Should we get in touch with them or just hang tight and wait? I was assuming they knew there is a problem and don't need yet another customer complaint to deal with.
They do know it's a problem so a new ticket won't help in that respect. However I'm also of the mind that the more people that report the problem, the better response they will get from whatever downstream company they need to work with. If they can definatively say 500 people are impacted, that's better than 10 (numbers made up obviously).
  2. It's gotten a little better for me the past few days. I still lose packets, but the frequency seems to be much less. Full teams on busy maps can still hammer it though (ITF).

Actually got a call from an NCSoft NOC person to do some troubleshooting earlier in the week, but on my end it was just running tracert and pathping (never heard of this one, and it didn't seem to do anything) for them. On his end he was tracing my IP. He had a list of people to call and work with so hopefully that helps them narrow the problem down.

    On Triumph btw.
  3. Same red spike problem for me on East Coast servers (Triumph specifically) but no issues on West Coast servers.

    Location: Northern California
    ISP: Comcast

    Lag

Posted in another Lag thread but posting here as well in hopes of this one reaching critical mass to get some notice. Got the same issues w/ east coast servers and packet loss every 5-10 seconds. West coast servers are no problem.

    Lag

I've been experiencing the same problem for the past two weeks at least. I am located on the West coast and when connected to an East coast server my netgraph has red spikes every 5 to 10 seconds. When connected to a West coast server netgraph is perfectly normal. I've already got a petition to NCsoft and gone through the first two levels of support. I got to the point where I ran pingplotter for them but it apparently showed no anomolies. The ticket was passed to their network engineering team. I also initiated a ticket with my ISP (comcast) this weekend and am waiting to hear from them. Any thoughts on what else can be persued while I work through support?

    Odd death poses

One I had from a long time ago when ragdoll was first introduced: Ouch!
  7. Some helpful hints to run the Hess TF as quickly as possible:
    1. In the first mission, you only need to clear out the ambush room and the ambushes. You can skip the first big room.
    2. In the second mission, you only need to rescue the scientist (always in the generator room) and blow up the 6 generators. (Careful that attacking the generators agros the whole room)
    3. Missions 3-6 you only need to destroy the computers, not defeat any mobs. (Might want to spread your team to the 4 areas where these missions spawn, if you have enough people capable of damage spiking the computer without dying)
    4. Mission 7 you only need to get the 2 glowies (always in the same room together, and you don't need to clear that room) and clear the boss room.
    5. Mission 8 you only need to beat the boss room (the one with the view to the robot)
    6. Mission 9 you only need to beat the AV.
  8. I thought that defeating Romulus would cause one of the nictus to expire to rez him, but on a run I just did, we have Romulus and the pbaoe healing nictus left. We defeated Romulus but the pbaoe healing nictus didn't rez him and die. Am I misunderstanding what happens when you defeat Romulus while there are still a Nicti around?
