First off I did look threw the bug forums for this and didn't spot anything. Just saying lol.
Anywho, after using Light Form on my PB and while its on recharge. I click on the power again and normally you get the "recharging" text, but with Light Form the animation takes place again. Being that this animation immob's ya, it should be fixed please. -
Quote:I have been after NCsoft for a long time now about their networking issues and being I am going into the field of this profession I know what the processes are to find issues. Off the block accusing and misinformed technicians putting fault onto other sources because they cant read their data correctly is not what I expect.I'd suggest that you read the response that Noyjitat posted back on 8/18 in this very thread. You know, the one where NC's tech support team stated what the problem is and that they're working to get it cleared up as soon as they can.
Let's see you try to track down and resolve an Internet routing issue in the blink of an eye with a provider that isn't yours, directly.
Furthermore, who's acting like a "1st grader" here: The people working indirectly to get a network/routing issue resolved or the impatient player that can do nothing but insult the company whose service is being provided and resort to labeling this as some kind of blame game?
Even other professionals I talked to had the same opinion i have.
Quote:Whoever you talked to at NCsoft does not know how to read traceroute data. First of all, I don't understand why the graph gaps conflict with the trace text around PL%. Hop 7 shows no loss on the text side.
Second, and an important rule, if a middle hop shows loss, but following hops do not, the middle hop can be ignored. This is called ICMP rate limiting and also perfectly normal. It does not cause performance issues on packets passing through the router. -
NCsoft needs to hire a real IT for a change... really would like to put these guys on the spot for blaming other ppl and taking for ever to do crap.. in all reality.. they are a bunch of 1st graders.

I have put lots of hours into this issue and I have found that the issue probably lies between East coast servers and their hub that splits off from the West/East Coast split. What I used to prove this is I can connect to West Coast server fine and have packet drop on the East Coast servers, and I use the same route to get to NCsofts Gateway.
LOCATION: Central FL
ISP Provider: Comcast
Problem: Red Bars (aka incoming packet drop from servers) -
That is too funny, actually when I first saw these results I did a google search on pccwbtn.net and I came up with this site http://www.pccwglobal.com/.
Pretty big company to have a node as unstable as that (if it is theirs). -
Technically according to the Wiki http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Client#Game_Ports
It requires TCP and UDP ports to be open -

Huh, isnt this recent announcement interesting.
After the maintenance and patch, My connection is worse then before.
I am also having massive amounts of "Duplicate In" packets. -
That sentence is a confusing one. If I had an ISP that was unreliable and/or had complaints about the connectivity, I would see that under their control to get someone to fix it. And going back to some one else's reply, that would make it NCSoft's problem.
-
Some thoughts:
If it was a node and not NCSoft I would have not experienced 10x worse Packet Drop over DXP weekend, being it is not related to their activity.
But I did. -
If this is true can I get some other people to tracert or ping this node and tell me if they have high pings. If that's the case that is the problem being it looks like this is hosted by a International provider
-
I had no intention to be rude or pointing fingers. But I am trying to take a foot stand to this re-occurring problem and solve it once and for all. I have tried to use "TweakCOH" but that has no more use than my tracert's in command prompt. I will probably send a message to NCSoft's tech support in the future but not just yet.
Let me give some more details about my speific problem to see if we can come up with a solution. Having multiple tracerts from different areas can find the problem much easier.
I play mostly on Victory and occastionally on Virtue. Leaving DXP out of this issue I have little to no "Dropped Packets on Virtue Server coming from Florida. On the other hand Victory has a massive amount of dropped packets. It might just well be a Local Hub or a International Hub right before my connection with the Servers. But casting all blame off of NCSoft does not fix the problem.
Teamwork is the only way to fix this. -
I have spent all morning testing out my network and such to find this packet dropper. So far I can tell it is not my network. Therefore I went onto testing to their server. Now as most of you know you cannot ping their hosting servers. So I went ahead and used the last drop to their server, which I believe is their firewall.
Quote:As you can see this last hub is very high comparing to the rest.1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1

Now, all of these, "Because it is DXP weekend" nonsense should not matter being I did this after Mondays Maintenance. COH has a problem on their hands at the moment. I just wish I does not drive away paying costumers like myself. Sat watching my "Red Grass" via /netgraph sitting in Atlas Park while everyone else was gaming DXP weekend.
That is all -

If things were perfect before they were released we wouldnt need upgrades then would we. Things are not perfect and peoples opinions change daily. If you can make a better O/S do it yourself.
