The cape mission sends you to talk to Paco Sanchez, who is right next to the Galaxy City Yellow Line, standing on the side of Cygnus Medical Center.

Entrusted With The Secret can be obtained by having the 5th Column Gladiator badge. 5th Column Gladiator is obtained by having the first and second anniversary badges.

Since anniversary badges are obtained by logging in, a level 1 character could have the portal, though since the first two anniversaries are long gone, no new character could get it that low.

Which leads to the question of how you know that! lol

Yeah, this one annoyed me. I've yet to find a good way to sort Marcones from Mooks when hunting for Gangbuster on PO.

That weirded me out so much when I came back in November! I was used to her saying "Hi there. What's on your mind?" when you spoke to her. But to find out that she's a trainer now--and one for both heroes and villains ...

I wonder if she'll play a significant role in Going Rogue.

Here's a thing from me. I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere, so I figured it might be useful to someone:

The Good vs. Evil Edition Jump Pack can be used in combination with flying powers to increase your overall speed, and it's a significant boost to boot.

Although I'm not sure and haven't confirmed this, I think you can get an even stronger boost in speed if you hold down the jump key as you fly, pointing yourself towards the ground slightly so that you jump forward rather than up. I do it anyway, at least.

It'll also stack with the Zero-G Pack while still letting you jump in midair. Bouncing through the air with quick, shallow hops like this is pretty fast.

Activating a clickie will break Hide. However, one with a long enough timer will allow stealth to reactivate while the timer is still going.

I don't bother anymore -- I just go to The Flop in northeastern St. Martial, where they quite literally spawn in droves. I've been able to stand in one place and have line of sight to 8 or more of them at one time (many of the mobs in that area contain two Marcone bosses).

"targetcustomnext enemy alive "marcone capo""

Works just fine. =)

I'm not the droid I'm looking for.

MA Arc ID 8121: Rapp'Mas'Ta's War. The Rikti are trying to incorporate sonic effects into their weapons? THAT can't be good. Maybe we should ask them to stop.

Hmm, I remember trying with the quotes and having some problem with it. This was forever ago, though, so I couldn't say if I just missed a quote somewhere or something.

When flying, your point-of-view angle will have an effect on your flight direction. Looking over-the-body will cause your character's flight to descend, while looking under-the-body will cause your character's flight to ascend.

This is something to bear in mind when you're using flight to go from one part of the zone to another and you either see yourself gradually climbing or descending.

To expound upon this, holding the right mouse button allows you to move your camera's view at will. Activate flight, then using the right mouse button, move your mouse forward until you character is looking straight down at the ground. While holding spacebar is usually to 'ascend, this will let you move forward as 'up' is now forward, forward is toward the ground, x is away from the ground, or up. Using this and flying high it's easy to scan the ground, especially in outdoor mission maps. Just get to a good height, look down, then hold spacebar to fly over the map, looking down at everything below. It's great for finding glowies/hostages and such.

This is the number one problems new players have about understanding fly. Every time I see a new person with hover using S to climb and W to descend I have to explain it to them because I did the very same thing. I remember hovering backwards over the Hollows to gain altitude then sideways to get where I was going and then descending forward. I thought it was so dumb until I learned I was the dumb one.

Here's an easy method if you want to visually identify them (without having to click on them).

Marcone Capo's are fashionably challenged, and only wear 2 different costumes. How very sad. However, only the marcone capo's wear these 2 specific costumes, so they are easy to spot from the other riff-raff.

If he is wearing a white suit and is bald: = marcone capo.
If he is wearing a black suit & white hat: = marcone capo.

Another tell tale sign is the leadership buff swirling around him (I think it might be assault).

That's actually how I did it in the end, and it works pretty well. If you keep your eye out, you can see the flare as the buff's animation starts up once you get into sight range.

Here's 2 other oddities/facts:

  • You can run through mesh fences (the see through ones) if you have superspeed. Run into the fence, you'll stop. Then continue forward. Voila, you have run through it, and not even been diced into tiny bits.
  • When inside an office map, if there are enemies above you (eg a multi-level floor, on a ramp above), you can spot them easy even when they are not in line of sight. Just look upwards, and there will be shadows moving about on the ceiling above you. This only works for enemies on the same floor as you.

I tested it yesterday on a gang of Trolls, and it identified the Trollkin Sluggers just fine (out of a large group of various other Trollkin). Remember that you have to use two quotes at the end to close the whole thing off. The command is:

/targetcustomnext enemy alive "trollkin slugger"

So, the macro becomes:

/macro TROLL! "targetcustomnext enemy alive "trollkin slugger""

And the keybind would be:

/bind 4 "targetcustomnext enemy alive "trollkin slugger""

Cheers!

Something I discovered just today: you can dismiss the Ouroboros Portal via the Pet Window.

If playing support characters, it is useful to know that using Shift+1 through 8 selects your teammates (excluding yourself)

You can bind it as well by:

/bind numpad1 teamselect 1
/bind numpad2 teamselect 2

and so forth.

After about an hour of searching, I finally found the Developer Dungeon in GV. It's very well hidden.

Also, after reading this again I'm going to try some binds to make hunting easier on my badger. If I want to create a bind to search for Troll bosses, the command would be:

/bind t "target_custom_next enemy Ogre$$target_custom_next enemy Caliban"

Correct?

Yes, that should work.

For the on-the-fly targeters, try this

/bind alt+g beginchat /bind g target_custom_next enemy alive
{replace g as necessary}

Pressing alt+g will present you with the whole target_custom bind into which you just need to add the (partial) name of the enemy, which you can cycle through using the g key. Especially useful if you need to quickly pick out a sorcerer, shaman or something else without having to constantly type in the entire bind command.
