The Mutant theme costume sets unlock all-new heads, armor, sleeves, shoulders, gloves, tails, wings, pants and boots.

  • Organic Armor
  • Bioluminescent

Both costume sets include tintable costume pieces, a new feature that allows you to create unique glows for individual costume pieces.

Feedback is important to our development process, there are two types of feedback and both are helpful although some give us more insight and are more easily adapted into game changes.

Objective Feedback: Objective feedback is based upon what you as a user see or experience that other users may also see and experience. This feedback usually can be replicated easily as it involves facts and unbiased opinions. Example: When using the base editor items are sometimes getting caught in columns or pillars.

Subjective Feedback: Subjective feedback is based upon how you feel or experience the game as yourself. This experience may not necessarily be replicated because it is based on feeling and emotion. Subjective feedback is important to us but it is usually helpful if more information is present to describe what and why you feel the way you do. Example: I like the way the graphics look on my shield animation it gives me the feeling of being truly super-powered.

Subjective:

I like the organic armor except the female boots. I don't understand why all the special boots always have to have heels; particularly for 'organic' parts that could be part of the character's flesh. I really hoped there would be one for Monstrous option.

It might be that I cannot use Ultra Mode; Is Bioluminate supposed to, well, luminate? They shed no light at all.

nor any new heads. New faces, yes, but not heads.
Wings are missing until I fiddled with Costumes Sets; perhaps others are locked out by accident?

Subjective:

That skin texture of the Organic Armor is too smooth and shiny. I expect that when there are gnarly branches growing on a creature that it does not grow on smooth and shiny leather skin. I would think that the skin should have a rough texture.

The luminescent parts of both costumes should glow brighter.

And there should be more bits that glow on the Organic Armor costume.

Subjective
1) No new tails whatsoever.
2) No new heads for monsterous whatsoever.
3) Bio Organic armor needs to have a 'with skin' option to go with it otherwise the only way to match skin types is to use unnatural colours and this creates a problem when matching it up with the Bio Organic face option which IS a skin option.

Subjective: Bill's got some new gorram battle armor. EDIT: Except there are no organic armor warps for the large hooves or any other monstrous feet. That's bad.

Be well, people of CoH.

I noticed there is only one face option with Organic Armor. Can there be an Organic Armor option for Detail 2, so it can be overlaid with any face?

Both sets are great, but organic armor is friggin' fantastic. Nice work.

One thing, though...

Does this just mean that pieces of those sets glow? If so, I think they need to glow more - I couldn't tell at all. The way this was written, I was expecting a new button or slider or something, but can't find anything like that.

The organic armor would look great with the Rularruu claws

Subjective:

The wings are awesome.
Bioluminate is very nice, shame that the back of the head has such a specific match to the chest selection, though. The Biolum face is excellent.

Did I miss an organic armor belt option?

Very disappointed that monstrous gloves and leg options are not compatible with the new pieces.

Subjective: The 'crown of horns' Organic Armor detail 1 has eight back-arching horns, one pair of which is much wider than the rest. Could we get an alternate version in which they're all roughly level?

Objective Feedback: I see no new heads or tails. I see no glow from any of the new costume items (I am not running Ultra Mode).

Subjective Feedback: I can only hope this is an error, and much of the intended items are missing/broken. Please inform us when the rest of the booster is put onto Test, so we can give feedback on the entire thing.

If this is the entire thing, I think this may be the first booster I skip. The costume sets, as they appear to me now, don't come anywhere close to the levels of quality I had come to expect.

This is a significant omission.

Subjective: No new heads or tails. Calling it a Mutation pack is... wrong. You know we've been asking for animal heads and tails, and you just made more demonic pieces.

Sorry but I have to quote this.

Subjective feedback: So far, the weakest booster pack . Is it me or is the organic armor very Saint Seya-ish? After the martial arts pack?
Still looking for anything mutant related. Even among the costume change emotes, only one looks vaguely mutant-like.
Honestly, you should really change the name of this pack.

Did you do something to make the eyes glow? I try something like that, and I get nothing unusual/glowing at all.

Objective Feedback
- Not seeing any new heads, unless face textures were what was meant.
- Tails are also notable in their absence.
- Some textures are not compatible with certain body types:

  • Organic Armour cannot be used with Monstrous hands
  • Monstrous Feet cannot use either Bioluminate or Organic Armour
  • Organic Armour head overlay can only be used on the Organic Armour face type. Granted, this one may be a technical restriction due to it changing eye colour as well.

Subjective Feedback
- Just wanted to echo the sentiments of some others regarding effects on the new costume pieces. I'm not seeing any glow on either of the sets while running in ultra mode settings.
- Would also like to agree with the request for a skintone based version of the organic armour set (top, bottom, gloves and boots), as the current one doesn't blend at all with many of the existing skin colours.
- Maybe a bit of a steep request, but would a chest detail (and maybe belt) that fits with the organic armour twisty-horns style be possible? A couple more options to mix and match with are always good.
- Overall, the quality is awesome, on par or higher than the previous packs, but the quantity feels a little lacking. The existing pieces seem very specific and - as they are now - may not mesh well with other parts, even related ones such as monstrous heads/hands/legs.

Subjective feedback: The elephant labored mightily for 11 months, and then, with great noise and fanfare, brought forth ... a mouse.

Seriously, this is what we get? Two costumes. No new tails. No new monstrous heads. No new monstrous legs, nor do the two skins we get go with costume legs. Both for very specific-looking character concepts: great if you were trying to make a snake with glowing stripes or a copy of Spawn, worthless for anything else. Heck, they both look more demonic than mutant, to me. Out of all the mutant concepts out there, these are the two we got? This will be the only costume pack I don't buy. No temptation at all.

Dig the eyes, bass.

As for rularuu claws... the left arm rularuu claw is still mounted incorrectly on the forearm. The right arm rularuu claw is also at an odd slant.

Until that's corrected, I can't use them. And yes, I did check again because I also thought it would look awesome.

EDIT: I will go ahead and jump in on the "what? no new monstrous heads and tails?" bandwagon. I mentioned my disappointment that we didn't get corresponding pieces with the existing monstrous legs.

EDIT2: And Dark Ether, slap back on the hooves with the rest of that and it will be my primary costume come go live.

Be well, people of CoH.
