Thanks For Being Loyal!
Unfortunately I'm still waiting... >.>
Just sent a reply askin whats up
Dave, nobody really expects anyone to have a different password for every website they ever log in to.
But once you've lost access by someone else pirating your account, regardless of whether you get it back, you really ought to change any accounts that use that same passwords across the board. |

People really need to read the thread before posting questions.
EU people: Pacific time is GMT+8 so adjust accordingly. People worried about whether they qualify: get on the horn with Customer Support and explain your situation and get confirm/deny. Or just wait until after the maint window and look for yourself, and if you have a dispute then go take it up with CS. Devs, thanks for making a game I can always justify spending 30 bucks a month on. |
2 days since the original petition and 22 hours since my last email to them checking on the status, and I have nothing.
11/19/2009 03:59 PM I am escalating your ticket for further assistance, and someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible. |
I'm not worried.
I almost fell down on the loyalty bit due to RL pre-occupations (nothing todo with other games). It's easy given the crunch. I think a weeks grace would be nice for those that did.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
From when the program was announced some time ago;
I'd imagine this means that we're getting the same thing on our own server, but that's open to interpretation, I suppose. I'm just happy at Avatea saying we'll get a beta. |
The 60 + month game time needed for the tier one Going Rogue Beta Access is
calculated the same way for EU and US City of Heroes game accounts. Also, game time
can not be transferred between separate game accounts.
So how many 60+ EU players we have? And still active?

Just got a reply from support on this:

And that makes my new #1 in my 'worst mistakes made in MMOs' without doubt:
transfering to EU servers.

Just found out about this badge :/
Changed credit cards midway as my main one expired. Bank sent my new card to my old address. So I called them and they said 1-2 weeks, being an addict I went and bought a Walmart debit card to pay. My new card finally came in and I updated my information. Didn't get the badge, but just filed a petition. Sent my transaction history along with my email, hope that helps.
Just got a E-Mail back asking for the PayPal transaction ID's for the payments I made.
Hopefully I get it, even though I get paid kinda strangely on Wendsday instead of Friday and in October it seems I was 2 days off because the 26th (the usual day I pay) came on a Monday instead of afterwards like September, August and, November.
CoX needs a PR person who knows what they are doing.
A simple script that ran on the start date to see who is subscribed, then run it again on the end date. All matched people would get badge/beta for Rogue. It is far better to allow a few people a free reward that may not of "earned" it. Than to deny "loyal" customers a promised perk based on a technicality; such one day because of a credit card change or the such. The former costs CoX nothing, the later can cost them that loyal customer and maybe others.
I changed banks, accounts, and credit cards in the middle, and still got it. And even if I didn't, and a thoroughly executed CS escalation showed that I did not deserve it, it still wouldn't be enough to quit the game.
If all it takes to quit the game is a single badge, that you do absolutely nothing to earn outside of paying your bill on time (which some folks are apparently having issues with), then maybe CoX just isn't a good fit. There are far more challenging badges to earn than this one.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Well I've received two replies so far stating they are escalating the ticket. So at least that's not two no's. Just a waiting game now.
Same problem I keep getting a you are being moved up message. Quite annoying.

Indeed, but at least its not a flat out no eh?
wow i still can't believe how many people do not read the fourms, every asking what thess badge are and what they are for, i tried my best to tell them it maybe a good idea to read the fourms from time to time to see what new or what stuff might be coming soon.
also not many people seem to know about the clockwork codes either
there need to be something done to bring people to these fourms in one way or another
I am going to get this off my chest and come and say this, the Loyalty program was a joke.
The first post amuses me, “Thanks for being loyal!” Loyal for what? Being one of the people, who managed to get this badge because you didn’t have finical issues, had a flub with your payment or maybe you were just bored with the game. You know I was standing in Went’s the other day and saw this player with a pretty cool character, so I clicked on his or her information and guess what? Six months of game play and they now have the badge that guarantees then a space in Beta. Excuse me? You want a six month player in an expansion pack looking for bugs?
And of course this whole thing about if you’re having issues getting the badge contact support. Many people are in line waiting for a reply back. My friend had to wait almost three days for a response. Guy has been here a very long time, has all the veteran badges. They told him, “Sorry, you don’t get the Loyalty badge because you missed a few days do to a payment mix up.” What? That’s not considered loyal, having 66 veteran reward badges? He does not care about getting Beta Access, he is upset because he is a badge nut and that's one less badge he will never get.
Am I bitter about not getting the badge? Sure. Am I leaving over it? Nope. Even if I did get the badge, I would still be here ranting about how dumb this program was.
They put 60+ veterans as the next in line for Beta access. They could have saved themselves one hell of a headache and did a program to where if you received the 30 month veteran badge between August 15th and November 15th you get the Loyalty badge and a third spot being in Beta access. That’s considered being loyal, not a small three month span time.
That would have been simple, easy and eliminate a lot of folks being upset they did not get it and have to wait days to get a response back from a GM, telling them “No.”
<Takes a stand and applauds> Congratulations on pulling a Jack, I am sure he is proud.
Yeah I am probably going to get tomatoes thrown at me, but there are a lot of folks, I spoke to who feel the same way.

The point of the loyalty programme was to encourage people to maintain their subscriptions over the period when CO was launched. That included 60 month vets, and six months vets and, in fact, people who only bought a sub the week before. They're all important, because NCSoft want *all* of them to keep forking over their subs in the future.
(Also, don't be too sniffy about players with 'only' six months of experience beta-testing. People with different expectations and different levels of expertise find different bugs, and it's important to have a heterogeneous group of testers, or more bugs will be missed.)

Further, for those concerned about the beta, a reminder:
