Not to sound like sour grapes here

Sorry, but I clipped the part after this where you managed to achieve exactly what you first stated you didn't intend to achieve, by complaining about the devs being unable to achieve that which you believe they first stated their intentions to achieve.

So from these posts, it seems that unless you come in and post with nothing but sunshine posts and yay everythng the devs says is uber wonderful, you shouldn't bother to state an opinion. Sorry, that's not the way open forums work. They are meant for discussion, whether you agree or not.

I really didn't want the post to sound negative. But there have been a lot of negative things in a sequence over the last few months, and stating that perception is simply telling the truth as I and some others see it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Oh no! You mean things might happen during development that push an *estimated* time back!

Say it ain't so! Obviously that never happens *Anywhere* else.

Go visit the dairy section, you're in danger of running low on cheese to go with that.

Oh, by the way... we had to pay for the *last* expansion - NOT ISSUE - as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

I never said an estimation couldn't be inaccurate, if you care to actually finish reading before you start formulating your response. All I said was that for the minimal amount of content contained in this issue, missing an estimate by 2 hours is pretty poor.

[/ QUOTE ]

And for someone who seems to have an understanding of what an "estimate" is, whining about it when it's *just* this long is pretty poor.

[ QUOTE ]

And I never suggested that we didn't have to pay for the last expansion. Again, Reading Comprehension 101 comes in handy. What I said was that we haven't been told anything that is coming down the pike except for the expansion (which, of course, we have to pay for just as we did the last one).

[/ QUOTE ]

Your direct quote:

[ QUOTE ]

Add in that the only thing we've heard about coming down the pike is an expansion that we'll have to pay for.

[/ QUOTE ]

The wording itself sounds like the last one we *didn't,* or - like a few others - you're confusing *issue* with *expansion.*

[ QUOTE ]

That doesn't tell us anything about what we can expect in future issues, which is something this creative team has done several times over the last year or so.

[/ QUOTE ]

When have they really, *really* laid out "hey, they next few issues, you can expect this?"

They're doing nothing different than they have done in the past.
[ QUOTE ]

A little information, even if it's just an idea of things to come, would go a long way to helping smooth what has been a fairly erratic series of events from many people's perspective.

[/ QUOTE ]

OK, here's a little information:
We have a paid expansion coming.
We have other, non paid issues coming.
They will include things, likely proliferation, costumes, missions, task forces, possibly zones.
They will not include having your very own inflate-a-zombie shipped to your door.

Speaking complete out of my [censored] (mostly because I can't remember the details of each issue), I do think it is risky when an issue revolves around one big feature and very little else. When someone just isn't into the big feature, it makes the issue seem pretty thin.

For instance, I've never gotten the 5th Column mystique, I think that replacing them with a similar facist organization was stupid storywise, and think bring them back is stupidier still since it sounds like a lot of you liked them better in the first place. I'll run the Task Force because I'm a TF fiend but if that and some faces and a couple costumes is all they've got, I could have waited to see it in a full issue with some other bells and whistles.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

So. If you're on a villain, go to the RWZ. All of the mission giving contacts, including Borea and Lady Grey, now say "I don't talk to villains, $name." and offer no missions.

Shades of things to come with a more open world and moral compi? (Compi is the plural of compass, right? )
