That's the one.
The clever costumes I've seen in the game have all been fully clothed (Zortel's Cauter, for example).
I've never done anything other than laugh at a character who wears practically nothing (and that being said, some of Weasel's non-speedo based outfits are actually pretty good).
Do they look heroic or evil? Or contain hints of it (patch of zombified skin showing)?
That's what impresses myself.

I guess it depends if i like the cossie in general. Scantily clad or wearing a baggie jumper doesn't really matter too much provided I think it looks cool. If I run into a semi naked female toon with a hook for a hand, robot legs and an exposed brain I sigh and move on.

Actually, I'd have a check for a bio. If there is one there and it's well written, I'd probably appreciate it more, than if they had no background whatsoever.

I'm tempted to make a "Huge Model" robotic toon called "Posing Pouch" now.
And dress him up with skimpy speedos and bunny rabbit ears just to prove a point.
Thank heaven it's Friday otherwise I might be going crazy... 
I did manage to make a "naked toon" with Queen Nefertiti as an experiment and it worked quite well. All she was wearing when you looked at her was a scarf and a pair of high heels 
It was simply by using a white skin colour with a white body suit. For fun she also was surrounded by pink body sparkles. Everybody I teamed with in the costume were amused by it, I had no complaints at all. I did get bored though, and changed it

Pathetically i will actually devote serious amounts of time to the aspects of the costume, because, as a dude playing with a female avatar, i do not want to slide in to the "perv" Zone, which lets face it is my natural habitat.
that said, i looking mostly to see if they have done anything interesting with the costume or if it is a case of "less is more"

Actually, I dont care if someone wants to make a 'nude' costume per se, its some of the names (and occasionally stories) that I tend to be annoyed about more.
I have 2 characters that I suppose fall into the minimal category..
Black Maria is actually completely covered, its just that the cover is a very thin, completely black layer of negative energy. rather difficult to show as anything other than matt black all over.
Steel demon IS naked (well, apart from some chains and other fun accesories!) because, well, she IS a demoness... thats how she was brought up.
So as long as there is a sensible (or funny!) reason for why the character does what they do, it doesn't worry me. My only objection to nude characters is justification (so it makes sense to me...)
Hm. Pyra has worn some rather revealing cossies in her time, and I'm not creative enough to do a particularly good bio....if thats enough for people to make a decision not to team with me without even getting to know me then I think that's pretty mean.

hehe Luna Wisp has one completely nude costume slot. She's been 'granted' angelic status and has wings to prove it! You can't see anything though because she has a full white all body glow that turns her into a white dot. her other costumes are more suitable for a family show

Whenever I see a completely naked character with a suited name (i.e. "Naked Girl") I'll wonder who stole their creativity and move on. It's the costumes which seem unfinished that irk me more - I'll stare at them for ages thinking of ways they could be made better.
My reactions range from "oh god, not an other one" to "oooh, that looks good" and move on...
My own costumes...
Generally, they're fully clothed (or at least decent).
Although, I usually do have a 'sexy' slot on most my female toons. This doesn't mean nude... for instance one such 'sexy' slot is almost fully covered except for the face and neckline
with odd skin colours, one can aproximate the skin colour. As such, I've used the "tights+shorts" to make thigh high stockings, though this means the lack of underwear...
Once I had a set, one was a conservative business suit (with the stockings...) and an other costume slot with the exact same costume... except for the skirt removed and the hair let down. The length of the jacket covered, though not to the stockings, which had a (I find) sexy effect... which I never had out in public...

Now when they gives us long skirts..(slit skirts...) and necklines...and perhaps some decent necklaces...and shoes...
Sometimes skin showing works for some characters, other times it doesn't.
As for my own charactes, it#s pretty much the same. Some of them wear more revealing clothes, and some of them don't. It depends on their personality and background.

When Miss does revealing costumes I usually joke with her about it and then we move on. For any other characters who have little or no clothes on... who cares. They're just pixels.
I think I would be more morally outraged if I had a child and they were playing the game. Hay, we're all allowed doubble standards sometimes

It depends a great deal on the costume. As far as I'm concerned, there's a lot of effort between sexy and perverse. I have absolutely no problem with a female alt who could be described as scantily clad, I'm a man after all and I know what I like looking at, it's just a case of whether the costume works.
I spend a long time on the costume, and it's important that the whole ensemble works. Your hero/villain would look bad in entirely one colour, it's no different if they're entirely naked skin, it's all just one boring colour. If she starts to have an excessive amount of skin showing, often I change it to something more off the wall like blue or green in order to make it more resonant with the costume instead of being gratuitous.
You can spot pointless perversity a mile away, it's usually just a human woman in a bikini and heels, quite likely the creation of a young fool who giggles at the softcore porn on the top shelf. But otherwise there's no inherent problem with a scantily clad character, it's practically the job of female heroes to be sex icons as much as heroic figures.
