Gibb, I'm going to say this one last time: Everyone gets GR beta. It goes in waves, and everyone gets to beta it. I won't be first. Even though I've been playing since April of '04, participated in the loyalty program, and will be pre-ordering GR. You won't be first, either. EVERYONE gets GR beta.

If you want us to interfere or dish advice, okay then: It sounds like things are rough right now. We all appreciate some good escapism...but I would put CoX out to pasture until you've got things back under control. Speaking as someone who was suddenly laid off for several months after the company explosively took all their money and skipped out of town--there are priorities in life, and CoX wasn't that high on my list.

I think it might have been better if they'd made the requirement that you paid for 3 months during the 3 month period - like as long as you paid a sub at any time for September, October and November, you'd get the badge - it'd still be 3 months of subs, but it'd allow for breaks between the payment.

Few leave due several reasons, remaining folks have even less people to team up with, they leave also (where this 'rule' might be a easy reason to do so).
Again, its easier to speak if you're at the 'good side', people that looking forward to getting into GR beta waited several months to eventualy hear: sorry 1 day u didnt pay, dispite you are 56 months, NO ACCES!
Im among the most spent on this game people, i dont mind. But what do i get for it at the end of the line? Delayed betas and deserted servers.

GR isn't going to revolutionize CoH. It's new content, new powersets, and new places to go. By and large, it's the same game. Is it really so special to get in the beta for it period, let alone 1-2 waves sooner?

There is absolutely no proof that they won't give this badge again for a future event.
Honestly, I'd be terribly surprised if they didn't do it again next year at roughly the same time... or at the very least, around the time the other other superhero MMO is released.

I think it'd be great if there was some way for a forum account to be created as soon as you logged into the game for the first time, with your global chat handle used as your default forum handle.
And there could be a button somewhere near the chat window that would take players straight to the forum too.

GR may just be 'just a new feature', for me it still holds faith i can stay on the EU servers. All my villains are just standing there in a totaly deserted place, no reply to whispers, no one free to join my team, like some freaking single player game.
this is a MMO and i play this game for the first M, i dont mind the money if i can play within a 'massive' envoriment, yet clearly NC just doesnt seem to care.

And two expansions in over 5 years is not really milking money. If you want that you should switch to World of Warcraft.

Yes offcourse, i will transfer about 12 characters for like 15USD each 
(then i still leave alot behind).
See, the irony with WoW, i remember not long ago Devs here were mocking WoW for 'copying' their dual-spec idea, along with the server/faction transfering. However, WoW now made 1 step beyond CoH, cross-server teaming. Easy to say, Guildwars done this ages ago already, never the less WoW became yet again worth the money.
First i played Union, no defiant was better. So i continue Defiant, due <i wont name this here specific, but lets say 'farmers' and the 'system'> Union became the big shot again.. so i should transfer yet AGAIN?

I'm one of the people who's been lucky enough to get this badge and I'll probably be in GR beta, BUT a friend of mine had his credit card expired when the payment period arrived on a Saturday, and while he couldn't do anything along the weekend, he restablished his credit card on time next Monday and was able to pay, nevertheless he's been told via PM that no badge is awarded to him, because of just 2 days and the payment arriving on a Saturday. He's been on the game longer than me, from the very Euro release, and hasn't failed a single payment apart from this, when it was more important, his loyalty and devotion to this game is not worth after all these years for just a matter of 2-3 days. How unfair!
