Indeed... it should take at least 2 misisons. Pick the 'correct' mission, have a decent sized team and I don't see that being too ridiculous to be honest.
As for my views on it... I doubt anyone is really interested enough for me to make a decision on whether it is terrible or not.

I think that covers most aspects of the game. Nearly everything is ruining the game on a constant basis if you trust everything you read, but you should have the right to do everything too

As for farming in general:
There's a HUGE farming thread on the US forums(yeah, there are *plenty* of threads on the subject) where Arcanaville and several other posters well versed in economic theory explain exactly why farming is hurting the game. And nobody is willing to get what they're saying.
Here's the thing in a nutshell:
Farming generates huge amounts of influence that never leaves the market. This causes the prices of rarer items to keep rising continuously, since the piling up of inf makes its perceived value to drop.
Now, since prices keep rising, you need to farm more and more to afford stuff, which drives the prices higher again.
Some people would argue that salvage and recipe drops would drive the prices down because of increased supply, but the fact is that when you sell the drops on the market, only 10% of the item's sale value leaves the market, and rest of the influence stays in the game, enabling you to pay the inflated prices for other stuff.
Just from my completely non-scientific observation, the prices of some unique set IOs have tripled since last summer. I wouldn't cry DOOOM or anything, but this isn't really healthy for the ingame market in the long run.
Obviously farming is a fast and efficient way to get what you want *in the short term*, but you're shooting yourself in the foot by doing it.
Cue the moans of "You can't tell me how to play, I pay my 15$/£/!" and other assorted rattle-throwing...
I think the devs have probably been a bit taken by suirprise by some of the MA exploits that are being used right now - the beta testing was mostly to make sure the actual MA system worked, so I think most of the testers were looking for bugs rather than exploits.

Simple way to stop extreme PLing. Make trainer visits mandatory before you can start earning xp towards your next level. Done.
btw if 1-34 in one mish and 1-50 in 6hrs is done in ma, imho this isnt an exploit. farming will be around u cant stop it. and if they try to stop it. farmers will just get creative in ma neway. unfortunately ma is just a huge farming area. and the devs brought it in

sewer teams no longer happen
people will stop teaming mid-way through missions
taskforces like the ITF wont have as many under 49s
would kill any teams basically

They shouldnt be really, off the top of my head i can think of many ways to "abuse the system" with the right AT, a lot of them are obvious too.

The obvious solution to killing farming in them is to remove the XP and Inf. which I suggested might have to be done for it not to be horribly exploited when the idea was announced.

Not just, but can be easily used. I dislike sweeping generalities especially ones that label the work I have put into creating an arc as exactly the same as an arc set up specifically to gain fast xp/inf/tickets/whatever.
And as for humility, MA, it was just a way of covering the fact that I hadn't taken a stance on this particular issue one way or the other.

Any xp/inf change and the majority of players wont ever use it again.
Edit:
Question: I have made an arc that is designed to be a constant ambush mission (still needs tweaking) of insane high numbers. If you are strong enough to take the damage and dish it out then the rewards are immense, would you consider this a farm or a fun and entertaining challenege?

Yea, would hopefully reduce the amount of request for powerlevelling in Atlas and get it back to Peregrine.
But I would not advice to reduce the XP gain to 0. Do allow xp, but perhaps not full xp.
Cause if you remove it fully, then less people will play it.
Ok less arcs will also be made, but if that are farm badges, then good. I say this cause I wanted to play a short arc.. a mission. So I loaded up a 5 star arc (short) and thought "Oh great". Then I see the contact and I think.. "okaaay?" I enter and its a farm mission. Its not even a good mission with text, feel or good custom mobs.
And the second mission (different arc) was the Dreck map (kill all)... I mean I... my brain was pudding after playing through that bit.
But back to topic...
Take all xp away and we have less people inclined to play the content, so just reduce it to an amount that will not be worth it for the xp-farmer.
ADD a Favourite tab, so we can easily find the fun arcs we played amongst alot of dribble.

As others have undoubtedly suggested, there should be a classification system so that we can cut to the kind of mission we want without having to wade through missions we don't want.
Story, Farm and Challenge would be good starting categories.

I don't actually think your assumption is true, but even if it is, surely it makes more sense to target the MA at the players who're interested in new missions than at the players who're only in it for the XP.

I think it would be a bad thing because there are people who publish a farm arc as well as proper arcs for story while they're at it. Cut the rewards and we have them gone.
Then there are the new players, experimenting what other players have come up with. Cut the rewards and they're off to Faultline, Talos, IP, anywhere where they can get "normal" xp/inf.
Then there are people whose enjoyment is part an enganging story and part earning new powers (e.g. earning XP, leveling up, getting the new power). Cut the rewards and some of them will also leave. Why should they have to choose between the two things that make their gameplay fun?
After any inf or xp change we would have the majority of current MA users gone. Not from the game necessarily, but at least from using MA which would, in effect, hurt those who just want to have fun in MA playing new arcs.
