I don't understand why you're making it even easier to travel to a mission. At least considering giving it a very long recharge timer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Um... you enjoy spending a lot of time traveling to missions?

It doesn't take very long to travel to missions. Killing all zone travel makes too many zones vacant which is not good.

Encountering other players is important and brings more socializing to the game.

I don't use my time between missions looking for other players to socialize with. I use it for thinking "ugh, I have to go to where!?"

I'm thinking that the mission tp power may be more of a long recharge power.

Mission teleporter, so lazy we have become.

I'd find this quite handy for the final mish of Numina's TF tyvm

Possibly dumb question: Is this going to be a separate retail box? Or will the new versions of GVE come with both and somehow differentiate the serial numbers (or change the included goodies altogether?).

Having my main PC in for repair and having to play CoH on my old one (with a whole 512 Mb RAM), I would kill for the mission teleporter. Getting across zones is taking me longer than doing the missions in some cases.

It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba

From what they've said, they won't actually be a retail box, it will only be available digitally from Transgaming's online store or from the NCSoft online store. It is separate from the PC GvE, so buying the Mac game won't give you the Jump pack or other current GvE goodies.

I would presume, if this does well, that future retail boxes would have both clients in the box.

If this gets me off Windows totally I will so buy this, use it, and never look back.

I can't wait for the add on to be buyable for the PC side. More costume options are always nice, and the Mission Teleporter will save me much annoyance in Nerva and IP.

curious to what the costume pieces look like

Personally I love the little packages that we can buy for the extra costumes and powers and emotes. As long as they stay in the 5-10 dollar range I don't see how anybody could seriously complain about them.

[/ QUOTE ]

I like them too. It is always a choice then if you want them or not. At least we don't have to pay for expansions like in "other" MMOs. I won't complain about paying extra for extras as long as they're free.

edit: LAST post before a redname.

This is what i want to know. A friend of mine plays COH in her Mac through Bootcamp and she's dealing with crash issues. Will she have to rebuy the game to get the Mac version or can she just download the mac client from her account page?

[/ QUOTE ]

She can download the Mac client for free when it is released.

EDIT: Of course as soon as I post this it magically works. Never mind.

SO EXCITED! Jack Emmert said this would never ever happen and as a long-time Mac user who had to steal her husband's PC before getting an XP partition to play on, this is fantastic news for me. I don't even care about the perks, I just want to play Macside.

Thank you so so so much!

Kinda going crazy...as a Mac user been wanting this since forever (and since Jack Emmert said he had no intention of ever doing it), but the site will not allow me to submit my application. I've taken out all the offending symbols, pared my system info the bare minimum, tried different browsers on my Macs and my husband's PCs...nada.

Help me...help me please...

Line breaks throw errors. In this case the Return/Enter key is not your friend.

Simple solution.....if you don't like it, don't buy it or use it. I personally can't wait for it and I hope the recharge time is not super long.

Same thing here, put all specifications in from "System Profiler", ended up just saying MacBook (as that is what I currently have.

But when this goes live, PC out window, Mac in the house.

Heh, I tried deleting all my line breaks immediately after posting just in case, and that did it. Wish they'd mention it on the form! Thank you for the help anyway!

The one piece of information that I looked up in the System Profiler was the video card involved (ATI Radeon X1600). Hmmm, probably should have mentioned just 128 MB VRAM.

As long as I can buy this stuff for my account down the road... I'm all kinds of cool with it.

Transgaming is the Cedega people... which is WINE + their own DX emulator.

Which means it will probably suck.

But Im willing to be proved wrong.

Nice hook for the Mac user! Thanks for making it available as well. The Valkyrie outfit looks interesting.

[/ QUOTE ]

What does it look like. I dont see any pics.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think he mean "sounds interesting" rather than "looks interesting". We'll have pictures and more information about the extras in a follow up article.

the page keeps spitting my application back as "Bad Input"

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm having this problem too. Not using any of the special characters they're calling out either.

EDIT: Got past it. I think it chokes if you use to many lines (carriage returns?) in the "Mac Info" field.

[/ QUOTE ]

Same here. Replaced my carriage returns with commas, and everything went through fine.

I think it is a perfect idea considering macs are generally owned by more creative people (artists, writers, etc.) and this game is the only MMO that really lets you be creative.

[/ QUOTE ]
Ummmm, what? That is the most stereotypical post, I've ever read in my entire life. Next all democrats have Powerbooks, right? WoW, just Wow. Think highly of yourself? If you think, these types of people have apples, because, they are more creative, think again. I bet its because, they don't know how to use windows, cause, you know the parts inside the machine are the same.

This is the greatest announcement for CoH since it went retail! More players, more options, on a great platform.

I guess I won't need Boot Camp on my Macbook Pro once this comes out. CoH has been the only program I run under Boot Camp. No more rebooting, no more XP.

Great decision! I can't wait to get the client!
