Play on East Coast Server? Have lag? POST HERE!
same here laggy alot of the time, animations bugged, enemies flying up in air dead after being defeated(on cave map) non toggling powers showing a toggled animation. net graph has redspikes with some areas of smooth gameplay. game crashes to crash report message and i send in the reports.

I play on Triumph, i get red spikes constently. It's almost like a patteren. I hoped over to Virture once i read it may just be the east servers, and not a red line to be seen. Been like this a few weeks now, but really bad lately.

Getting quite a bit from my pinnacle connection, though there are some grace periods, those nasty red spikes of lag hit nasty for quite a while, causing icons to bug out and animations to be grossly out of sink to what's really happening. KB powers are especially problematic and cause some seriously wack rubber banding.

Same as stated above. Animations around powers that are not toggled on or were used should be recharging.
Enemies 'zipping' from one place to another, twitching on the ground when defeated and sometimes moving up and down a few feet in the air.
Created a character on Virtue and the netgraph looked like it had been freshly mowed.
Is the test server on the East Coast hub of servers? So the latency issue might go away possibly after i16 goes live whenever it is?
Not the end of the world, just a little frustrating sometimes.
This issues popped up just before this last double exp weekend, and has not gotten any better. I was also able to switch to a West Coast server (Champion) and had only a single red spike during a two hour session.
Location: Central California
ISP: Comcast
Problem: A red spike nearly every 2-5 seconds, resulting in an extreme of lost packets. Although I am able to stay connected, I experience jittery NPCs/players, delayed animations, completely failed animations and twitchy enemy mobs after they have been defeated.

Coming from playing on union, i dont think its a case of specific servers. unless you can explain the similar issues there :/ The entire server was laggy the other night too :s
Posted this in another thread but that one seems to have died due to the OP cross posting. Problems here started before the double xp weekend. Also like most other people that are having this problem (at least 3 others on vent with me are having it too and I know one's from Seatle) it's only on the East coast servers.

My experience on Infinity has done downhill fast the last couple of weeks. I'll have to try my alts on Virtue a while. Extra information: my ISP is Road-Runner from Time-Warner.

Problem: More than 3 teammates and it becomes Old Hammi Raid for any member of the family (3 computers, 3 accounts in the house). Only noticed this in Triumph as I generally solo on the other servers. Started right before Double exp for us as well.

I have put lots of hours into this issue and I have found that the issue probably lies between East coast servers and their hub that splits off from the West/East Coast split. What I used to prove this is I can connect to West Coast server fine and have packet drop on the East Coast servers, and I use the same route to get to NCsofts Gateway.

Nthing the "Can hardly play on East coast servers, West coast is fine" complaint. Netgraph is infested with red lines.

Netgraph says my ping is in the 180-200 range. I tried tracerouting to Liberty, but apparently traceroutes fail when tracing to a City of server. Gets as far as Chicago then dies.

The person who referred me to this thread stated that the next hop after pccwbtn.net should be Liberty, or something else (a router/gateway) under NCSofts control.

Yup yup, I thought this was a problem with a brand new pc, I play on pinnacle and went through 3 days of driver installs and ether net cards, hard lines and wireless lines. in the end it came down to NCSOFT servers. on Virtue not a damn problem in sight. Calling NCSOFT help tomorrow to complain. If I can't play for a month cause of their B.S. then I want a month free!
I just wanted to add that I tried playing on champion and the connection was a perfect green line there. Other than my ping (I guess thats a west coast server) So yeah its something NCsoft needs to fix or they need to get in touch with whatever router is causing everyone so much havoc.

Hey guys its being worked on:
You're right. When this ticket was created, we hadn't yet found the commonality at the root of this particular latency issue. The problem here seems to be related to a routing issue on the return path from our east coast datacenter. As such, only the east coast servers are affected by this. Our Network Engineering team has been investigating this in an effort to get it resolved as quickly as possible. By this point, we've gathered enough information from you to include in a compiled report (of other affected customers) as part of their investigation. We currently have no update on this yet but we're working to get this cleared up so that our customers can continue to play on the east coast servers without this problem. Regards, Mike C. That jives with the reply I just got back from Support - they called it a "latency issue with one of our peer ISPs".

I'm glad I found this thread. I play on Triumph and occasionally I do have problems with my ISP, so I thought the issues were just on my end. I'll have to try out one of the west coast servers that I have characters on and see if there's a difference. This MIGHT just be the problem I've been having ... my netgraph looks very similar to some of the ones above ... and not the ones with the pretty green lawn look

Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm ...
So its come to my attention a lot of people are getting lag on the East Coast servers:
* Freedom
* Infinity
* Liberty
* Pinnacle
* Victory
* Triumph
If you notice lag, you can type /netgraph 1 and it will display the netgraph. If it has a lot of red spikes, there is a problem. So here's the format and maybe we can determine what is going on, support blames the ISPs as a problem... yet my other games run just fine and the west coast servers do too.
