Now you're being silly. You're aloud to be displeased , nobody is saying you can't. Just, complaining about getting free things? Its something, would you rather have nothing ?

Off-topic of the fitness thing for a moment. Someone needs to ask the most important question:

ARE THERE ANY NEW COSTUMES IN i19?

I will be very interested to see how inherent Stamina will affect endurance costs for future power sets

Yes, for the past few things. :P I only go on the forums when I'm toed-up, so... I'm done for now. This upsets me a bit, and I may leave because of it.

My comments may have been over the top. I13 - this may have caused my un-enjoyment. I do wish the game the best of luck though.

I predict some kind of unification to lead the game into a centralized "world." Something to get everyone playing all in the same place, instead of split between paragon, rogue and preatoria.

Issue 20 having a concurrent beta with I19 development?

It's gotta be a separate entity.
I think you're right (as others have said as well). I'm surprised that i20 will be in CB next week AND requires a hand-signed NDA....how will that work? Hmm...Very interesting....maybe it is CoH 2.0 heh....hmmm

oh and Fitness powers as inherent?

YES PLEASE!

As others have said...I'll say again, I HATE picking 'boring' powers like Swift/Hurdle/Health/Stamina at the req. levels..."hooray I got to lvl 8...oh...time for Swift.......>_<".

Yeah that's one of the reasons my best friend hated low levels (most of his characters) since he never took Stamina/Fitness because the powers were 'boring' and he wanted, you know, an actual power to do stuff with....but then he'd 'complain' (not complain but ya know ) about having endurance issues while fighting/etc....

Really can't wait!

P.S. Is my NDA in the mail devs?

Theyr'e safely contained - it's only when the scale reaches 11 that they're dangerous

I have a hard time believing that.

But does prove the point that any change will upset someone.

If that is Apex in the picture, and he's wearing Vanguard armor, maybe that means the new TF will involve Praetoria, as the Vanguard are leading the way to bring down the dictatorship?
That'd mean it'd be a co-op TF, and it'd also match up with Praetoria being opened up to Primal Earth people - and the alpha strike could refer either to what we're doing in Praetoria, or the first attack of Tyrant's invasion.

EDIT: Of course, it could also have nothing to do with Praetoria, and the alpha strike could refer to some possible first wave of the Coming Storm

If only this was the one factor that upset me. Not 6 issues in a row.

Then can I guestimate that the Alpha Slot is going to be Rikti related?

No, it's your fault for repeatedly alleging that anyone who didn't agree with you was stupid, incompetent and didn't see the horrible issues with making Fitness inherent. Horrible issues that you then failed completely to articulate. And yes, when saying a game mechanic change is a bad thing, it really does help to give some numbers to support your opinion.

You're welcome to your opinion, but that doesn't mean everyone is required to say nothing when your entire argument supporting it was basically that everyone else is dumb.

Personally i'm intrigued by the implications of this change, but i won't be sure that it's totally good from a game balance perspective until i know more about the details of the change and how it works out in actual practice.

Never said anyone who didn't agree with me was stupid :P Just that there are stupid people out there. I hope you get your #'s or such. Also hope this new game mechanic benefits you.

Your opinion is no more the result of simple dev hate than everyone's approval is the result of dev love. You're not sticking to the change, but rather the people (lrn2ply?) that like it.

Even if it's in jest, it's what constitutes the majority of your complaint.

If i20 is City 2.0 I'm betting it will be an in situ upgrade as opposed to a totally new product. Sequels to MMOs don't have good track records.

As for Fitness going inherent, I saw that or something like it coming. One of CO's advantages in gameplay is vastly reduced downtime. Giving everyone Fitness, which they can then choose to enhance by taking sets with their own heals and recovery boosts, is a big help there. Actually my #1 choice would have been giving Rest a zero recharge, but this is good too. As far as this dumbing down the game, please.

The more I think about the Fitness change, the more I'm starting to like it.

I like to min/max my builds and potentially having three extra powers will be nice. Even if I can't slot them, I'm sure I can find a use for them as IO mules at the least. For example, I could take the stealth pool on my new Spines/Fire Scrapper and stick three Luck of the Gambler Recharge IOs in there(not saying I will, just a possibility).

My buddy has a DM/Inv Scrapper extremely high end that has tanked Lord Recluse and soloed the ITF(master run), without Stamina. Now he won't have to rely on blue insp so much and may be able to drop Dark Consumption all together!

I'd rather they made the first travel power pool pick available when you make your avatar, and then get the 2nd pick at level 6 - which is anbout the time when you're ready to move out of the starting zone and into the wider city - so it'd make a lot of sense, I think.
Plus, being able to take the first pick when making your avatar would also make sense, as the way you travel is a very important part of the overall superhero idea - like we can pick our two main power sets, our costume, our power colors, and our name, but the travel part has to wait, which is kinda weird.

I guess I'll weigh in on the whole fitness thing, too.

I've got almost 5 years of paid time on my account. In that time I have almost never... ever... EVER seen a character that was being played by a knowledgeable person that wasn't using Stamina. Of the ones I did see, they were regens or willpower users or people with really good end recovery powers such as elec armor or kin.

I'll just make up a statistic here and say that 95% of every level 50 player in this game probably has stamina. It's reasonable for the devs to figure if practically every player in the game is gonna take this power pool, they might as well just give it to everyone. They either realized that their game design had practically mandated Stamina for the majority of builds you can make, or their game design led the vast majority of players into wanting it, because they had more fun playing at a faster and more consistent pace than would have been capable without it.

On a side note, I get the personal satisfaction of being on the right side of another long debated issue that forum snobs always shot down others for suggesting/vehemently denied would ever happen. (Things such as increasing the trade limit even before the markets necessitated it.)

I wonder how the Fitness pool will be added? Like will we still unlock them at the same levels the powers are available now, or will they all be there right at the start for someone making a new avatar?

I already use all 4 Fitness powers, so this is going to open up an extra pool for me - so i think I'll be doing my first respec since Sands of Mu was added as a vet reward, which meant I didn't need to have Flurry anymore to get that punching animation
