Official Forum Feedback Thread

Feedback is important to our development process, there are two types of feedback and both are helpful although some give us more insight and are more easily adapted into forum changes.

Objective Feedback: Objective feedback is based upon what you as a user see or experience that other users may also see and experience. This feedback usually can be replicated easily as it involves facts and unbiased opinions. Example: On the villain skin links are unreadable because of the color.

Subjective Feedback: Subjective feedback is based upon how you feel or experience the forum as yourself. This experience may not necessarily be replicated because it is based on feeling and emotion. Subjective feedback is important to us but it is usually helpful if more information is present to describe what and why you feel the way you do. Example: The villain skin is very nice, I wish the hero skin was as nice because I mostly play heroes.

In the User Control Panel, the space for writing the biography is too small. The Bio, signature, etc. should have a preview button. The old bio has been reformatted with codes inserted for line breaks that no longer work.

Nice to have the forums back. Its going to take a little getting used to. Things are a bit sluggish at the moment, but I assume that's because they are getting pounded.

Avatars didn't port over... and the URL sanitizer doesn't allow tildes, so people with home directory public HTML hosting on UNIX servers can't post their avatars. Like me ;_; At least, I can't find anything else wrong with http://progeny.isu.edu/~buckminst/coh/mikuruneko.jpg

Subjective Feedback: (Request) I'd like a skin with no graphics at all, if possible, please!

Please, for the love of all that's holy, TURN GRAPHICS IN SIGS OFF!!

Would be a huge boon to usability if I could set in options to just go straight to the English forums. I have no use at all for the French and German ones, so that's just a time wasting step.

Subjective: The contrast between the background and the post boxes is too slight. Both skins are very very monochromatic and lend themselves to being an indistinguishable mass of single color and text. Either a change to the background color on which the post boxes rest, or an alternating post background color would improve readability immensely.

Well, they are ok so far.

I would like to see a way of setting the english area as your main spot in the User CP. Also when you are at the bottom of a thread there is no link to go back into the forum, you have to scroll back to the top of the page. That is very annoying.

Also, everything starts looking the same. Not as easy to see separation between sections, and the loss of a color shift for new posted areas is annoying.

I wish I would have known about avitars not porting over so I could have gotten the location of my old avitar before the move.
