Well, I was away for 2 weeks playing CO and came back this weekend. I was playing on Virtue Saturday, and had the lag issue infrequently outside of missions, but very frequently inside the missions, to the point that the game is not playable. Massive rubberbanding, dead bodies hopping around, and me not even able to go to the hospital after being defeated because, while my body is lying on the floor, the message says that I cannot go to the hosptal because I HAVE NOT BEEN DEFEATED.......

I haven't has time to try other servers, but on Virtue, the game for me is unplayable as of 12:00 PM EST today.........

It's baaaaaackkkkk.....

At least it seems like it is. For the past week or two things were going great, no more DCs, but since 2XP Weekend began it's started happening again. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if it's really just me this time.

I wasn't seeing it tonight.

NCSoft keeps giving me the run around. They won't deal with PCCW, even though NCSoft is the one that chooses the hub. So, PCCW is just going to get away with it because this disreputable company has no way it can be contacted by 3rd party ISPs. So, NCSoft is hanging all of us out to dry.

So, PCCW and NCSoft are a match made in hell. Two disreputable companies with no idea of what customer service is.

Agreed. My connection appears to remain stable for now, but my latest problem has manifested in the form of CTDs during large zone events (raids, etc.) that started with the i16 release. However, I don't think this is related to connectivity issues.

From the recent posts in the thread, it sounds like there are still some players who haven't experienced any relief and others where the problem has just appeared.

My connection has been back to normal for weeks.

I did get some bad lag last night on Freedom PI...but I switched to PI2 and it went away. Probably just a lot of ToT going on.

Grandville in Triumph was very tough last night. All the players across the entire zone were experiencing severe lag when moving, and clicking powers was a challenge. I have not seen lag like this in a long, long time.

We were hoping that when it started up a GV2 would spawn - no such luck. We all ended up quitting instead of trying to find another zone where level 50 characters could ToT.

I did submit a support ticket before I logged off.

So, seven months since last post on this topic, and these East coast server lags still pop up for me, from time to time, usually after they do maintenance/update (like today).

On Triumph here, and little to no lag at all for me. Mapserves and rubberbanding are rare.

Well, yeah. Misery loves company. This is about the exact same problem, making a new thread and reexplaining everything (lots of good information in there) doesn't make sense.

There's also people who have left the game because of it and might want to know if the issue is resolved, so this is also a simple "bump, still not fixed".

I have been getting heavy duty lag on Infinity.

Here's the thing: I have heroes on Liberty, and villains on Infinity. I can play my heroes just fine. As soon as I switch to a villain and go into an instance, it starts lagging all over the place. My villains are fine outside. As soon as I go into an instance, I get stuck at the loading screen for a long time. Once inside, I get lag spikes repeatedly that have even caused character deaths.

Other examples of lag I see in instances on Infinity include:
*rubber banding (where you run forward then suddenly shoot back to some spot you've already been)
*enemies/npcs sliding around on the ground and missing part of their running animations
*powers not firing even though I've pressed them and they are recharged, but the 2nd or 3rd power I press works
*powers giving the "recharging" message when the icon shows as fully recharged

It is frustrating, as I have a number of villains on Infinity I would like to play. Again, Liberty: no issues outside or in instances. Infinity: fine outside. Once I head to an instance, I'm given dial-up model flashbacks.

Also so far, day of week and time of day do not matter.

(old thread originally, but still relevant)

I have been seeing this exact same thing on infinity lately. I play on both infinity and protector, protector is just fine while infinity is having the problems you listed. I did a synapse tonight and the whole team was getting bad skill lag and rubberbanding. I kept an eye on the netgraph and wasn't getting any unusual spikes, so it doesn't seem like a latency issue. The only issue I had that was different from your post was we had some of the lag issues outdoors also, when we fought babbage.

Well, ok, it's not just me again. Bad lag issues on Infinity. Playing in CA. More in mish's than out however, which I thought was weird. Thought it might be an animation thing. Will post a net graph asap.

It's not just East Coast. The same has happened to us on both Protector and the test server. Horrid lag. Enough to make you quit playing.

Chained Bulldog level 33 Stalker on Liberty
Cobalt Blue Knight level 32 Scrapper on Guardian
Drone Keeper level 32 MM on Champion
Glacier Force level 28 Tanker on Justice
and 7 nearly full servers of alts waiting their turns.

I'd like to report that this is happening again.
