Thanks everyone for your support and understanding. -
I will be tuned into The Cape for it. Stick with the community that I've been a part of.

This thread just goes to show that the line I play at the end of my shows from Animal house is correct... "Nothing is over until we decide it is." Between this, the CoH vet and alumni sites and facebook groups starting up, the petitions, we have hope. Just a fools hope, but hope, and that is the important thing right now.

That if these forums shut down early, the Cape Forums will still be up and running for people to talk to each other. Website is linked in my sig.

Virtue has been a home to me. All of you have been like extended family. This game has been there through good times and bad. Thank you all for letting em entertain you, for giving you someone to get pissed about for someone that will miss everyone.

Doing a little digging. NCSoft lost 6 million in the last quarter, and while CoH is making money, it is low man on the totem poll on the money makers. Aion was a huge flop, NCSoft got partially bought into by a competitor, and whammo. 4 months is not a lot of time to sunset a game really.
I am grateful for the friends I've made, the people I've met, the people who have been entertained by The Cape and myself.
Keep tuning in as we are still going to be broadcasting.
thanks Virtue for being wonderful. -

To all those who came out to Capecon this year, I would like to say it was great meeting all of you. I hop you had an enjoyable time getting to meet other players. We had 60 people there.
thank you also to Paragon Studios and Zwillinger for coming out, as it helped make this event that much more awesome.
I look forward to seeing you all next year at Capecon 2013. Thank you all again. -

Pocket D is the brunt of Jokes, and depending where in the D you are, and what time of day it is, the ERP crowd will be lurking around.
That being said, over the 6+ years of being a DJ for The Cape, I've spent a ton of time in the D, checked out different areas of the D etc... and there is plenty of non ERP going on there. Unfortunately the smaller ammount of ERP gets all the attention. -
Oh, I know that the specs have changed, because I haven't changed anything in my PC hardware wise, and the game is running like crap. Yes, I've gone through the disabling of things, clean up of other things, etc... But I'm not even able to run Ultramode anymore and I was before I21.5.
I just was thinking with what we see in this forum, if some of the expert builders could come up with a few different specs that we could recommend out to people who want to know what type of system to get, it could help people not have as many problems. -
Survival Tip #1: Music - The Cape Radio Just to see how sleep deprived DJs sound.

Its been a long while since I've seen any suggested Minimum/Optimum PC specs for playing CoH, and I know they have changed since Going Rogue came out. anyone have any ideas?

I will be honest, the Devs here have done a lot right, and some thing that I don't agree with.
As far as the OP goes, there are a bunch of games and companies out there which really don't give a crap at all about players. A recently released MMO pissed me off when I was having problems with their Beta code, and their response was, sorry you'll have to find some place to get another code (I had gotten the code from a reputable graphics card company an hour before). This company lost any business they might have gotten from me.
This is the world we live in. -
T-minus 2 weeks. I am looking forward to seeing many of you there.
-
Less than a month to go, we have 42 people signed up, and still room for more. Hope to see you there.
-
So a couple months out do we have date and time yet?
