  1. Villain-side I always loved Black Scorpion's look. As if he could take on a tank on his own. Although I never cared for how limited his powers were compared to how capable his armor looked. Ghost Widow is also an instant favorite, for the reasons so many have already described.

Hero-side I've liked Malaise's psychedelic look, and I've always been a fan of Sister Psyche (I hope Manti dies just so she'll be single again.) Aside from that, most of the signature heroes felt too dull to me. Sure they have the classic hero looks, but nothing that really stood out.

Praetorian-side I absolutely looove the new Seige and Nightstar. What can I say, I'm a sucker for arm-cannons and arm-swords (though once again Seige could really use some missile shooting action or something). Battle Maiden also has a nice outfit, though I mostly like her axe she has on her back (Inferno always looked cool for the same reason).

Aside from them, when it comes to regular AVs or bosses, I've thoroughly enjoyed the Victorias (especially now that I have the costume), as well as the BMUs. The Malta group has always been a favorite of mine as well, what with the tactical gear, Sapper backpacks, and especially the Titans (in particular the Kronos). Speaking of mechs, the Longbow and Vanguard mechs are favorites of mine. I suppose you could call me a sucker for giant robots or mechanical suits. Funny since I dislike Gundams and the like.

Ah, I also have a great respect for The Clockwork King for all of his brain-in-a-jar action, the Reichsman for being the Nazi we all love to beat (I want that hat), and lastly the Nemesis army for their brass steampunkness and for wearing buckets on their head (I DEMAND BUCKETS!).

In general, I say you can never go wrong with adding more machines, cyborgs, androids, robots, and everything in between. And for costume parts, I think we could use more parts that are highly reflective. I find myself wearing the Vicky costume all the time now just because of how reflective it is compared to the parts we have available.
  2. Hands down: Vomit/detoggling. Not that newer aggressive-toggle-only detoggling. No, The Great Equalizer detoggling. The Best way to drop a snooty granite using a MM or corr. BEWARE THE VOMIT!!!

In all seriousness though, it was a feature that, while only 2 powers had it, it could instantly level the playing field, should any groups *cough*Heroes*cough* gang up on a minority *cough*Villains*cough*cough*. "Oh noes, there's a granite, 3 blasters, 3 scrappers, 1 healer, and a troller camping next to the villain base under a bubble... oh wait.. <Gas Trap> ktheyredead."
  3. I like that as a MM and The Best, I can still dominate anyone easily. I also like travel suppression in PvP zones. It became annoying when I'd have people who just shoot once then run around for 2 min, shoot again, and continue running around. Especially for MMs who don't have the capability to run around anywhere safely, being able to hold a person down on the ground, even if only for a few seconds, is generally enough to make a major hit.
  4. All of my characters are gold, sometimes platinum, and rarely purple+pink in the case of bein pimpin'. Oh, and I have a mime, so there's one black and white.

As for pride, I'm @The Best, you tell me what my pride is like.
  5. As someone who is consistently amazing, I'm quite happy with PvP as it is. Granted, there are less opportunities to experience it, since everyone else is so disappointed with it.

When it comes to goo memories though, aside from taking down 5-6 people singlehandedly in RV by controlling my pets, a heavy, and turrets effectively, I'd have to think back to the old days in SC.

Ahh good times. Back when heroes would mob up and clutter in one massive group, wiping out every villain that strolled by, then eventually making it over to the villain base and camping anywhere they could. There was nothing better than charging in the middle of the group, dropping a gas trap, watching everyone vomit and detoggle, then be quickly whittled down to nothing by two other villains who had good timing.

The experience as the underdog, with a situation looking impossible, but finding a way to pull out a nasty trick to take the win and reverse the situation, ahhh it's The Best! Likewise, The Best thing about PvP is the human element. You can't troll NPCs into breaking away from the pack and trying to take you down. A player's effectiveness is only as good as his mindset going into a situation. Put a person into an adrenaline-rushed state where they have one objective on their mind and no strategy, and you have a great fight waiting!

That all said, if I had to suggest methods for improving the system, or ways to provide incentive to PvP, hmm... First idea that comes to mind: Try making the zone itself more dangerous. Add in the PvE perspective. Such as having a zone where just being out in the open warrants a danger from an attack from an ememy group. I could visualize a tank being targetted from random enemy attacks more often, while a stalker or controller, who would be either difficult to find or a "low priority" to an enemy group being left alone more. This way, any benefits one AT would have over another in a pure PvP fight would be challenged by having to endure PvE attacks AS WELL AS player attacks. A way you could implement it would be having a zone where some "stronger ATs are more frequently attacked by random ambushes, while the other "weaker" ATs wouldn't be targetted so much.

You could even have just being out in the open as a rsik to being attacked by an air assault, satellite cannon, or something. This would all stack on to make an environment where players don't have time to gang up or make complex strategies to overnumber/overpower someone. Just as well, it would work to equal the playing field by giving stronger players more enemies to fight to balance out their advantage, and giving weaker players slack and freedom to have more of a chance against others.

