  1. I know exactly how ya'll feel. Makes me wish there were more cursor options for us old fogeys.
  2. On a related note, I'm curious if the "pets won't move after zoning" bug is fixed in I18?

This is the one where after zoning (usually into an outdoor zone such as an outdoor mission or a different island zone) the pets will just stand at the entrance to the zone and will not move. Even dimissing and switching zones repeatedly while redismissing, or logging out for a short time, may not fix this. You cannot recast them when this bug happens (unless they die). The only real fix is to either log out for a longer period of time or as some say to get your pets killed somehow. (A short thread on this bug is here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=226574)
  3. I have been getting heavy duty lag on Infinity.

Here's the thing: I have heroes on Liberty, and villains on Infinity. I can play my heroes just fine. As soon as I switch to a villain and go into an instance, it starts lagging all over the place. My villains are fine outside. As soon as I go into an instance, I get stuck at the loading screen for a long time. Once inside, I get lag spikes repeatedly that have even caused character deaths.

Other examples of lag I see in instances on Infinity include:
*rubber banding (where you run forward then suddenly shoot back to some spot you've already been)
*enemies/npcs sliding around on the ground and missing part of their running animations
*powers not firing even though I've pressed them and they are recharged, but the 2nd or 3rd power I press works
*powers giving the "recharging" message when the icon shows as fully recharged

It is frustrating, as I have a number of villains on Infinity I would like to play. Again, Liberty: no issues outside or in instances. Infinity: fine outside. Once I head to an instance, I'm given dial-up model flashbacks.

Also so far, day of week and time of day do not matter.

  4. Woohoo!

Er... Shhh. I should be quiet in case something hears...
  5. It would be great to have a fix for this. Bots is my favorite MM primary so far, but occasionally I have to switch to a different character out of frustration due to glitches like this.

I'd like to see collision just disabled for everyone on the same team. I frequently team with another MM, and narrow hallways/doorways can be a pain. One pet will block the passage, and no other pets can get by, let alone the other player (since you only walk through your own pets, not a teammates pets).
  6. I still get the "pulsing" sound of a glowie when I'm nearby.

One thing I found out the hard way was that "destroy object" targets do not make that sound. I guess I'd never thought about it before, until getting a mission where I had to run back and forth through the whole thing multiple times to find that "destroy object" target underneath and behind some piping in the back of a room :?
  7. What operating system are you using? Windows, Mac? XP, Vista, which service pack?

If in Windows, make sure that you disable autorebooting.

Right-click My Computer, choose Properties. Click the Advanced tab then the Startup and REcovery button. In the System Failure section, uncheck Automatically restart.

This way if you are getting a blue screen error, you should have the opportunity to read/write down the information on it. Searching that information can help a lot.
