Probably not, especially if a single "official" server pops up.
The rules might be different. They could be contaminated with ideology, cronyism, bias, server-end adjustments to mechanics that serve bias, and other unprofessional administrative conduct. (this can be worse if the servers are not open-sourced)
I have been witness to the quality of emu servers that are popular, and it almost always ends in a political crisis and abuse of power. *cough*pso*cough*
I know a majority of people will leap to an emu server as soon as it appears, but I will keep Nov 30th the last day, after which I will move on. You can "resurrect" it for yourselves if it makes you happy. -
Keep your eyes open for a youtube of me slicing a sandwich in half with my Champions Online retail disc.

Well, I got my test alt to 10, deleted and re-rolled. The costume options then became visible.
Not allowing new players to at least SEE the full range of costume options when creating their first character is perhaps the stupidest game mechanic I have ever seen. I say that after quite a bit of thought.
The stupidest, most shoot-yourself-in-the-foot-ish, dumber than a bag of hammers thing I have ever seen in an MMO. There. I said it.
Now if I could just get access to the costume parts I just paid for, but that's another issue. -

Also note, blocks are significant, but the block enhancers are optional. They add something over and above inherent block, but things like the additional damage blocked are not chiefly what they are sought for. -

I'm aware, and those Secondary effects are nice and varied-- some of them are more practical than others, though, and some of the purchased Advantages are significantly more desirable. Compare Energy Shield to Force Shield in purchased Advantages: Force gives a few seconds of block after you stop blocking. Energy gives block every time you attack. That's a pretty big difference, and it makes Energy WAY more practical.

Most other shields are 250% to all.
These shields are most certainly not created equal as far as hard numbers go, and some of the advantages they get are miles better than others. -
Watch karma come around one of these days. For example, let's imagine that Blizzard decides it wants to stop supporting Korean Starcraft players. Now, while that may not be exactly the same, the outrage would be quite similar, and potentially worse.

Well we did ask for the content to get more serious right before Vibora Bay, and it did start to go that way. They delivered on that partially with the tone of VB, then started cranking up the dial.
Fret not, we will have spurting wounds, sex, and broken bones any day now. -

The only other mission I remember is only memorable because it made little sense. This would be the mission against the Purple Gang in Milennium City, which would be completely forgettable, except for the last bit where the leader of the Purple Gang, which appears to be a street-thug/Mafia-esque gang, inexplicably has come into possession of a mind control device. It is never explained how such an exotic piece of hardware has fallen into such mundane hands. If the gang leader is some kind of tech genius, or has connections to a tech genius, it is never evident before, during, or after the mission, not that I can remember. That's so weird that people are saying it does not teach you anything and that you get lost in the tutorial. A dialog should have appeared on the upper left when you first entered, then when you attack your first enemy, and on the right to show you missions(even has a 3d compass to help you find your way)
When you finish the tutorial you end up at the powerhouse. They actually added new things via the trainers to explain in text, visuals, and speech how game mechanics function.
Is all of this being ignored? I figure if someone wants to know how to play a game, they will jump on every piece of information that is given to them. I see things that say the contrary. It's like people go into it wanting to quit already and just ignore dialogs that are generally hard to miss.
It's like trying to assemble a cabinet(not Ikea, that's a bit different) and tossing the instructions aside, then another copy of the instructions, then reaching a point of frustration and pointing fingers at the manufacturer for ruining your day. -