And if I had to pick an ideal enemy group to be involved with this, I'd have to choose Malta. If not Malta, perhaps the same ideas above could be used well with Soldiers of Rularuu, since most ATs don't have ease holding them off as well as other groups.
  6. I got Winner about a year ago. I checked and Loser was taken though.
  7. Hmmm, evolved Hamidon... tentacles in the forest... tentacles in future Ouroboros... Nemesis is Ouroboros leader... Coming storm... Shivans... Notes sent to you throughout time to put you against Ouroboros...

I GOT IT!!! Hamidon VS. Nemesis! Future Hamidon is/is greatly related to the Coming Storm! An alternate version of Dr. Hamidon Pasalima is the mysterious note-sender, working to stop his other more gooey/tentacley forms and Nemesis at the same time! Likewise, Shivans are gooey too, and so possibly related to Hamidon!

It's Dr. Pasalima, in Ouroboros, with the candlestick!
    Everything is a Hamidon plot!
  8. The Best will tag along for Augustine if possible. I certainly have no hidden agendas or anything suspicious like that.
  9. Can we just switch to regular lotteries or drawings?

Might help avoid the 4 hours of wasted time and 10x feelings of defeat for most. Not to mention the fact that ya gotta use unconventional tactics to win.
  10. Multiple windows, the first 3 parts and the first letter of the next part were the same most of the time, and the magic of refreshing like clockwork.
  11. Booyaaaa!!! 5 hours of my life gone, but whatever, i saved $10!!!
    Byaaaaa!!!
  12. Whatever happened to that CoH themed movie rumored about however many years ago.

I imagine a movie based on the lore would amazing advertising so long as it didn't suck. Besides, aren't superhero movies all the rage right now?

Thinking smaller, what about advertising in movies. How about a trailer before one of those new hero movies? I'd wet myself if I saw a CoH ad as a trailer at the beginning of that Deadpool movie that's never going to come out.
  13. The Shadow Raiders on Victory are still around with a couple of the founders, and we formed at CoV launch.
Still in the top 20 iirc too, aww yeeah.
  14. This reminds me of when arena first came out.

Fun fact: The reflections on the floor of the arena aren't really reflections, but an upside down arena under the floor.

There should also be one of those matrix rooms under the other arenas.

    Good times.. Good times...
  15. Mike Apolis needs to clean his room! And quit singing Moon River!!!

It would certainly qualify as an Easter Egg. I could be just be digging too much though.

[/ QUOTE ]No, it would qualify as a badge

I'm not saying the urn is the egg, I know its part of a badge. I'm wondering why such a random picture was depicted on the urn. 5 men bowing under the sun is pretty simple and expected for some ancient artifact, but bowing to a tree?

Considering Cimerora has an unmoving sun, and that there's not too many trees to say that it would be impossible, perhaps one of the trees closest to the sun or highest up may have a reaction when 5 people use an emote like bow or praise to it. I wouldn't consider it impossible. So either that urn's description has something to it, or some dev is quite good at being random in thinking people praising a tree is a believable picture that would be found on an ancient urn.

(Necro thread FTW, the info here is priceless! It shalt live again!!!)
  17. I may be onto another Easter Egg. In the Midnighter's club, there are many clickable objects with pop-up histories to various topics. One of these is a clickable vase from Cimerora said to have a picture of 5 men bowing to a tree with the sun upon them.

Me thinks this image is a bit odd, and that considering the sun in Cimerora doesn't move, that perhaps something happens when either someone or 5 people do either a bow or praise emote around a tree that has something to do with the sun, perhaps being closest the to sun in the west. It would certainly qualify as an Easter Egg. I could be just be digging too much though.
  18. Why do heroes get a brand new lounge room and villains still just have the Secret Dev Room in Grandville, which by the way, has been trashed by arachnoids!!
  19. It seems that along with the latest patch some Arachnoids found the Secret Dev Room and tore it up, they couldnt get rid of Moon River though!

  20. I had asked Ghost Widow about what type of things Mike had hidden and where and she said "The ways of the Mapolis are a mystery" or something like that. We might have to get rough to get some answers out of him.
  21. A coalition buddy also found a small underwater area, probably to show us what to expect in an underwater zone. I dont remember exact location but its around the west wall on the beach, its a small pool surrounded by some rocks, you jump in the water and you fall through some and see a lvl 15ish coralax doing an emote.
  22. The Arachnos Flier makes then when it fights along with the banes, but besides that they only spawn in that one spot in the tunnels. If you see them, dont take them on, they self destruct before you can take them out.
  23. I guess il help

If you enter the tunnels from the entrance in the Fab and go south look for the entrance in the corner of a right turn. If you hit the area where you choose to go to the beach access or the core you've gone too far. Make sure to have you sound fx on so you can hear the whipping and explosive diarrhea.

And if anyone can figure out what song is being sung in the men's room plz say, i cant make it out.
  24. I found the room as well, but i dont wanna give the locaton either, it more fun when you find it on your own.
  25. ... I saw an area of the tunnels when i was under the zone... but i just thought it was a dead end like the others...
