red and black is a must.

Still proud of it.

Oh I knew this was basically a troll-bait thread. I thought I just respond to it by saying "the point of this thread is pointless" in my own vague way.

I have a Purple and Green toon, complete with a villain base to match

It was inspired originally by Kang the Conqueror from Marvel, but I have since improved on the look.
