Who here is proud to NOT have a black & red colored villain?
@Golden Girl
City of Heroes comics and artwork
Also, on the actual subject of the thread, my big redsider is Redcoat (No, he is not a British soldier.) and was kind of inspired by pulp characters like The Question and The Spirit, so it's a bit unavoidable.
Though a former villain of mine, a fallen Cherub, used grey and black with a steel mask. (Inspired by one of Fakir's outfits from Princess Tutu. Prior he also wore a white and red outfit inspired by Altair from Assassin's Creed. "Originality"? Nope, never heard of it.)
My corruptor uses black and blue. (He is an Ice/dark named Midnight Frosts)

Oh I knew this was basically a troll-bait thread. I thought I just respond to it by saying "the point of this thread is pointless" in my own vague way.

*You have posted a trollbait spoof thread. It's super defective!*
Thus far my expectations have been fairly well met.
*You have have captured a wild Beastyle.*
And a redname to boot.

When it comes to gender priorities, I think Recluse is very much focuesd on men - in all capacities.

Women, on the otherhand, wear highly reflective, tight, and form fitting outfits, and their waist cape seems to only highlight the swat of their hips. And given the extra junk he loads into the trunk of Tarantula mistresses...
Well, there are arbiters the highest ranks too, so maybe he's bi?
But Lord Recluse, I can say definitely, factoring all these things, loves whats in the back.

My Brute is rocking the red and black.
On the other hand, while my Arachnos Soldier, who's recently made a strong play for becoming my main, wore red and black in the early levels, he's since found the perfect outfit of gold armor with deep purple trim. And he looks good.
My Blaster, who does wear a black trenchcoat, wears it over a purple shirt.
Purple used properly is a manly color. Never forget, it's the color of royalty.
De minimis non curat Lex Luthor.

(Can't recall why offhand, but purple has also historically been associated with lesbianism, make of that what you will.)

I was gonna say I didn't have any villains who used red... Then I remembered Kestrel's fetishy red lightning and leather "Mu Babe" outfit.
So much for that.
@Brightfires - @Talisander
That chick what plays the bird-things...
All of my characters are gold, sometimes platinum, and rarely purple+pink in the case of bein pimpin'. Oh, and I have a mime, so there's one black and white.
As for pride, I'm @The Best, you tell me what my pride is like.
I am proud to admit that the only black-and-red characters I have are heroes.
Thank you, Champion.
I personally like a red/black combo, and Quatrain uses it. But I also only play heroes.
My 1st and highest level villain has worn all white from 1-45 with no plans to change. White hat, white trenchcoat, white pants and skin color as light as possible. He came from Hell and they don't have much color down there apparently...
His other costumes are Demon forms with the same outfit, sometimes torn.
my few other villains generally wear something that goes with their concept. But strangly enough that's never been Black and Red.
Now, quite a few of my Heroes are rocking that combo though...
Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard

My only Red and Black villain is a stalker with electric melee, made before powers were colourable. So black made sense because hes gotta hide in the shadows, and red made sense because that is what colour villain electric melee starts out as.
Once I make a character the costume rarely changes except for minor tweaking, unless I have plans for drastic costume changes or now alternate colour versions, but for the most part, changing a costume changes the character more than changing a name would for me, I rarely use anything other than costume slot 1, and wouldn't be tempted to change him now I could recolour the powers.
My redside characters:
Light grey/powder blue
Navy blue/gold
Purple/yellow (bright purple/yellow)
Not a speck of red or black among them.
I had a red and black villain once, but I must have gotten petitioned because I logged in to find that a GM changed it to generic grey.

Yes I am very proud. The only toon I had that was that such combination I moved over to hero side a long time ago. I have a Black/Red/Yellow/Grey villain, but it is more black and yellow, than black and red.
I mostly have green villains oddly enough. Although Doctor Lady, the world's most nefarious cross dresser, only wears pink.
He might have even delegated this task to Arbiter Fabulous than honestly bother with it himself. (His last attempt at making the uniforms himself... Well, check out the Arachnos of the 1960's. YEEESH!)
Of course, even he did design the uniforms, ever notice how Recluse himself tends more towards Silver and Purple, none of his generals wear black and red (Black Scorpion aside, though even he still looks more grey to me), and arbiters wear silver? He might use Red and Black as an easy way to know who's a disposable minion over a more valuable and skilled unit. (Also notice how PC VEATs can color their uniform any way they want and often do?)
