The Devs suck..
The Devs dont listen...
The Devs dont care...
oh wait....
YAY DEVS !!!!
No, they're not. They're great big buildings in four parts of the city where superhumans go to sell and buy things that make them more powerful. The idea that they're some kind of abstraction does not pass the smell test. If the market wasn't supposed to be concrete then it shouldn't have been implemented in this fashion.

I Like this alot thx for giving us trade for both side, the Derv are great.
I know. I won't. I'll get what I want with merits; my drops will be thrown out, vendored or shipped to characters on the same side that can use them.

yay....thank you... awesome sauce indeed
I've always RPd WW as a black market trading house. Really? You have nuclear launch codes for sale? Organs and blood? Weapons?
I think the fallacy is expecting everyone else to RP things the exact same way that I/you do. Venture, you're free to continue RPing however you like...but the fact that this benefits all of my characters on both sides from both a mechanical AND roleplay standpoint is just...well, it's great for me.
I hope things work out for you.
As a player of more than a couple of blueside alts who are less than heroic, I want to thank Venture for all his contributions to Wentworth's. A lot of those enhancements, salvage, recipes and whatnot all came in very handy as my less noble bluesiders wreaked havoc across Paragon City.
If it's any comfort, don't worry about buying and selling goods with villains. You've been doing it all along.
Holy pewp! Christmas in June!!! o_O
I could go on at length, but put simply: Thank you!
We don't have a choice; if we want to use MA we have to do it through AE. The vast majority of players I've spoken with not only ignore the stupid backstory (really, I have no idea why anyone at PS thought that was a good idea) but treat MA stories as if they were "real" and not holodeck shennanigans.

I'm not really trying to convince you to use the markets, but I'm just curious... if War Witch had got on and said, "Hey folks, even though the markets are merged mechanically for player convenience, our lore is that they are still separate - all bids are anonymous, so you can pretend the extra bids are coming from other NPC characters on your same side."
|
Essentially Correct
RP issues are RP issues and pointless And, at the end of the day, a market merger doesn't even solve the three underlying problems that have prevented the markets from functioning well. |
I am happy for the merge news. Also another big deal is the ability for heroes and vills to exchange INSP. I am guessing WW is to thank for actually adding a feature that makes good sense and players want.
I think WW understands the need to give us things to do and not base issues on QoL upgrades and the ability to color powers or give us log off bonuses. These items are decent but not a priority.
There are so many things in this game (yes, GAME) that make no sense; details of the market(s) and their supply mechanisms is somewhere down in the 100s. If it was my job to make it all make sense and I was given a completely free (iron-fisted) hand to do so, I might be able to accomplish the task; more likely, it would drive me to drink and/or straitjacket. But it's not my job, and I'm not being paid to resolve the many inconsistencies, contradictions and absurdities in CoX's background, and so my usual response is just to grumble about it for a while and then throw up my hands and get on with playing.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to figure out how to squeeze three more cybernetic hearts into my chest cavity.
Can't you all just send your "Ingame Money" directly to me...
Then you can skip the middleman (auction house) and we can move on...
:e: I mean yall been payin fines for so long now... but all your monies belong to me.
I can understand you guys for being Angry, but i sure they got plans to make everyone happy and not just Rp but the Who Coh Community. So think about us none RP or the Semi- Rp's, it's not a bad thing and going help with trade of Enhancement like pvp and Purples. Alot of us Ask for this in past, now i am Sure they going do something like a new theme or Something for Story lore which going make you RP's players happy as well.
This announcement makes me moan in antici ---------------- pation!
The only thing that would make me more ecstatic is if they announced they were devoting an issue to bases.

This is wonderful news; my REDSIDE characters truly appreciate the time and effort it is going to take to get this merge up and running. Thank you!
I am very curious how this reset is going to impact the BASE and COMPONENT salvage market. I imagine that most of the items that are currently posted are on alts that do not get checked frequently. I could see many items that are currently listed not returning to the market for a while (or ever).
As I am attempting to collect as many pieces as possible on my main villain character, I also wonder if there are some hero-only BASE salvage pieces that I will now be able to access.

Logged in for the first time in a few days, saw the GMOTD, and came here to say thank you. I will be able to outfit my characters on my own now.
Keep things like this up, I might become a fanboi
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.
