I run COH on Ubuntu using Wine for about 3 years.
I'm in dual boot and it doesn't slow down computer.

The problem that you may encounter is with wideo driver versus COH. For example, I have an Nvidia with the latest drivers (now Nvidia produce native linux drivers) but COH don't recognize them and disable the advance graphic mode.

Like Carnifax said, the best will be to try some distros (Ubuntu, Mint, Mandriva, etc...) and choose the one that suites you well.

For the moment, I'm working on cards and money (influence). For player pieces, I was thinking of painting sculptry as my Heroes and the ones of my Wife (since is probably the both of us that will mainly play it) but will surely do a set with Freedom Phalanx as well.
There is no scientific rule I used to place the city zones in that order, I simply used the feeling I get when I go to these zones (it would probably be in different order for each person)

Yes I plan to do a City of villain one but as you said, there are fewer zones making it a bit tricky.

A while ago, I saw a thread about a COH version of the boardgame Monopoly.
I then decide to make a version of it.

For the city zones, keep in mind that it's about Paragon city, not the rogue Isles. The reason why there is Siren's call (technically attached to Paragon city) and not the other PVP zones (RV being Atlas park).

Just to clarify the Nemesis notion.

In my point of view, a nemesis is an arch-enemy that you will encounter often and is a big match for you (ex, X-men vs Magneto). It's an enemy you've been fighting for ages.

For me, it is different than a copy of ourselves (or praetorian version).
I then believe that it is possible to see a version of our hero from Praetoria.

But I may be wrong.

If there were no heroes... the new good side would be the "less" villains... who are not agree with the pure evil. So this way, for any civilians, Those "less" villains will be heroes!

I play COH on Ubuntu as well and use wine. Yes, the costume bug is still there, but only for Nvidia graphic cards. There's a way to fix the problem by adding an option in your launcher path (see wine website for details)

For performances, it's even better on linux than on windows since it's an old computer.

I's say that wine is doing the job well. No need for Cedega

I play COX since I2 was launch and have 1 toon... yes 1!!!
I play on a regular basis with my wife. During this time wife got 3 alts to 50 meaning I got 3 times to 50 as well, but with only 1 alt... and never get tired of him.

I hear that many are altaholic... but I cannot be like them. But I tried... so hard... got 3 other alts to 14 (the kick to get travel power) and then, leave them away to get back with good old alt. I want to see everything with him... And when I'm almost done, new content comes out. I'm then in the obligation to keep playing him.

I'm I alone?
