Single alt lover

Hi everyone,
I play COX since I2 was launch and have 1 toon... yes 1!!!
I play on a regular basis with my wife. During this time wife got 3 alts to 50 meaning I got 3 times to 50 as well, but with only 1 alt... and never get tired of him.

I hear that many are altaholic... but I cannot be like them. But I tried... so hard... got 3 other alts to 14 (the kick to get travel power) and then, leave them away to get back with good old alt. I want to see everything with him... And when I'm almost done, new content comes out. I'm then in the obligation to keep playing him.

I'm I alone?

He's not really an alt if he's the only character you use regularly. That would be a Main. I play my alts a fair amount, but I do usually end up playing my mains more then my other characters. Even though they're both level 50 (A tanker and a Mastermind). But then I still haven't explored all the content and I never had a 50 prior to last year even though I've played on and off since launch.

I've had two lvl 50's in 40+ months. Picking alts for me is torture. I can never keep a good concept.

I believe the official term for "having only one character" is "mainomania".

I've only ever had one avatar too - my digital double - but with more superpowers than I have in RL

hehe, well, i have heard of a few single character people, but i am not one of them, i understand that soemtimes you can heavily identify with your character, and that soemtimes causes it, but as a guy with over 60 characters, i can only be impressed with your resolve

i will say one thing that you may want to try, since you have had one character over 14 since i2, have you gotten to try out faultline, croatoa, and striga? i know one issue i had with my main, rian, is that he had out leveled all that content before it came out, and until oroboros hit, there was no way to do it with him. now with yoru wife, you may have exemplared it, but that is one thing that got me with my main. plus, good lord man, have you tried city of villains yet? you have it, they gave it away free if nothing else, remake your main there at least and give it a go. There are fun things there that you wont have had with a i2 character(and thus, a hero, since reds werent available in i2)

one toon ugh..

i remember when most of us in isss 2 only had one toon...hell i didnt know i could make a toon until i hit 50 the first time.

heh looking for a healer or rad at that time was pain staking.

now at over 20 something lvl 50s..im glad i can change out to whatever my team needs

i feel bad for the op and his one toon..however i do know the love for his first lvl 50..mine was a fire tank...and hes played more then any toon i got by 1000000 folds easily

Just recently got the 24 month Vet badge and just in the last few month have I started playing some alts, but I'm still on my main mostly.

Hehe, the other day I told my leveling partner we were going to need to pick an alt server soon, as I was running out of characters I wanted to delete on Liberty. My alt-itis is severe and ongoing. They tried shock therapy once, but all that did was give me an idea for another alt.
