Release Notes for 1600.20091102.0 - 11/04/09
... Players and REDNAME put on the sarcastic hats and made fun of the people who seem to think that BABs and the animation team somehow cost them fixes for things that are not in their department. |
It's still not cool in my book.

YUMMY Low-Hanging Fruit for BASE LUV
Paint it any color of justification you want.
It's still not cool in my book. |
So, just for clarification, you think it's totally cool for the people who made the off-topic whine posts to have done that, then? I don't, so I see the retaliation as deserved and not at all inappropriate.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

|
There you go putting words in my mouth again.
I don't, so I see the retaliation as deserved and not at all inappropriate.
|
(and yes, two Wrights made an airplane, but that's another topic entirely)
Retaliation accomplishes nothing but escalation.
I am no longer interested in engaging in further discussion regarding this.
My way is my way, as yours is yours.

YUMMY Low-Hanging Fruit for BASE LUV
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Zombie, I agree with you for the most part. That was actually the point of my first post initially.
What I was seeing was this: So I called BS. |
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
This is patently untrue. I have never removed my sarcastic hat, thus have no need to put it on.
|
I see.
That makes it SO much better.

Now who's wearing the sarcastic hat?
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.
|
Irony.

It might be unique to Maya.
Either way, the PC starts deciding where the key frames go. I dont want to have to colour that picture. Its rather messy |
In fact, I've only known one animator who worked by setting keys manually, and his curves were a bloddy mess. Namely because he would just select every bone and blast a key onto everything...whether it needed it or not.
It's essentially the same thing, except one requires at least one extra keystroke and usually generates more keys than you actually need.

I thought Back Alley Brawler's sarcasm came from his armored gloves? I've never seen him with a hat...
|
Nope...spare keystrokes are saved for sarcastic posts on the forums.
And with that, we've come full circle!
Whup-*** is in the gloves. Sarcasm goes in the lid.

BAB! Why are you spending the keystrokes *I* am paying for on SARCASM when Facetiousness is so under developed! Why don't the facetious get some love, HUH!?
I don't have time to read the whole thread, so forgive me if I'm only repeating things.
First of all, the walks look great! I've seen the Youtube video of a Female walking, so I tried Male and Huge. Very nice work!
I also noticed that it works in Studio B in the AE buildings. That was a surprise, though a nice one.
Finally, the tricks for drawing a weapon and keeping it out work even when the Walk toggle is engaged. When you stop, you drop into combat pose, but you walk normally when moving. I don't know if this is intended or not, but I kinda like it.
"I do so love taking a nice, well thought out character and putting them through hell. It's like tossing a Faberge Egg onto the stage during a Gallagher concert." - me

CatMan - some form on every server
Always here, there, and there again.
For anyone that has noticed stunned mobs doing a weird new animation recently, that turns out to be the Walk animation. I thought it looked a little familiar.
"I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes."
Zombie, I agree with you for the most part. That was actually the point of my first post initially.
What I was seeing was this:
|
1) They want BaB to work on X instead of working on animations,
2) They want BaB to sit back and not contribute anything to the game until one of his colleagues successfully accomplishes X.
Thus, mockery.

Er...I always work with auto-keyframe mode (Auto-Key in Max). All it does is automatically create a key at the current frame for any translation you do on the object. Nothing mysterious about it.
Also: /e glee! Quoted by one of my favourite rednames ^^
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

We need to make sure that the right people at Cryptic are aware of the need for reflective items for bases!
We need mirrors!
And I wasn't aware that their game even had bases.
I'll stick with the NCSoft game that I currently play instead, so I'll need you to send me a PM when Cryptic gets those added to their game.
Thanks.
