Proliferation - What do you want to see?

Just interested in what people want to see proliferated. As a scrapper fan would love to see War Mace, Battle Axe, Stone Melee, Super Strength and Energy Melee proliferated.

There must be other sets out there that people want on different ATs, lets see your thoughts!

Axe, War mace, Ice Melee, Fiery Melee, Stone Melee, and Super strength (<--cause it would be funny) for Stalker primaries.

Ice Armor, Fiery Aura, invuln, and Shield Defense for stalker secondaries.

too much to ask? I thought so too, lol.

I have a list here from the last time I was making predictions. These aren't necessarily "what I'd like to see;" rather, they're "what I think may happen":

Blasters: Dark Blast/Darkness Manipulation (unlikely to happen without being heavily modified, especially due to Blaster Soul Mastery containing two of the powers that would be in Dark Blast anyways, but it's the last blast set that Blasters don't have)

Controllers: -/Traps

Defenders: Thermal Radiation/Fire Blast (not sure why they got AR and Traps last round anyways...)

Scrappers: Energy Melee/Energy Aura

Tankers: -/Broadsword

Brutes: Spines/-

Corruptors: Psi Blast/Poison (or FF)

Dominators: Dark Illusion/Dark Assault

Stalkers: Fiery Melee/Fiery Aura

Masterminds: -/Cold (or Sonic)

Rework the weapon sets - War Mace, Battle Axe and Broadsword - so that they're no longer nearly identical, then give them to Scrappers.

The combination of I18's fury mechanics change and I19 making Stamina an inherent simultaneously kills (or at least seriously hurts) the justifications the devs had been using for not giving either Ice powerset or Regen to Brutes. Wondering if those will be revisited now.

While there's a lot I'd like, my single most wanted would be Ice Melee (and thus probably Ice armour though I have less interest in that) for Scrappers. While with things like Mace, SS or Energy, I can still play an "offensive" character by rolling a brute, there's no way to make a Ice meleer who's focus is on killing stuff.

Hmm. My general answer for every AT would be 'every apropriate set they don't already have', but if you're asking what *first*, this is how I would answer:

Tanks: Katana or BS, ninjitsu or SR.

Controllers: Traps and dark miasma

Defenders: Thermal and fire blast

Scrappers: Stone melee and ninjitsu (of course wouldn't happen in the same wave due to thematics, but would be nice)

Dominators: Illusion control and some sort of MA or throwing weapon or blade themed 'natural assault' set

Blasters/brutes/MMs/stalkers/corruptors: no personal preference, either none of the remaining possible proliferations interest me, or I don't care for the AT.

Brutes should have Broadsword.. already....

Super Strength and /Ninjitsu for Scrappers. Yeah, I know and even understand the reasons why not, doesn't change me from wanting them.

/dark for controllers is about the only thing i REALLY want to see proliferated. Waiting for it for years now. Illusion for dominators would be great too.

My bet is that if we see them in the next 2 issues or so, it'll be limited to just one set per AT. Castle's team is probably being put hammer and tongs to the Incarnate stuff, and is going to have pretty limited time otherwise.

Blasters: The easy answer is Dark Blast. However, my odds are actually on a secondary - 10 primaries versus 6 secondaries suggest it would be a higher priority. In which case, we may actually see a tweaked Trick Arrow. It's easiest to adapt and would thematically mesh with an existing set. Dark Blast would beg for a Dark Manip that Castle probably just doesn't have time for right now.

Brutes: Regen. Ice/Ice is a nice thought, but they won't port one without the other.

Controllers: Traps. Dark Miasma is just not gonna happen - my money's on it being held back to become the base elements of Dark Control.

Corruptors: Forcefields. I mean, come on. Why isn't it there already?

Defenders: Not a lot to work with here. Just Thermal and Fire Blast. It's possible they won't get one at all (100 possible combinations already!).

Dominators: Illusion. Freakin' finally.

Masterminds: My cards would be on Sonic Resonance. It's a simple port and a good fit.

Scrappers: Ninjitsu is my guess. Alter Hide into a more standard stealth power, and you're set.

Stalkers: Invulnerability. With the tech in place to not have aura powers breaking hide, there's no reason why not. And if I can be hidden from sight by electricity, there's no reason why being bulletproof wouldn't also make me invisible!

Tankers: Energy Aura. Because the devs hate tanks.

I was thinking about this and I think that now with Side Switching, we may need more ways to differentiate the ATs so I wonder if more proliferation is such a good idea. They have been juggling the numbers to try to help make distinctions and I think having some sets that are exclusive for that AT may be a good idea.

I don't think the ATs care about uniqueness. They are a collection of attributes, not players or their avatars. More proliferation creates more opportunities for characters to be unique. Which should be the goal.

apart from creating an illusion of "additional content" with each round of proliferation theres no reason not to.

Infact the whole time a set isnt proliferated to something I want, I just get a little bit more of a feeling like they are witholding content from me.

Been wanting Poison for Defenders since CoV was first released.

I think it would "fit" better with Corruptors, but I'd rather play it as a primary.
