Well... a fun idea. That I must admit and with that many active players from the get go...We would get plenty of stuff for the base pretty quickly.
But.. name... theme... magical/tech oriented (or both). I take it a non-rp group, however with options to do so later...
Who should be architect(s) of the base and build? (more then just portals etc)
Union or Defiant?
Just bringing up questions here though...

Tell you what, you can all join mine seeing as I am now the only one left in it! 
I actually like this idea and would suggest that the name/theme would be an out of game reference to the EU. As for magic/tech oriented... why not both? With that many members, as Lady Arete says, it wouldn't take long to get a massive base which would have room for separate tech and magic areas and even *gasp* defined rp room(s)!
Or would the every thing to everyone approach just mean that everyone would end up dissatisfied?
wouldn't it just be better to create a central European Access Global Channel, so that nobody has to give up their bases as they have them?
Sounds like that would be the better way to go to stay in contact with active players.

The good thing about your suggestion is that no matter what server we normally play on we can always get in touch. That is a goal to support.
But Damz suggestion of having one base with as many players in it, do have a merit. A base which many people can contribute too. A fresh start so to speak.
In my rp sg we do have an ooc channel (global as every channel is) that we use to communicate on any alt that we have, so both ideas can be used.
It is not like we will abandon our bases and sg's (that would be wrong).

In the end it boils down to interest. Shall it be mostly forum goers (not sure we can fill all places with that), which of the already existing sg's would like to join in this project?

2. Shall we have a base, or only global channel, or base and a global channel?
3. Hero or villain, or both (that means 2 names)?
4. Which Server(s)?

1. Well, I would certainly be interested.
2. I would say at least a base if not a base and a global channel.
3. I would even say both hero and villain (it allows at least 2 people the chance to either lead (if there is that much demand) or be in charge of base construction)
4. Union (just because I happen to play there) but it might be interesting if it were Defiant as I would effectively be starting fresh there.

Where is this SG based though? Paragon, Rogue isles or Praetoria? Assuming it'll be Praetoria due to all the Shiney! (Are SGs going to work the same way there?)

Seriously though, I'd be interested in something like this - even though I've never really done much with SGs before (save for a brief tenure in TANC).
I've just come back to the game after a break, and will be keen to get more 'involved'.... that's assuming anyone will talk to me after the above name suggestion !

As I will be rolling some new characters in Going Rogue, I'm happy to support this. Assuming that Europe has been Devoured in Praetoria, we can be a bunch of European exiles together.

I'd happily make a new alt for the SG and/or VG, and join a new global channel. (I've always put my alts in a personal SG to get access to the stored IOs there, but that's become much less important with the ability to e-mail items.) I generally play on Defiant, but if most people favour Union that's fine, too -- I have a lot more empty character slots over there :-)

1 SG Name(s): In this thread we can come with suggestions to one or more sg names.
Which could end in a poll.
But to get more of the EU into this server we must also ask in various chat channels on the 4 servers of who wants to join in. And hopefully get them to post in here aswell... OR
Simply make the channel asap and get people to join it. But again... its the name of the channel...
So err.. we need to start thinking up a few alternative names for this sg & chat channel. The good thing about this is that even if we become more then 150 players we can simply make coalitions bases that are extensions to the "main" themes group.
So... suggestions for NAMES for the HERO & Villain group?

I would prefer though that names for a group or channel is made not to symbolise server connection.
Only drawback to this is the proper description of "union" and the fact that there is a union server ;P (I atleast hope we can have members from every EU server)
Not sure if it should have Europe or European or something similar tag in it, but keep the names coming.
But keep suggestions coming and to question who is organizing this at the moment... I have no idea really.

I like the idea, but I wonder if this could segregate players not in the Super SG/VG, perhaps if it takes off, there should be the contingency to make a Defiant version too.
Also if this kind of SG/VG does run, they why not make it to help the EU community in general by running lots of events etc? After all it seems like it may have a few people from these very boards in it.

How about we ALL join the same supergroup/villaingroup? Since im only having GR on my EU account i'll be playing EU side 20 hours a day and would love to be part of THE most active supergroup ever!
Think of the benefits if there is a 150 member active supergroup! We could even create alternative versions of it for competition/extra members! So who would be in?
By the way, as a standard rule i'ld say that the supreme leader would have to come down to a vote and that person has the final say of any arguments that might happen. Ideas on how to make this work if your in?
