Part of me is sitting her thinking that the devs/mods were going.

"Yeah rikti invasion, the playerbase is going to be stoked if we hype it up a little..."

After seeing the wild speculation and writhing mass of raised hopes.

"Crap...can we really tell them it's just a Rikti invasion week...erm...think of something...QUICK!"

True... on the other hand, what with the 7th anniversary, the opening of the Omega Team time capsule (and its new related mission), and improved dev/mod tech, I think they can at least improve on the traditional Rikti invasion.

Question is, will this overlap the Valentine's Day event?

If they were waiting to get more build up, it may be back firing. IF they wait much longer, I think people will just start getting annoyed, which will shift into ticked off.

Start getting annoyed? At this point, I don't even care what the actual announcement is any more, I'm only still paying attention so I can be among the first to ***** about it.

The entire thing is the Rikti trying to port in the multiverse's biggest box of mixed chocolates as a peace offering for Earth.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

I see what they did here, its the coming storm - of angry players that is, see everything truly is a Nemesis plot.
