What names were you suprised you got?

I'm not too surprised that I got Electrofyte for my SS/ElA Brute, but it's such a perfect name that it seems like it should have been done before.
What I am shocked that I got, and will hang onto until the game dies, is Fabulass. Right now she's a Invuln/Kinetic tanker, but I don't feel that I've found the right niche for her yet. But right now I'm of the opinion that there is no better superheroine name out there than that.

I was pretty surprised to see that "Black Mold" was available.

I was genuinely shocked I managed to snag the name "Sidesplitter" for a WP/Axe tank on Freedom. Also, I managed to get Holly Woodenvine for a Plant/Thorns Dom.

Doctor Carnage - Lots of other "Doctor <Calamity>" type names were taken (including Doctor Calamity), but not Doctor Carnage.

Well, playing almost exclusively on virtue, I'm surprised I could still snag a mythical name like Pallas.
Other names I can't believe I could snag so late in the game's life:
Jaguar Man
Ghostwolf
Sunlancer
Bodhisattva
Daystar
Serpent King
It seems if you fuse the words together (i.e. Ghostwolf instead of Ghost Wolf) you have a much better chance of finding a good name.

All my characters are on Virtue as well.
I've actually been surprised, as a returning player and working my way through the new GR content I've managed to get a few really cool names like [CENSORED] and [BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP], which I thought would have been taken for sure.

On Virtue...
Critical Spark and Paragon's Finest are the only two I was really surprised I was able to get. Paragon's Finest was a couple years ago, but Critical Spark was just last year. I figured with all the electric based heroes, all "Spark" related names would be gone.
What I always find far more annoying is names that are taken. Names of stars that are twenty pages into a Google search or genus/species names of insects you've never heard of before. When trying to find a spider-like name, I learned more spider facts, breeds, and types than I ever wanted to know...

The one I was surprised to get was "Chrononaut".
Within a week after the Issue (can't remember the issue number off the top of my head) that brought us Ourboros (sp?) went live, and I found my first Chrononaut badge, I thought, "damn that'd be a cool character name...", and as such, did a name search and ta-da - "Chrononaut" was available!
After fidgiting with the idea for this character, I figured it would be interesting to have the same looking/same powerset character on each server as a dimensional/time (server) hopper; out of the 11 servers, I was able to garner 6 straight-up "Chrononaut" names.
Five of the servers already had the name taken, and although I still search to this day to do a name trade etc to try to get that coveted "Chrononaut" character name on each and every server, I instead used naming conventions like "Chrononaut." or "Chrononauts" for the interim for those five.
Again, I was very surprised to get that name.
Hm...names that surprised me:
"Dr. Scourge"
"Cremator"
"Watchman"
"Captain Nimbus"
"The Red Guard"
I usually don't try the more obvious names, but the above did come up.
On Infinity: Musician.
Perfect for my Sonic/Sonic, and just unbelievable it was not taken.

Was pleased to find "Cattleguard" and "Cattle Guard" free on Virtue in the run-up to the animal pack release.
Went with the single-word version for my bovine tanker concept.

Dr. Dusk - level 50 mercenaries/dark miasma mastermind

I was surprised to get both Insurance Broker and Khan on my second account. But I don't play on a particularly populous server.
Wash: "I've been under fire before. Well ... I've been in a fire. Actually, I was fired. I can handle myself."
Griffon Knight, a BS/Shield scrapper, and
Prospering Cheetah, a MA/Dark scrapper. May make him stalker instead.
Griffon is an appropriate spelling for the mystical bird/lion creature.

I was astonished when I got "Major League" for my baseball bat wielding tanker.
I was also fairly recently surprised to get "Kenny Tech" for my kinetic melee toon.
205723: A Different DESTINY
When Soldiers of Arachnos got their names added to the Destiny List, Longbow managed to get a copy of the list and began rounding villains up. But one name on the list shocked them...
the game has been going on for 7 years now, so naturally all the "cool" names would be gone, but what surprises me are the ones still available, and being a new player it makes me happy
here are mine: 3D Girl - Illusion/Sonic controller Gargantuanne - SS/Inv Tanker all of 7' in height PrimeRib - BS/SD scrapper, minotaur of course... and my most recent, a plant/earth assault dominator called Dirty Hoe
