  1. Its not working as intended, all servers are available to copy from apart from union? why is this, does anyone have a solution or is this just bugged regardless?
  2. All glowmaps on armour sets such as Bioluminescence and Organic have been removed, with Bio not even having an option to use a secondary colour, is this intentional or?
  3. Just noticed all the glow maps from organic and Bioluminescence (to name a few) sets have been wiped, theres not even an option to gain a secondary colour from them anymore. Any word on why this could be - I sure hope this is a bug and not intentional, the glowmaps were what made the new armour sets attractive
  4. Although ive been on the game for a week I thought it would be polite to pop my head in here and say hi to you guys (again)

Been almost a year away (Got married, bought new house, ate some cookies etc) and I have to say I hate this game, always aaaalways pulling me back for more of its damned playability and evil fun, how dare it

So for all of you old schoolers its great to be back and i'll be lurking in some capacity or other in a server near you. (Yes Damz, that one)

P.S - On a side note is anyone interested in helping me set up another Titan hunt like the one I ran a few years back in Kings, would be looking for 10+ volunteers. Will post a thread up when my brain is a little more in synch.
  5. Heh try close to 48 hours now, good time to come back to the game I guess.

    Ahh well . . .
  6. I can just hear the mad skype rantings of Alpha when he see's this - poor sod, still its great to see the continuing 'con antendances by Paragon though, what with the drop out at hero con.
  7. Ahh thanks for the Reply Avatea, I didnt want to end up sending the Ocho -another- email, and at least im not on my own in not receiving them. Thanks for the heads up.
  8. Union wise it got very full very fast, im happy that my funkatronic ex-clockwork "Discobot" scooped me a prize of the party pack.

Much thanks to Mod 08 and the rest for setting up these mini events, couple that with the interaction on the forums and say what you like about the issues regarding the pack itself etc - but we have it much better than other MMO's out there which ive experienced where interaction with devs makes you feel like youve been scraped off someones shoe.

Its not perfect but at least here theres a voice that gets heard.

Keep the events going I say, and kudos to another year in Paragon.

  10. Well at least Fanservice noticed what I was trying to say, and yet the cycle carries on, like I noted before I implore you guys to stop this vicious cycle of blame and blie against each other as your just turning folks off what is considered to be one of the most welcoming servers in a great game.

Youre all intelligent people, just drop it and carry on, theres a whole community out there who would dive in to RP and the universe we have if your talents were instead focused on expanding what we have instead of berating each other over minor quibbles just because of some age old emnity.

As I said guys its a game, and were all here for the same reasons.

    Peace out.
  11. Ive been following this thread for a while now and in truth it saddens me, now before I say why im going to say firmly that I am on no ones side in this debate.

Firstly the whole point of late has been over a plot regarding how a large tragic event can affect others and their own RP worlds, but therein lies the issus, it shouldnt.
The Corp for example ran massive plots interspersed with other large RP groups and as of now in their own world have half the run of Warburg with a deal brokered with Blitz.

Now that would surely affect some others on union and ruffle feathers in the rest but its a world created by the folks in the corp and its affiliates - if others choose to accept it great, if not, great, thats the beauty of the game.

Secondly the point of the debate itself, what should have been a great intellectual debate seems to end up a catfight of old rivalries between people who cant let bygones be bygones and as eleven noted, it thus affects the argument in turn. This is something ive followed from other threads relating to this, from a community which I myself have stayed in the shadows of because of these instances alone, and frankly its a shame.

Mainly due to the fact that all those involved are very intelligent and very creative individuals which enrichen this game and the server, but if you guys cant get some kind of hatchet buried its going to get silly, and I for one feel its a shame to have lost people such as Eleven over this stupidity.

Its a game folks and we all play it for the same reason, to have fun.

Peace out guys, love you all.

    So Praetorians!

Well most of the Corporation members have switched and picked up each others characters to play a praetorian version of them, for example @Nychus has Kahn (and has done a brilliant job) and I took @Riled's Cyberspace and created Cyberwar.

Same basic premise of a hacker as the primal version, but rather than using a powered suit he utilises the clockwork network for the resistance but takes full control of his units, even to the extent of modifying many of the various combat chassis he has *borrowed* - makes it fun when falling in mission as I can RP him not mediporting but simply switching to the next available CW model.

