Discussion: Super Booster II: Magic Details!

I like this set a lot. I'm a bit surprised by the power , I hope it uses a wand or staff or something in its animation, that is sort of what I was hoping to see.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm hazarding a guess that the power, being tarot-themed, is more likely to involve a deck of tarot cards than a wand or staff.

Well it's fine becuse the Cyborge Self Destruct has an animation that only fiits well with metalic or robotic or heavey armored costumes.. but that's cool
I am so wanting to see these thigns i action

I mean, honestly? Where has the modeling guy's time gone? And not just Jay. I see needing a 2d artist to make up the UI. And an environment artist to do the building. AND effects/animation artists to do the effects.
But that ONE building couldn't have seriously drained all the art talent they had. Right? It was just one building. Copy/pasted around. It's a more than little suspicious.

IIRC, I believe Jay once commented that most of his time went into NPC costumes for new enemies. In the interview that Hero 1 did about i14, he commented that they did it in 8 months and that pace was "amazing". So even though we haven't gotten new enemy groups for a couple of issues, the graphics guys could be working their butts off for new groups that will show up in i15 or i16.
Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.
There is no telling what this will look like. It'll probably show a tarrot card over your head like the paper/scissors/rock thing.
I was just hoping we'd get something wizardly like wand you use to banish the Lost with from the Midnighter's arc.

Very nice stuff in the packs! I'll be getting the MA edition to take advantage of the free month as well.
Now if only I could wear all the belts with the trenchcoat or any jackets. And finally have sandals without the ugly socks attached to them! Then I'd be oh so happy and could overlook the Wizard beard not being available for female characters!
Love the stuff for the 2nd booster pack, definitely plan on getting it when it's released. I wonder if the pics shown are all the pieces or are there some that weren't shown.

What about the boots and the frockcoats? Are they available for female characters?
Could we have some classy rather than skanky options please?

It's been that way for a week or two, for a reason
However, I just thought it was a simple emote until yesterday. Even I can be surprised

I think it is fair to say, that the only thing sexier than Jay, are the costumes sets he creates.
Also; I have a character called 'Lady Fortune' for whom the tarot card power will be perfect . I am quite happy about this pack.
Can we use tickets to unlock these costume pieces for level creation without buying the pack?
I keep telling myself I just have to wait six more days, but damn, I want this now!
Will probably be picking up Architect as well for the free month, assuming it's as cost effective as the Mac version + Valkyrie pack purchase. (Plus, hey, now if I ever switch to a Mac, I already have the client!)

*Also; No, the females won't get the "Wizard Beard"

Dammit Jay, do you have any idea how long I've been waiting to roll out my Bearded Lady character concept?*
And by the way, going off the earlier post about free costume change animations -- just take teleport and keybind your costume changes. A simple "/bind [key or key+key2] cc [00 through 04]" should do it. (Without quotes or brackets, and come up with your own combos -- for example, I use Control+A for cc 00, which is the base costume, then Control+B for cc 01, and so on.) Then you just have to call up teleport, click a short distance away, trigger the keybind during the animation and poof! Your costume changes in a flash of light. It's a trick I already use on my main magic-themed character. Heck, you can even use it to duck out of sight and teleport to another location during the costume change to preserve your secret identity.
*I have no such concept. But now I'm thinking about it...maybe some kind of electric theme from the static generated by that bristly beard...

[/ QUOTE ]
Ticket unlocks will always be for MA critters, never for player costumes. The primary reason is because character costume parts are per character (especially those that require missions, defeat badges, and Inventions), which could limit one's use of the MA per character, vice the desired per-account method.
That being said, things like the Valkyrie and Cyborg sets cannot be bought with tickets at all (AFAIK). The only way you can use these parts, on a player character or MA critter, is through purchasing them. It makes it an even more compelling reason to purchase the packs. Take that as you will.

I’d like to hedge off the flamers in advance, the “High Collar” clips with most of the sholderpads, sorry. I love you all.

...and that suddenly isn't a problem?
Hey Jay, how about some more Widow hairstyles? Since clipping apparently isn't a problem?
