Meh, as soon as BT and Virgin sort their collective behinds out and get a connection to my flat (only 3 months I've been waiting now) I'll be in a position to come back online to see what's changed. In the meantime, freeview tv is my companion, and the occasional laggy 3G+ update online via my phone.
Roll on the 8th December when I should be able to get in game again! -
Would have, but am attending a high school reunion, in Australia, at the time!
Have a great night. -
Just want to echo some of the thanks already shown above! A great effort by Kallandra et al in putting the meet together. Whilst I wasn't able to be present as much as I'd hoped it was good to have the chance to put names to faces, and to find a venue that can be used whilst waiting for the broadband to be connected up in my apartment.
Well done all !! -
In the immortal words of someone about to join a TF. OMW.
-
Okay, if everything goes according to plan I move in to the apartment on the Saturday, and it's a 20 minute walk to the venue. Am sure I can put off all the minor stuff such as unpacking and acquiring living essentials until after the weekend

Eeep, this will be a busy weekend! Friday 2nd September is my last day in Redhill, Surrey and Monday 5th September is my first day at our office in Birmingham. Hopefully will have my own place (viewings next week - Edgbaston, Harborne, City Centre) by then to make things a little less hectic!
-
If I am available am always happy to lend a hand! 50's as per signature
-
Thanks for this, it has been on my "to do" list, but haven't been in game as much as I'd have liked over last couple of months!
-
Horatio Brownlow, now to purchase the add on and get creating!

This comes at a an especially convenient time for me as it looks like September will be when I move up to Birmingham with work!
Meet CoH people, play CoH and sample the local area. -
Quote:The above +1 !!How long has it been since I visited faces? I wasn't even aware we could do 'friending'.
That being the case, here be me... http://faces.cohtitan.com/profile/Cambo -
Eeep, with all the various fantasy football leagues I completely forgot about this one! That I managed to come second in The Rogues Gallery is comforting though

Completely unrelated to CoH....
I have been offered a promotion at work and it would mean moving from the sun swept south coast in Sussex to Birmingham (West Midlands, not Alabama).
I'd appreciate advice as to where to look as far as areas to live are concerned. I don't have to worry about children (youngest is 20, and at Uni) or partner (we split earlier this year), so a two bedroom place (either flat or house) is what I'm probably looking for. The company's office is in Great Charles Street, Birmingham, so will be looking to commute into the city as parking can be a pain.
Solihull appears to feature strongly from what I've seen so far on the internet.
Suggestions welcome!

Hopefully not a long break Slaz! I can understand your feelings though.
Clear the mind, grab some fresh air, and come back fully recharged! -
I like this idea, design a Defiant cossie and all turn up wearing it!

Sigh, despite having the name on the forums, and since the game first became a part of the household, @Cambo was taken.
Keeping with the originality that this occasion demands, you will now know me as @EU-Cambo
The second account has also lost the @Junior name (it was my son's, and not used much now he is at Uni, although he still has all the Union server characters under the main account). I will leave it with him as to what name that will change to.
Now to go and change the signature and then update the various binds for the chat channels that now need an "EU" added.
But.....wow, massive shiny server list. I can feel severe altitis coming on! -

You forgot the worst of the vicious antipodean creatures, the drop bear. They've taken more lives than sharks, but do we ever hear about them? No, because they are too closely related to the ""cute and cuddly" koala bear, and that would then scare tourists off.

I've an emp/rad and when teaming the only power I tend to put on auto is hasten. I find that I rarely use healing aura as the majority of heals I do are heal other, as it's specific towards who needs it, or occasionally absorb pain if I see a team mate redline. That aside it's CM, fort, and auras before joining in with my defense debuff stacked attacks.

This time last year the first game of the cricket season was a cold, miserable affair with at least two jumpers required to stay warm in the field, praying that the ball wouldn't be hit my way as I could barely feel my fingers. What a nice change it was for the first game this weekend - I even had to remember to pack sun screen. Let's get into a nice pattern of sun during the day, and rain between midnight and 5am!

The Defiant SG/VG Rankings have been updated
http://www.sjcameron66.webspace.virginmedia.com/
As a summary....
- CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Defiant has a new number one SG - GGRRR. By adding close to 24m in the last 5 weeks they have overhauled The Karma Police. A remarkable effort as that represents a 16.5% increase in their prestige over a short period.
- Murders Unlimited at #5 are still the highest ranked Villain Group but The Evil Echelon and, to a larger extent, The League of Extraordinary Villains, continue to close the gap and sit in positions #6 and #7 respectively
- The biggest earners? It took a special effort to grab the top spot, and with GGRRR picking up 23.6m prestige in the month they are the biggest earners (what they earned in the month would have placed them in 76th position overall!). The biggest movers as a percentage compared to the last update are Imperium Romanorum who continnue thir advance up the table. They improved by 50.96% in adding 15.6m prestige/villainy to move into 25th spot.
- Apart from the chart climbing progress of Imperium Romanorum (up 22 places), special mention to The Unheroics (up 10 places to 55) and The 2nd Echelon (up 6 places to 43).
- Again, no change in the Top 100. Are we looking at a settled group of SG/VG's now? With only 12m prestige / villainy seperating 50 to 100 there are plenty of opportunities for new groups to make an impact. Will we bidding goodbye to any groups in a month's time?