A little on the playful side he does like to mess with the Powers division but takes his role seriously.

As to his true intentions - well its hard to say when even the resistance have never seen the face of the man who aids them.
  13. http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Secondary_Mutation

The link above should help any questions, the page isnt fully completed but the base info is there.

As for the Rikti Monkey mutation - it works by devolving you to the monkey state, it lasts only a minute though in which your powers are out.

I can see folks getting hot under the collar about this but the way I see it is the other buffs last for 20 minutes which is a fair chunk of time, leading it to be one of the buffs you drop at the start of a mission - that way if the monkey power hits you only have to wait a minute of flailing, I wouldnt suggest to use this power in a heated AV fight for example though

    Umm Codes?

Is that 3 for you now slaad?
  15. If someone is using the url to check the number from eu1/2/3 then this competition just became useless - would be an advice to change it if possible otherwise each code will be claimed before being posted.
  16. Looking down at the smoking hole where the demons head had been, Kurze smiled and nodded to the shadowform.

    " Took y'damn time "

Looking around and seeing his men slowly freed from the ice the demon had left, he gestured for them to form up, looking at a small device on his wrist which had been flashing red but had flashed blue almost a second ago he smiled - Bingo, thats my girl - then clicked on his com bead.

" Kurze here, - mission 100% successful - distraction provided t'full effect, on confirmation Corp package has been delivered will need permission t'withdraw from this hellhole "

He looked around and surveyed the scene, the carnage was dying off and Arachnos flyers were milling around, a few making headway away from the scene, the lawn and rooftop was scattered with the broken forms of the robots/demons/mercs his men had taken out.

" Damn good work boys, now we wait fer orders - I want the roof clear, cover the exits - i'll create us an exit if needed "

The beast stumbled a little but kept its footing. He was angry now and that only increased his power; with great strength he slammed his hoofs onto the castle rooftop and ice began to spread out over the stones, capturing its nearby foes in a block of ice.
He had but a split second - but he used it well - the ice was already encasing his feet and working up his torso. Rapidly moving one hand to a pouch on his chest packs he gripped a small device while he managed to shout off one command before the ice encased him.

The ice was shredding across the rooftop but for one spot, near the parapet where Kurze had orignally set up, now congealing with a black oily shadow rising up from the ground and gaining form behind the Demon Prince.

Rising to to form of a vague humanoid shape, the shadowform moved with swiftness to the demon, coiling tendrils of dark aether around the demons limbs keeping it held long enough to distract it from a small flash of light behind it.

The two creatures clashed, darkness and bale demonic powers deflecting against each other as both fought for ground, the Demon with brute strength and anger, the shadowform with swiftness and guile.

The demon roared with rage and began to tear at the incorporeal form of the shadowcreature, which backed its way towards the parapet, seemingly in retreat. The demon must have sensed this as it roared towards the shadowform, only to be halted by the touch of cold steel on the base of its skull - the lithe form of Kurze atop its upper back, his bodyglove still warm from the thermal charge.

He managed to smile once with a sharklike grin at the demon before pulling the trigger.

    " Headshot you dumb s.o.b. "
  18. The demons massive paws smashed at the spot where Kurze had been - the rooftop cracking at the impact.

Crouched on the ledge behind the demon Kurze grinned

" Tough but slow, this'll be fun "

The demon turned to the voice and roared, to be greeted in reply by a roar from the barrels of the Desert Eagles as Kurze deftly fired, jumping sideways off the ledge of the parapet to the rooftop for a better firing position at the beast.

The fight was truly under way . . .
  19. No worries Liz, these things happen - a little slowdown of the plot over the weekend would be nice I think, maybe a pause for a day or two for folks to actually communicate and keep each other in the loop as to where peeps are, a list here would be cool to check off.

1 -Toons still alive and at the scene
2 -any more on the way
3 - locations of those who are still alive and on the grounds
    4 - Their current action

The reason something like this is seemingly needed atm is the whole cat herding thing, god I love you all

I'm away at a wedding the next few days so will catch up on what I can but I think more communication is key so folks dont get lost as to who is where why and whatfor.

