What're you MOST looking forward to?
New Stuff to do, I hope the GR content is worth the time.
and the "End Game system", more stuff to do on my 50s is what I really want.
I want a Map maker and more types of possible "events" for MA as well, I don't care how hard it is, that is something I hope we eventually get and is the one critical thing that MA lacks.
Oh, and along with the above comment, new maps for CoH/V in general is direly needed IMO.
Adding in all the unique/missing maps from missions back into the MA that were never added or bugged is a good start.
Pretoria. It actually looks like a city!
-Recruited under Arachnos' "Equal-Opportunity Villainy" plan-
I'm looking forward to all sorts of stuff but, short term, I wanna do the new Positron TF. I can't even bring myself to do the current one at the moment knowing that there's a new one coming that'll feel less like getting punched in the neck.
Every city zone getting the Praetoria treatment. All new buildings and textures with far less repetition.
Oh wait... That's not in the features list is it? Hm. Well. The Sharks vs. Ponies minigame looks fun.
Rerolling my AR/fire blaster as a heroic bots/thermal MM. And taking my evil scrapper to the Isles.
Currently looking forward to the new Posi TFs the most. After that come untra Mode, animated tails, and the new dark mirror enemies.
"The Hamidon is a what what of what?" - Brian the mission guy.
Right now, my #1 anticipated feature spot is a tie between Demon Summoning and mail system that isn't completely useless.
The mail system.

EVERYTHING!!!! but not demon summoning :P dont play mm's but new citys beating mother mayhem, i17 and ultra mode *and fingeres crossed more (old and new) EU players returning or signing up!!! xx
Oh yeah! Animated tails, how did I forget that... can't wait to put belts on my tailed cahracters!
The new email system with inf and getting a lot more merits for my villains via hero side (not happy tht i have to go hero to get them but im not complaining if it means kitting out my villains for evil :P)
The mail system, switching sides, new costumes, new tfs and/or gameplay content.
For the rest of the stuff like AE, badges, new powersets, i couldn't care less. I hate to look like anyone else so, i won't roll the new powersets until they're not new anymore. Though the demon summoning looks interesting once i can bring a MM on hero side.
Most content will be the side switching anyway, it will double the amount of characters i can play, as long as i can transfer inf/enhancement. Otherwise it won't solve anything, i hate villain side cause i don't want to have to farm again and twice more to get anything i can get for cheap on blue side.
Dark armor lover.
The Claws/DA Scrapper guide.
Exploring Praetoria. It's brand spanking new! And he endgame, that sounds nice.
Market merger. Oh wait...
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
1. Animated tails - Really, I just want to see if they look good or not. What I *really* want is to use belts with tails...and tails with martial arts robes.
2. Mail system - It's a pain lvling new characters and needing to go the the dumb process of trying to transfer inf to them. Now all my characters can go TO > DO > SO > generic IOs without hassle.
3. Everything else.
I'm a badger at heart and exploration badges are a MUST for me. That being said I finally sat down and realized the whole scope of i17 and Going Rogue. My main badger will have to not only re-explore the entire city for new badges, but she will also have to explore the Rogue Isles (Soon to have MORE exploration badges), and on top of all that the exploration badges being put into Praetoria. I'm. Going. To. Go. Badge. Crazy.
I was looking forward to electric control but Castle crushed my dreams, laughed, then bottled my tears. I can only assume he drank them.
I am looking forward to hearing what new sets are in the works. New costume pieces tickle my fancy as well.
1. New badges
2. Praetoria and any new content in general
3. Badges
4. Mail system
5. Side switching. Looks interesting and will spice things up but not sure how much i'll utilise yet ,depends on the trade offs to do it
5.Badges (did i mention that already?)
6.Any new costume pieces, i want new custom weapons too.
7. AE improvements. With luck people will use it for more than farming and discover there's plenty of other good missions to run (like mine, hint hint)
8.and well i guess everything else too, nothing i'm not looking forward too. I'm even looking forward to things we don't know about yet.
Playing a mission in which i dont know off by heart and is an actual suprise

New Explore Badges - Issue 17
Very yummy! I'm looking forward to this. It's going to be hard not to go visit Vidiot Maps and Paragonwiki to find these guys, but I prefer to actually explore for the explore badges. |
What I wish they had in COH was a Geocaching system for finding explore and history badges. You know, pretend the little marker itself has a log book or GPS info. You'd still get the badges for wandering near them, but clicking on them would give a text pop-up that gives a *useful* text hint as to where the next one might be, and maybe the GPS location (/Loc position) of the nearest neighborhood marker. Each cache (or clickable marker) would tell you a hint to the next one in the same zone, in a loop, so that you might realistically find them all. Each zone would be independent so that you'd have to find at least one per zone from trial and error. Just make sure each zone has one marker/badge in a place that "seems" like it'd be too obvious to pass up for a marker. For most zones, that is already the case (such as the Doughnut in Faultline or the Globe in Atlas).
That'd rule.

