What server do you play on the most?

**Honestly too many variables to go into, You could be on a more l33t minded server or, your play style may be to power level and not do actual missions or maybe it is just how long you've played the game...Who knows. But I can tell you happens to me like clockwork about once a month or so. I play nearly every day as well even if it is only to log in and manage IOs or something for a few minutes.

And NO ONE is saying this will make cookie cutter builds moreso...

I think the problem with you people getting supposedly kicked because of your powers is more than JUST that. Here is a great example of that:

Teamed on a lowbie team with me on my TA defender a few melee, an emp and a ice/storm controller. We picked up the troller after about 2-3 missions...and before them we were doing great...not steam rolling but moving at a nice comfy pace. BOOM... troller gets on and unleashes gale, hurricane, and tornado in one mob.... The team leader asked them to please leverage their attacks better so as not to cause SO MUCH scatter... they continued to play like a complete moron... get ready for it though... their reason: "I am Loki I bring chaos!" ... I kid you not. Three of us were on skype and when he typed that it was a resounding WTF?!?!?! So after the mission with him... we "disbanded" and then reformed without him because we didn't want to seem rude by kicking him. He sent me a tell a few minutes later asking if I wanted to team and I told him "No sorry not atm...pllaying with friends." He then asked if he could join to which I politely told him no...but wished him GL and Have fun.

Anyways my point is....not always the powers....usually the person behind the powers.

And I have played many toons without "needed" powers; kins without SB/ID etc. If someone wants to kick me based on their preconceived notion on my performance based off of powers i have taken or not taken...their loss.
I'm a big storm player...can't count the number of times I have been kicked BEFORE a team even gets started. Simply looked at my power sets and just kicked me. Same with my cosmic themed Energy blaster types. I think the perception problem is that you may just play with close friends a lot. I PUG a lot simply because none of my real life friends still play the game and I am an altaholic which thanks to the way SGs are limited by numbers of characters instead of players means I'm not really a good fit for joining other people's SGs..and I can tell you it happens a whole lot.

This is a mistake and will only cause more social friction in the game.
    completely 100% agree!
  6. Hi,

I was sitting here looking at the Concealment pool because I want to get Phase Shift and there are three invisibility based powers that I have to pick two of to get it and my character has no interest in invisibility powers..so I was thinking that there simply has to be a better way of doing this and then I remembered a thread I read a long time ago that had something like this in it. Not sure what that thread was but have to give credit where it is due.

Anyhow, Why not level gate the Power Pool tiers and accelerate that rate based on how many powers you have taken? When you think about this there are several really key levels where you get certain powers and you could easily make that the choice points, either take a cool power pool or your cool power from your primary or secondary. This already sort of happens with Ancillary/Epic pools because if you want all 5 powers from a pool you have to give up one of your top two secondary powers.

    The idea is simple:
You can pick a tier 1-2 power or a travel power starting at level 4 by itself (this will in turn allow you to pick a tier 3 power at 14th and if you pick two you can also choose tier 4 or 5)
You can pick a tier 3 power without picking a tier 1-2 or travel power starting at level 24
You can pick a tier 4 or 5 power without picking another power from the set starting at level 34
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this way if you want that tier 4 or 5 by 14th level you have to take an early power or two, just like it is now, but if you don't want that power you can just wait and get it at 24th when you would normally be picking a different power. Also, simply skipping to get the tier 5 power that normally requires you have two powers picked is balanced by putting it at the 35th power choice because you are having to choose between that power, your top two secondary and your epics.

Anyhow, I think something like that would work and still have checks and balances because simply grabbing top tiers from each power pool would count against that epic/top secondary group and help control a lot of the min/maxing that might be possible by allowing people to pick top pool powers without prerequisites. What do you think?
  7. My number one want is a bird beaked mask..similar to Blue Falcon .

Thigh high boots for Men, i'd love a swashbuckler style but regular would work as well.

Amulet on a headband. More head bands and arm bands in general. Specifically technological looking wrist bands that look like you might have buttons to push on them.