I hoped for a bit more drama and less rushing.. Thats all.. But it seems like were back on track. So let us let it slide and go on on seeying where this ends.
Liz pal, thats why the corp are inbound to assist, they have an accord with arachnos thats well known with you guys, if you just take time and read the posts from Riled, myself, bunny and Alpha you'd see that, I know its late man but all our posts are there to see. Plus iirc Riled sent you a PM about it today.

We had the same thought as you that we knew where Castle bathory is located and a mass gathering of what seems like an army would not go unnoticed, not just to arachnos but to the others in that area, Vanguard at the HQ, Goldbrickers too - the corp players are agreeing hence why were -helping-
  21. Again I should stop agreeing with Alpha as its bad for my health

But a mod would be good for future plots, we were discussing this earlier today, and all the above points but add in the mod being not involved in the plot or having toons involved.

Plus the patience of a saint as organising us roleplayers is like herding cats.

    Cats on steroids.

    Cats sipping acid on steroids.

Cats tripping on acid and dancing on steroids.

    With tutus
  22. Aye after the initial confusion with the MM's and Pious a simple PM to me explained it all and it made perfect sense - plus there -has- been communication since making things much easier and I thought things were pacing well, the nighthunters are being kept at bay in the grounds, the corp are inbound to *assist*.

Again to jump back to Alphas point before -these things need a mod- and no it cant be BG as the poor sod has enough time on his hands.

However these things were smoothed out earlier and the pace resumed nicely.

Now this thing about arachnos has risen im sitting here with a smile on my face and all bemused, whats the problem exactly Liz is it the fact that corp are inbound and you had a prior plan - or something else? Riled did send you a PM hours ago. Hope this reaches you well, its only that enquiring minds wanna know
  23. Ok now im doubly confused, so is the Corp involvement allowed or not, I saw the PMs that were sent to Pious and Bathory from the corp Brass pre informing what would happen, I dont get whats going on now - the whole *removed arachnos* line - is that meaning a retcon?
  24. Before the concussive round hit, Kurze was already on the move - dropping his shadowform to move faster.

The rifle was now slung over his back and the twin Desert Eagles in his hands again, gesturing to his enforcers, the two black clad men fanned out and opened sustained fire to the merc group by one wall, the thugs providing cover for the arsonist who was already lighting more dynamite to launch at the mechs training their weapons roofward.

He managed a last glance at the bruiser of his mob, launching a volley from his scattergun to the mob below the far wall - before a dark shadow dropped in front of him, in a brief second he managed to assess the situation, and that sitation was around 8ft tall, skinless and covered in bony protrusions with a baleful glow around its eyes.

    Demon

Kurzes eyes rolled black as he allowed the darkness within him to take form and cocked the hammers on his dual pistols - with enough time to utter the the words

    "Bring it"

Before the demons fists came crashing down around him . . .
  25. Nodding to the static reply over the com channel Kurze, hitman for the corp, lookd up and smiled to his men on the rooftop

The two enforcers took sideways positions to give covering fire as Kurze laid his Desert Eagles down and unwrapped a long muzzled L96A1 rifle, a weapon he rarely used but did take good care of. Kissing a pendant given to him by his partner Aquis, he smiled as he lined up a his first target, a mean looking soldier type, the one leading the mercenary band as they moved forwards.

Suddenly one of the larger brutes took to the skies towards the choppers and the bubbled mercs kept moving - Kurze smiled to himself and looked up to his men.

"Good news boys, we're a go, so just as we planned yeah? when the first one drops - unleash hell "

The thugs nodded and smiled to each other as the Arsonist lit two sticks of dynamite and threw them in a long arc - giggling maniacally as the sticks flared overhead to the lawn where the nighthunter troops were massing minus the brute.

"Good throw Kain - now just need to wait for the riiiiight moment . . ."

His finger sqeezed gently on the trigger - waiting for that hairsbreadth moment . . . .

He didnt have long to wait as the ground erupted in a loud *thwoom* and a sound like a sharp crack followed instantly from the roof, then followed as weapons opened up along the rooftop.
