So Praetorians!

So whats people doing with regards RPing Praetorians.

Myself and Cactus Brawler are doing a 'Cops' style show (very heavily editted of course) doing the 'Powers' arcs, though obviously it'll be more 'general' in RP sense than 'we have done this mission' style.

So what else be people upto?

I have a few discussion threads planned once GR hits live.

I have a few toons who will start out Praetorians since it doesn't make sense for them to start as either heroes or villains.

And because of [censored] I'll be able to publish an AE arc I've had waiting in the wings.

I have three Praetorians.

Apex Vegan is well I'll be honest shes a rip on Evil Ex 3 from Scott vs the World. Shes a loyalist that buys in the whole better future PR line and wants to do 'whats best' for the world.

MU Outcast (a rehash of an old idea) Is a line of mu that unlocked her powers via science in Praetoria and is working for the resistance.

HK-9000 (because someone out there has HK-47) is a Clockwork with plans to rule the world with his robot minions.

Zahir Rolando is a scientist working for the PPD, helping with technology to combat the Resistance. He lost his legs in a terrorist bombing, and is quite the moral and upstanding citizen, willing to risk his neck in his own time to test his robotic helpers in battle and help to keep the streets clean.

Officer Maxi Pound is a mutant in the Powers division, and despite her small size, being just under four foot tall, is well suited to fighting on the front line due to her immense strength and toughness. She wishes to rise in prominence so that people won't keep literally overlooking her due to her size.

Jonathan Wong is a Powers Division martial artist, utilizing ki to bolster his might. He's also a Resistance mole, there not only to help relieve the oppression of the Praetorian Police Department and aid others, but also to try and track down his sister.

Geltblitz is quite the cruel man, using his powers to devastate and destroy the Resistance, who he sees as a threat to his comfortable lifestyle. Power hungry and a little greedy. Fame has it's lure for him.

Mindserf was rescued on the QT by Jonathan Wong from a laboratory, a hidden project to bolster the mental gifts of a psychic. Very quiet, he stays hidden away in Jonathan's apartment, yet somehow is able to sneak out and in when there's someone in need.

Nathan Clarity - he's the Praetorian version of Averment, a mild Technopath with the ability to make machines/robots work because he believes they should. Unfortunately his powers are stunted because he's never really had the confidence to use them. His main friend is Copperpot, his robot.

Pris'N - Still have to make her. Praetorian gender-swapped version of Forse. She's a psychopath with elements of Harley Quinn.

And that's it. For now.

MWahahaha.

Forse: lvl 22 FF/NRG Defender
Tam Krannock: lvl 37 Shield/Mace Tanker
Toppa Grace: lvl 25 Fire/Ice Blaster
----
Red Commissar: I'm in the Queen Mother. Only more awesome. And alive

I created an evil muse.

Well, maybe not quite so evil. He just happens to have a mean streak.

Gunwitch, Annette Louise Barrington, is the Praetorian version of Nitoichi, but she won't be around Praetoria for long.

To come, maybe:

Cranfield, KM/Inv brute. Bit of a thug and in it for the glory, but fiercely loyal to his friends.

Baltry tosses electricity about. he's a sort of more responsible version of Cranfield.

Kenya is a transgenics experiment; cat-like, stealthy, nasty claws, and in the Resistance.

The Militia forum is currently alive with debate on a new Praetorian Police Department group who will be pursuing those dastardardly Resistance folk next week starting from their first day on the beat. Will they act Responsibly or fall to the lure of Power? Or even turn traitor? We don't know yet but then that's half the fun of finding out.

Hmm, so far I only have Belus, aka Rauri Connell, but there's plenty of time to think up more.

Currently working on Canain, a "refugee" from Mother's hospital. He's currently on loan to Power's Division, however as he grows stronger, the drugs and conditioning will start losing their hold...then all of those pent up memories will come tumbling out.

Last night Kinetite graced Studio 55 for a while. So far, she seems like she might be the snarky type but we'll have to see how things develop.

There was some interesting chattage there last night, and some fun poking at the godawfully dressed MM of CB's who's name I totally can't remember right now. Then, alas, I had to leave due to most amazingly painful toothache.

That would be Stardust Raphsody.

Him and Cyber-Amazon (his snarky clockwork sidekick) are a crime fighting duo followed around by the Cambots for a Praetorian play on a Cops style TV series called Blue and Gold.

I currently have Delta Psi, Mutant gunslinger former refugee with a bone to pick with authority, three guessess which side she's on :P

And at some point I'm going to roll up Loyalist Susan Bright, if you thought regular Sue was bad enough, you ain't seen nothing yet :P

I'm not telling anyone where Kinetite's loyalties lie. Y'all are just gonna have to figure that one out in RP.

Toying with the idea of creating Johnathan Hicks in the Praetorian universe, who - unlike 'Prime' Janet Foster - wasn't rised in the kind of environment that made her comfortable with coming out, so she was stuck in her male identity and became incredibly brusqe and cold over it. Nothing distracts you from inner emotional trauma more than the oppression of rebels you know are in the right.

'course, in its current incarnation that seems really gimmicky so needs a fair bit of tuning.

Let me guess. She's too self independent to pick sides and finds them both stupid.

Meanwhile I have March Hare, Preatorian Lab Bunny and part of an island colony of escaped Biological Superweapons. Basically the Lab Bunnies but more than willing to make weapons or apply force to a situation and the idea that maybe the world could be more efficiently run with a better mind in control.

Well most of the Corporation members have switched and picked up each others characters to play a praetorian version of them, for example @Nychus has Kahn (and has done a brilliant job) and I took @Riled's Cyberspace and created Cyberwar.

Same basic premise of a hacker as the primal version, but rather than using a powered suit he utilises the clockwork network for the resistance but takes full control of his units, even to the extent of modifying many of the various combat chassis he has *borrowed* - makes it fun when falling in mission as I can RP him not mediporting but simply switching to the next available CW model.

A little on the playful side he does like to mess with the Powers division but takes his role seriously.

As to his true intentions - well its hard to say when even the resistance have never seen the face of the man who aids them.

Show's all you know! I'm following the main story line with this one, so she's one of 4 possible sides.

Loyalist - Power Hungry, will step on anyone and everyone for power
Loyalist - Wants to genuinely help people within the confines of the law
Rebel - Ricochet's route
Rebel - Won't take Ricochet's route

Which she is, is up to RP to reveal.

I am anxiously waiting for ParagonWiki to get all the mission text up for the Praetorian arcs, so I have more info when writing TCoSR II and III (both of which involve the Praetorians). Specifically, I need more info on what happened to Anti-Matter (and his apparent fall from grace)!

Re: my own characters, of my mains:

As the Rikti never invaded, Vanguard was never formed, but after using all of her technological and inventing skills to help Moscow's citizens flee from the Devouring Earth, Sorina 'Tava' Tavarisch is listed as "missing, presumed dead";

and Andrea Blake's true backstory finally develops (including discovering her real name), as she fights for the Resistance, specifically helping the Seers escape the yoke of Mother Mayhem. Where on Primal Earth, her powers manifested as dark/psi (born psychic, she gained control of Netherworld energy after a near-death experience)... on Praetorian Earth, she focuses her psychic talents into telekinetic energy harnessed via martial arts, and shrouds herself in darkness to hide from Mother Mayhem.

Made a praetorian version of one of my villains, where in rpime universe his twin got the mutant powers in the praetorian one he did.

I only have one Praetorian and planning on keeping him in Praetoia. He's Ron Bolton the living counterpart to my Zombie Rotten Luck.