    Player's Summit

I was pretty stoked they seemed to like my "dynamite bandoleer" suggestion and Rad armor is the set I most wanted them to make since City of Villains came out. I just couldn't understand how they could put out a Villains expansion without radiation powers! ZOMG lol
  9. Yeah I saw it, hope they post the image so I can get a better look at it. It looked great from what I could make out of it.
  10. Its tomorrow! Can you post some screen shots already

    Must see cosmic aura thingy!

This is what I thought about gun holsters when I heard we were getting a wild west set!
  12. I don't know. I could be wrong here but I don't recall any week being this lite and with the character slots being half off..it makes me think we may see staff fighting today after a bit of a delay..which has happened in the past.
  13. I've always thought, since the game first came out, that one thing CoH really missed was having a stable of "generic" villains for hire like you see in the comics that go from faction to faction just for the money.

When the safeguard missions came, and you put the rogues gallery of villains in there, I thought that finally there would be a push in that direction and that maybe we'd have a chance of seeing them in other places. But this never happened.

To that end I'd recommend creating a rogue's gallery of super villains . You can make them scale in level as needed or just have different villains that appear at different levels. With this system you could beef up the encounter fights that you think need it, while also making the encounter more colorful and breaking the GIJOE/COBRA mentality that seems to be in every faction in the game. You could also do random spawns called "heists" with special rewards and give people a reason to patrol . You could add all the new villains to the safeguards as well. I'd give a badge for each individual super-villain in the rogue's gallery and make it fun trying to collect them all.
  14. I think these are the most likely elements.

    1. Recharge Buffs
    2. Slows
    3. Some use of the new clone tech. Maybe as a pet, mirror image or a limited phantasmal pet like affect. (Think Gang War)
    4. A hold of some sort, if not an AoE hold.
    5. Regen or Healing probably hybridized with Recovery ability.
    6. A unique take on self-intangibility/hibernation/timestop (I highly doubt they go the way of a cage power)
    7. Something AoE that both slows the enemies and super recharges the team. (Temporal Flux ability similar to Fulcrum Shift)
    8. A cool rez ability. Like maybe a Time Portal similar to the rikti portals that rez's everyone near it)
    9. A level shift related power.
    9. Something that combines a power we're use to with a teleportation affect.( Like an absorb pain 'rescue' heal that also teleports the target to the Time Manipulator)

Who knows thought right? can't wait to see the set!
  15. I have always dreamed of a series like this for the Avengers. Now it is here! This show is absolutely fantastic. The story telling and characters are spot on and the giant tapestry of plot lines that are being slowly introduced leaves me really dying for each new episode to come out. WELL DONE MARVEL!

I agree, this cape should be non-metallic imho, or at least have the option.
  17. My only question is this. If you take the fitness pool as an inherent power, does it count against the 4 power pools you can have anymore?

Like now I may have fly, fitness, fighting and leaping on a character. Would this allow me to have fly, fitness, fighting, leadership and fitness as an inherent?

  19. I'd like wider eye beams. More Darkseid or Cyclops like than Superman.

  21. All I know is that if I don't get my bird beak soon I'm going to have an aneurysm. We really need to finish off the anthropomorphic stuff that is incomplete in this game.
  22. If I were going to create a way to get around this I'd setup a list under options with each power that can buff you. I'd put three checkboxes for each where you could pick from 1) Auto Accept 2) Accept with no Visuals(in non PvP zones only) 3) Auto Decline

Much, much better. Enough that I'd pay for it, as a matter of fact.
Yeah, I didn't get the answer I was hoping for. But at least now I know that I better get comfortable playing on a server other than Virtue because I have way to many characters to make with the new heroic/villainous combos that are possible from switching sides.

What is the next booster pack and when is it going to be released?

War Witch: The next booster pack, as you have already asked about, is the Mutant Pack! We're working to get it to you before we release the Expansion. I can't give specifics, but you'll dig it!

Have you considered any extra travel powers with-in the game?

[Castle] As a matter of fact, we always discuss new travel powers and had a meeting this morning to discuss this. (NOTE: To clarify, there are no new travel powers planned for Going Rogue!)
1+1 = 2!! Tunneling power for the mutant pack! lol
