My quick route to the Midnighter's Club/Cimerora blueside, if I am not on a team:

  1. Get to base (either base teleporter or entrance).
  2. Go to Ouro crystal, take the Percy Winkley mission (Origins of Power)
  3. Use Ouro crystal to teleport to contact.
  4. Quit mission/task force.

I am now at the Croatoa entrance to the Midnighter's Club.

If you run the science store (Holsten Armitage) mission, you get Ouroboros access. Of course, odds are good you'll already have it by then.

Quicker still, if you're 50: Oro portal, go to a crystal, start mission, take one of Daedalus' arcs Future Threat or Stolen Power, click crystal, go to contact IN CIMERORA, quit task force.

Those are 46-50 Oro missions, I don't know if you get access to those before 50.

Quicker still:

When you first unlock Cimerora, pick up a mission from Marcus (who gives out the never-ending radio-style one-off missions) but don't do it.

Then when you want to head to Cim for an ITF, chose that mission and use the Mission Transporter from the MAC Edition. Don't worry about burning the Mission Transporter which has a long recharge time since all the ITF missions are in the same zone.

Do the same for the Shard.

Another thing about Ourobouros that I didn't know until comparitively recently. If you touch the ring (ooooer) around the big crystal in the main ourobouros building, whilst on a flashback you'll get tp'd to your contact. Saves a lot of running around in the early stages of a flashback when you are unable to call your contact.

Yes, this. The mobs are level 31-33 (0r more?) even in the lowest section of the zone. Taking on hazard-zone sized spawns +1 to +3 your level can be tough when solo (at least it was for me when I tried it at level 30).

One of my fondest memories in this game was running into a level 30 in Crey's Folly who was having great difficulty completing his kills for the aura mission. I was on a level 40ish at the time and teamed with him so we could quickly blow through the mobs he needed. He was so happy to finally be able to get his aura, it was kind of touching.

Spirit Potion (temporary power obtained from Archmage Tarixus' mission "Deliver puzzle box to Hardcase") is also a click phase power.

Spirit Potion has 3 charges, lasting 60s each, making it the only phase power lasting longer than 30s. Unfortunately, the mission to obtain it cannot be reacquired by Flashback.

You can do the same thing with the smaller crystals, but it takes an additional click to TP to the contact (which is why I use the single-click larger crystal, but wanted to mention it in the interest of completeness).

True -- but the fact remains that she's in there, and many people who HAVE the VIP Pass consistently are surprised to hear this factoid.

It doesn't make them any less true, though. And for anyone who didn't realize, it could be a very helpful hint.

Agreed. I have a friend from back home who's been playing years longer than I, who sent me a tell while I was working on Cheat Code's final costume in Pocket D. When I was done, I replied, "sorry I was working on a costume."

His response "Since when is there a tailor in Pocket D?"

Isn't it almost a year now?

Indeed. I use Trina for my tailoring almost exclusively, as she is just a click away. Also, Trina is not only a tailor, but a Super-Tailor, allowing Body-Type changes if you have the Science booster pack.

Rest puts your character into a high-mag immobilize. Pop about 10 BF's while resting and you'll be able to move around until they expire.

I don't think that's *why*, exactly. I think it's because it happens a lot when no one is around to care.

More than. Trina appeared in Issue 13, which was December 2nd, 2008.

I've actually reported that as a graphics bug a few times. I had no idea it was intentional...

Paragon Dance Party was the predecessor to Pocket D, and while it is no longer accessible by players, you can still see the original entrances in Steel Canyon, Talos Island and Independence Port.

Taunt auras like Invincibility, Against all Odds and Rise to the Challenge will interrupt the interruptible powers of enemies, like the self-destruct of Embalmed Cadavers.

It's possible to resurrect players with Howling Twilight by using Oil Slick as a target. At least I think it still is, unless the devs changed that a while back.

I don't think it was intentional in terms of they WANTED it to be like that. My guess is it was a programming conflict between two motion tracks, and that the only way to resolve it would be to alter the orbit of the moon.

That still works. I'm really not sure how they could prevent that from working.

Good stuff but a small correction to the Master STF. You can also use the purchasable Jet Pack in Master runs, as it doesn't grey out. Perhaps not the most useful temp for that task, but there we are.

There used to be a "bug" in Arena where you could queue up Warburg nukes during the countdown to buff the group, heh.

There is still an underground Dev office in the Fab. To get there, you'll need to take the kinda sloping entrance into the Fab (Where the Arachnos Fliers are for various missions) and meander through the passages. At some point you'll see small sections like this:

=====] [
#
#
#

Heh. Anyway, the "=" signs look like lockers and they have a little gap in there a character can slip through. Just squeeze through them until you find the dilapidated office, replete with desks, whiteboard, disused computers and an iron maiden (Oh there are some high level Arachnoids there too, careful!)

- You can cage the Arachnos Flier in STF, towers too IIRC.

- Lost Savior was once available to villains! You needed a hero with the "Craft Lost Wand" mission queued, head to Rikti War Zone, invite a villain friend and craft the wand. Then, autocomplete the Defeat 20 Lost mission and both of you would get the badge.

- The Hive was replete with map holes in the day. Some creative individuals went under the map and used Snow Storm to drag GMs into the bowl at opportune moments.

- The face of Ruladak is etched into various stone structures in the Shard.

- Rularuu mobs are great sources of arcane salvage and occasional purples, if you're up for the trip there.

- St. Elegius Hospital in Dark Astoria is a nod to a hugely popular television show, but oddly enough no children in Dark Astoria will speak of it.

- If you get 1,000 temporal points in Recluse's Victory before the zone shifts, you get a hefty Longbow or Arachnos Mech, one use temp.

- Used to be a bug during Hami raids that an exemplared character would produce a higher level Hami. You could replicate this villainside (prior to Hami raids) by clicking your reward menu in Warburg to produce 52 Hamis.

- The Cavern Trial in the Hollows can be completed in under 15 minutes and rewards with a Pool B drop. So, habitually, does David Wincott's arc in Hollows.

- Even if you have no arc slots open, you can still get Viridian's arc in Ouroboros if you have all the necesary badges. Fun one too.

- You can unlock Rularuu weapons:
Heroside: Complete a shard Task Force or destroy 100 Overseers
Villainside: Complete Naylor's "Bravo for the Shadow Shard" (?) arc (or is it "Last Stand at Mole Point Bravo") or get Efficiency Expert Pither's mission to rescure Olivia Darque, set it to +6 or so and spawn Overseers the 'hard' way.

- Completing Ernesto Hess TF unlocks the "em dice7" emote.

- Getting the Outlaw badge redside unlocks the em ListenStolenPoliceBand, which brings up the hero police scanner.

-There is a "secret" face and throne in the Shadow Shard. If you find it, you're awesome.

-The Storm Palace is an awesome place for a team to go farming. It is one big circle filled with high level enemies that all drop magic salvage and all have a chance to drop purples. There is also only one exit and entry point so you can't accidentally fall out easily.

-Learning to use the jump points spread throughout the level is actually FASTER than using most other travel means, once you learn how to navigate them properly. Vidiotmaps is great for this.

That's backwards, actually; it rises in the SSE and sets in the NNW; I have several screenshots of this from shortly after Peregrine Island became accessible -- the ferry at Peregrine Island gives you an ideal spot to watch the moon setting across the water.

Any mission will do this, including TFs. It's not difficult to get missions where you're getting triple credit (two Defeat N [group] and a door mission against that group), but I've never managed a quad-credit.
