Umm.. shouldn't 'Ajax' be unavailable? Isn't he a character in the game lore?
I ask because I just snagged it. -
I managed to get:
Night Wasp
Redstar
Wolf Man
Bison
Crone
Time Maven
Panamerican
Red Knight
Golden Eagle
Silver Guard
Megalith
Moxie
Bodhisattva
Crimson Spirit
I missed out on Athena, I've always wanted it for my main currently on Virtue, but I'm happy with what I got. I'll probably release most of these since I don't plan on playing so many new characters on one server. -
I thought it was just me.
I've actually stopped playing the game these last two days thinking my ISP was having some problems that would just blow over in a week. -
So, how does it work? Do you become part of the mish owner's team or is it like a second team is created within the mission?
-
Dr. Q!
Barring that, maybe Hess or Moonfire. Those two were always fun. -
I have a Bots/Poison MM that has all of the poison powers shaded to different tones of grey in order to simulate nanites.
My Dark/Rad defender is supposed to be one of the Nuclear 90 and has his dark powers set to different colors to suggest the use of many different types of particles and energies. Who says all radiation has to be bright? -

Its repeating the same 2 misisons ad infinitum
I only do the trials once or twice every time I play. I don't even have the luxury of playing them on different characters since I only have one level 50. Guess what, I don't burn out. You know why? Because I'm not crazy enough to repeat ad naseum something which I don't enjoy doing. -
Pallas, on Virtue. I feel I really got lucky with that name. It doesn't have any commas or points to cheat to get it. I think most people don't know what it refers to or what the origin of the name is but I love it.

Quote:Ugh, yes. It boggles the mind how the only way to justify the trials was adding a new mysterious character to tell us what to do, as if we don't already have enough of those standing around with their arms crossed.Originally Posted by VentureHe's a ham-handed plot device invented because no one over there could think of a better way to get us into these encounters other than having a walking deus ex machina say "go. hunt. kill praets."
I mean couldn't they have had Lady Grey organize the trials as part of the counter-offensive in the war? We had to have a giant smurf descend from Olympus to guide us on our way?
Hell, they could even had us organize the trials, as if our characters decided on their own volition to organize themselves into several teams and go over to the other side to take on the praetorians; I mean, we even just appear outside Lambda and the BAFT, no group drops us off. the voice-over could just have been the omnipresent narrator. -

However, I do agree with your post entirely.
I find Judgement to be somehow even harder to fit into ma character's concept than Lore. I can force myself to hand-wave away that a robot or praetorian soldier somehow appears out of thin air to follow me around, but I just can't explain myself why - to use some examples from my alt list - a gun-toting psychic would fire ice or fire blasts from her hands or why a katana-wielding vigilante would shoot a ricocheting bolt of whatever.
There needs to be more variety in Judgment, more so than in Lore. At least one more power to represent sheer strength and another one that uses a weapon animation or something, anything to make it more palatable for natural characters and such. -

If you can offer me some advice on how to put together a 12-man BAF other than "go form a pre-made" when it seems like everybody else wants to run full leagues, then please, I'd love to hear it.
You don't have to agree with anybody who likes what you don't and they don't have to agree with you. People that hate the incarnates, the endgame content and/or the raids keep pussyfooting around trying to do logical somersaults to avoid the harsh, simple but obvious answer: If you don't like it, don't do it. There's your advice.

Quote:Are you honestly trying to make us believe that +4 ITFs don't happen? At least half of all the ITFs I've ever done were +4 and they were all on PUGs. And they all had faceplanting, and each had moments of awesome and they all took more than half an hour and they were glorious.Originally Posted by Eva DestructionBut one day I will find at least five people to do a +4 ITF with me, and there will be faceplanting, and there will be moments of awesome, and it will take way more than half an hour and it will be glorious.
Let me ask something to the anti-multi-group crowd. Have you done any of the new trials? And spare me the 'I don't need to jump off the roof to know I won't like it!' BS, grow a pair and answer the question. -
It's not just money.
It's money, favors, actual influence, loot, confiscated items, fame and anything else your character can use to get ahead in his career and use to acquire whatever it needs. -
Yes and no. I have noticed that content under level 25 seems abandoned by players. It used to be that you could see a Synapse TF being put together at least once a night and now never. Even sewer teams are not as plentiful as before, but still pretty common.
But once you reach level 25 everything seems as before. TFs, trials and radio teams are as common as always.
My suggestion to you is to form a team to go on low level content. I was getting tired of not being able to do a Synapse or a Posi 1 so I decided to start one for the hell of it and to my surprise, a got alot of tells from people saying they wanted in. People still want to do that content but since few people start them it just seems like there is no interest. -
Oh did they? Still it seems rather odd that a pre-download hasn't happened. Especially since this issue does have some new art. Not much- just the map with the derelict ships - but usually enough to justify a pre.

Well I'm glad you're not all taking my dislike for the Halloween event personally.
I understand that the devs would want to make up for a downtime. What I don't like is that they use their most intrusive, overused event to make up for it.
Like others have said, an impromptu double-xp weekend would have been a better choice and would even make sense with the new issue, since most og its focus is endgame content.
Even a repeat of the Valentine's Day event would have been better. CoX Halloween is too overdone, especially since half of the event actually keeps occurring on normal days in the form of the zombie hordes and deadly apocalypses that keep going on for no reason and that frankly break the immersion of the game. -
Quote:Like they've already said, the full issue is on the beta server. Also, I doubt they're keeping some surprises like free costumes hidden until the issue goes live.Originally Posted by Xzero45All I'm saying is wait 'til the issue itself comes out before you start raging.
If they were planning on giving us free costumes or anything else people have been clamoring for months they would be singing it to the four winds. 'By popular demand! 3 new tights skins! New power customization!' That's hype that you just can't walk away from. -
I doubt it will be tomorrow, there's usually a pre-download or a downtime announcement, but I bet it will be the following Tuesday.
It's not far off though. They've had the overview up for weeks now, same with the Coming Soon sign on the frontpage of the website. -
Man, I only got one, an Inv/Dual Blades tanker.
I suppose I could have it exemplar my 7 highest alts. -
Quote:This is pretty much my thought on the subject as well. At the very least they should include some extra tights patterns, faces or generic chest symbols to the Issues. It's not like people are asking for the moon and the stars when it comes to costume choices.Originally Posted by Bad_InfluenceI have no problem with boosters. My problem is with ***NO*** new costume sets included with a new issue, that we did not pay for. I understand the need for new revenue streams, but throw us a bone every now and then. Some of us have been here for 5+ years. We've sunk a lot of money into this game - including boosters. Must we have to shell out for EVERYTHING?
-
Not from what I saw tonight. The only chatter on the globals concerning Halloween were mostly complaints about the lack of street mobs because of the Deadly Apocalypses. The few folks engaged in doing Halloween stuff where also complaining: about the lack of ToT groups.
At least they recycled Manticore this week and not Numina. -
So basically they are saying 'This is what you get for hassling us about the server downtimes'?
And I thought the devs were push-overs. -
Why the frak is it Halloween this time?
Is there some sort of moronic 'Halloween in Spring!' meme going around back in the States like the tired-old 'Christmas in July' idea?
At least tell me it wont go on for a whole month like all the other events do in this game. -

You know, after all those OPs of yours praising the game I just kind of knew you were bound to post some insanity.
