Dunno. I do know that when it comes to the weekends the game has a lot more folks that log on to play. Plus it also depends on what time you log on that could be a factor.

People are probably coming back because the current games now are stale or there just popping in to say "Hi" for a little bit.

Now when the expansion hits, will see if the population has gone up. But as in most games it fluctuates.

Too true. Don't get me wrong, the ship raid can be fun, but its rather annoying it TPs you out after a certain time. Dunno why they (The Devs) didn't put in an encounter to were a large group of heroes and or villains ENTER the ship and destroy it from the inside not the outside. Must have been easier on there end to slap some thing together.

As for the AE missions, I enjoy doing that and from time to time I'll do farms with folks. But as mentioned above can only go on for so long before people become bored. Gamers wants some thing that keeps them interested in the long run and honestly TRUE raids I believe are the only thing that are keeping Conan alive for the time being.

And I wonder what changed in regards to Hamidon with patch notes to make things change?

You can run Hamidon for a while and after a while people grow bored of the whole encounter.


But the fault doesn't lie with our server, sure it may have less people on it then others, but that is far from the issue. The problem I feel is with the DEVs themselves. Look, this game is going to hit its six year mark in May and not much has been added into the game to provide people with more encounters as a group of heroes or villains. Most online games nowadays provide players the opportunity to do indoor dungeons with large groups of people, working together as to accomplish a goal.

That's one thing I do miss from Conan, getting 4 groups of six people on each team and entering a dungeon and defeating insanely powerful foes and then the main boss, that to me was uncanny experience and true fun.

When you add piss ant encounters to defeat a big blob of jello or do a ship raid with a bunch of people, it does tend to wear on people after a time. Sure it offers rewards but boredom from repeating what has been done over and over ways on people and they prefer to do different things.

Sure other servers do these types of raids often, it could be a variety of reason but I am guessing the main reason could be that there is nothing else to do with a large group of people. So they chug along and basically force themselves to beleive its fun just to gain a reward, I assume their are more people on Pinnacle who do not feel the need to force themselves into submission to have fun.

If the DEVs added indoor encounters with a large group people able to team up and have a good time, it would change a lot for this game and people actually getting excited to team up and do some thing fun and different for a change. The Devs need to glance at what other games are currently doing to keep their subscriptions up as ideas instead of falling every so slowly backwards.

I disagree. Most of Hollywood is made of remakes; it has exploded in just a few years.Furthermore most of those successful authors are never told what to write, they are successful for doing what they wanted. Good example would be the "Harry Potter" series. Was the author told what to write? No. If she was, I am sure she would not be as rich and famous as she is now. You are famous for using all of your abilities not bits of them.

In my free time I write, love too write, if someone came to me and told me what I HAD to write about I'd be pretty pissed off.

Along with that if people wish to submit a previous arc they written, so what. Perhaps they are proud of their work and wish to at least try to have it recognize with out the constraints of guild lines.

Perhaps you find it challenging to try and write some thing while having your hands cuffed behind your back. I however feel that if you want some one to be in a contest give them an opportunity to use the all of their creativity.

About this contest, its really sad to see yet another contest with guidelines. Whatever happened to a simple contest to submit a story of your own creativity? Instead we have a contest of basically some one saying this is what you HAVE to write about.


Furthermore how creative can you even be with a character losing their powers? Yes, its a contest and I can choose to enter or not to enter; but open a comic book of any type and you will surely find a story like this. Its been done into the ground for decades.

Some one looses their powers because they ran into a green gem, someone looses their powers because they got shot, someone looses their powers because someone shot a ray gun up their butt, or how about someone lost their powers because they sneezed.


My opinion is if your going to hold a contest let people be creative on their own terms without constraints and silly repeats of what has all ready been done.

Run Doctor Q in about 4 hrs and you can get over a 100 without trying to find over a dozen people for this. <shrugs>