1) Posi's Endgame System: I love playing my 50s, and hate that I have no more contacts left for some and must rely on repeatables, paper missions, and TFs. Hoping that the Endgame will provide lots for 50s to do. I know that eventually even that will get to be sort of repeatable, but if there's so much of it, with lots of variation, that'd be fine.
2) Side-Switching: sort of related to #1. I want new Areas, New Contacts, and New Missions/Arcs for my 50s to do haha. Can't wait to take my Brute to the Shards...
3) Praetoria: see above
4) Epic Power Pools: really just want to see what's gonna happen. I do NOT like the Patron Pools. All of them feel 'added on', which I suppose is how they're supposed to be, but I want extra Powers that feel like an extention of my Toons existing power, not a gift from some Villainous Demigod. Not sure if GR will provide an alternative, but hoping
5) New EATs: been hinted at. We'll see. I really hope they make Longbow EATs as a counter to SoAs, and that evil Kheldians/Nictus will be allowed on the villain side. Hoping we'll see new EATs, maybe Incarnates...
6) New Stances: these have my attention. Hoping I can use them with Ninja Run. Love Ninja Run - HATE the running animation.
There is a LOT of stuff in the pipeline right now with surprisingly firm dates for release. We're certain to hear a lot about i17 and GR from PAX, but we already have a handful of promised features to which dates have been affixed.
Honestly, it does a lot to keep me excited about the game. The slow trickle of releases is actually pretty nice.
Dual Pistols - Going Rogue/March Prepurchase
I got this with the pre-purchase, and it is GOOD. There are some changes I hope are made before all is said and done with, particularly in the way of more pistol models, but it's a pretty darn good set and great fun to play.
Demon Summoning - Going Rogue/April Prepurchase
I'm fairly Meh on the concept of demon summoning as a mastermind set. I like the idea of a whip as the primary attack power for the mastermind, but I'd frankly like to see an entire whip set instead.
'Dark Mirror' Enemies - Issue 17
I'm moderately interested in these guys, but haven't found out enough to decide if I like them or not. I suspect they tie in to Praetorian Earth, but of course we just don't know enough yet to make any firm judgements.
Revamped Consignment UI - Issue 17
Wow, this has been a long time coming. The Consignment UI SUCKS, and has needed reworked for a long time. I'm very happy that they're taking the time to clean this up.
Ultra Mode Graphics - Issue 17
The videos look sharp, but I'm worried about performance. Nothing gives me a headache quite like choppy video. I have an 2.7Ghz AMD processor and an extremely bastardized video setup including a Gforce 9400. It'll be just on the very edge of what has been mentioned as capable of running Ultra Mode Graphics. If Ultra Mode options cause me to dip much below 24fps, I'll probably have to leave them turned off.
Now if there are options to render characters in Ultra Mode while not rendering so much of the world in Ultra Mode, I might be more interested in that. Likewise, if the graphical engine updates offer any general improvements to game performance, I'll be a pretty happy camper.
Level 20 EATs - Issue 17
This is a non-issue for me since I have heroic and villainous 50s. I've heard some people say that they feel 20 is a bit low, and that the level award should be 30 or something similar.
New Explore Badges - Issue 17
Very yummy! I'm looking forward to this. It's going to be hard not to go visit Vidiot Maps and Paragonwiki to find these guys, but I prefer to actually explore for the explore badges.
AE Improvements - Issue 17
I'm hesitantly looking forward to this. It's currently VERY difficult to make a lowbie mission with custom enemies. Custom enemies are brutal no matter what you do. If you restrict their powers, they lose a lot of their appeal because their exp rewards are decreased. If I could revamp my lowbie missions to make them less difficult without awarding zilch for players, I'd be pretty happy.
However, what I'd MOST like to see for AE is an improved search and recommendation system. It breaks my heart to see farms listed above good story-oriented missions. (I do report them when I see them, yes.)
Side Switching - Going Rogue
We don't know a whole lot about how this is going to work for newbie characters yet, but we've heard quite a bit on how it's going to work for existing characters. I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the details we have so far. I don't have very many truly 'Evil' characters at all, but I do have a number of 'borderline' characters that fit into the 'Vigilante' or the 'Rogue' mold that have been discussed. I'm greatly looking forward to the ability to get them away from the very polar alignments.
I also have a slot reserved for a level 1 heroic stalker, but I'll have to see how the game treats newbie side-switchers.
New Costume Pieces - I17/Going Rogue/Item Pack
The screenies we've seen look pretty awesome, but I feel like we're missing out on more generic costume pieces and textures. For example, you can kinda mix-n-match the Witch costume pieces with the various bridal pieces, but there's not a lot more room there for player creativity. As much as I'm looking forward to the new pieces, what I WANT is more generic costume pieces and tools to help match colors and appearances.
Positron's 'Endgame' System - ???
We really haven't heard a lot discussed on this other than Positron and the other developers working on this are going to do their best to make it 'fun'. I'm not a farmer at all, so I have a very limited number of characters who have no more room in their build for improvement. I do have one or two 'purpled out' characters. While I'd like more opportunity to advance them, I certainly haven't heard anything one way or the other that will let me feel that this system will do that.
It also brings up memories a little about the various comments Statesman made about systems that were 'coming soon' and then never did. Posi, don't put yourself in the same position States did!
